@@tonynesbit9673 the United final should never have taken place 3 days after the ECWC Final, as the players were shattered. We were never going to win the Liverpool final. Imagine the uproar, and excuses, if we had. At least we won it again in 95!
We were a few minutes away from the replay in 85,the heat killed us that day it was just a bastard game to far ,we would have murdered them in a replay,we would have been the lst team ever to do the proper treble plus doing the elusive double before them spawney bastards liverpool ,we never stood a chance against them beauts in both finals not after we handed them the league in 86 and became the sacrificial lamb in 89!l dont know what it is about the redshite but we just cannot beat them when it really matters,they beat us with ease,they just have us in their back pocket and always have from 1970 onwards bestide a few years were we matched them but look at our record against them since 1970 it really is appalling/ embarrassing ,every semi final and final against them we have LOST,FIVE including the replay finals against them and not won one they really are our nemesis, we did get some joy/luck in 95 though thanks to cantona kanchelskis Cole not playing and Giggs/ Scholes not being match fit,swings and roundabouts huh as they got all the luck in the 85 final,if Moran doesn't get sent off we would have got the treble .
And the following year, we won it!
Then the year after that we lost it,then the year after that we lost it again then 3 years later we lost it again, 1 out of 4 ?great eh.
