- In this video we are setting up a beautiful fish tank! We are making a little nano aquascape for some Celestial pearl danios! Probably the best looking nano fish you can get! I'm going for a natural ''river style'' aquascape with lots of pebbles and some boulders.

some time you look's like tom holand
reallyđ
how do you find the cpds like the flow? i heard they dont like it, but considering adding some to my rainbow shiner tank that has flow
How do you feed celestial danios Seriously ?
@@seguimenatalegawa4505 I feed mine micro crumb, cyclops, daphnia, vinegar eels they'll take nano pellet as well but struggle and spit out often
@@intheframemedia are micro crumbs Flakes? Or is it nano pellets?
Natural style is the best style đ
Love it!
Definitely better scapes than MD fishtanks...more interesting tutorials...
cpds are such a delight to keep. they have flanks like the night sky and fins like monarch butterflies. I have a group of 10 and they're so personable that I've been able to name them all individually. probably my GOAT fish
Seriously debating getting a load of these for my unstocked 60P dutch style species tank, or a few asian rummynose or ember tetras. CPDs definitely are one of the best looking fish I've seen, but I worry they'll be a wee bit too small to see in a 60p unless I got super close. Where do they hang out the most? In MJs tank they're mostly hanging out at mid level which would be ideal. But in the shop they're at the bottom so its hard to tell.
@@samg1879 I find theyâre actually mid-low. They love to weave in and out of plants and decor, which they stick pretty close to. Might be good to pair with a more open water, top third species in a tank that big. I think small fish in a tank that big will look great, as they will make the scale seem bigger.
@@samg1879 mine hang out in the mid to top but i had alot of floaters. since removing the floaters theyve come down to mid more often
Thank you for not making us wait three weeks for the 2nd part. I really appreciate it. Iâm planning a 190L natural, so this was great inspiration â€ïžđŠđș
Sparkling Gourami are just gorgeous fish when they mature and get settled. I have a group of 6 in a heavily planted tank and they breed all the time. So much character in a tiny package!
I have to do a tank for them!
Awesome set up. Unreal how you can say most of the plant names with ease, canât wait to see an update on these beautiful CPDâs.
Took some practice đ still not sure if I'm pronouncing it properly though!
@@MJAquascaping Every country pronounces things differently, you are doing just fine.
I enjoy your videos, and I learned a few things. keep going.
after a day full of watching people talk trash on social media about some things I can relate to, watching your videos really de-stress me and make me forget of all of those unnecessary things , thank you soo much , please keep on doing this ,I will always support your aquascaping work because it's healing to me đđđâŁïž
Love the simplicity this time, alot of tanks are just chocked full of plants now. Looks great and it reminds me of my own tank.
Glad you like it
I'm doing terrible i have day off from work watching nice CZcams channel good breakfast I tell you life is hard an oh slept in
Really feel bad for you đ
CPDs are awesome but not the best with shrimp. They go fine with adults but they absolutely smash shrimplets. So you won't have much breeding luck. Still a great set up though.
Also watch out they are exceptional at jumping out! Probably best to have a lid.
Sparkling Gouramis are the perfect nano fish, so interesting and the sounds they make are amazing. They do great with chili rasboras for color. They'd also love dwarf lilies for making bubble nests.
I read that they love hunting adult neocaridinas and caridinas. Is it your experience?
ââ@@l.cussenot3633 mine just look at the adults. They do eat the babies. They are way too small to eat an adult shrimp.
Next a dark water betta planted tank
Absolutely beautiful!
Awesome! Just awesome scape!
Beautifully setup. CPD's are always great đ
Minimalistic scape boosts the beauty of the galaxy rasboras..can't wait to see the colours pop up ..and watch out for their dance moves of these fishes
Diferent! Nice!
I love dwarf barbs I'm trying to get some of them, apparently when they are in a group, they search and explore all throught the water column and don't school as much, I like that bc I love veiwing my nano fish when they search and pick and eat off the plants and are inquisitive, ibe been keeping a group of red beckfords pencilfish I love them so much I'd love to see you make something with a nice group of them there so much fun to view, I have x4 males and x4 females but the males color up a vibrant red and they size each other up and duel each other constantly I want to get x4 more females honestly... lobve your videos my friend.. keeping fish is so relaxing and your videos are chill I love your scapes my friend!
Really love this one, especially the hardscape.
My favourite fish too!
Finally!!!! I love CPD's! Thank you for this!
Simple, but beautiful! Very nice Mj!
Absolutely beautiful tank man...
natural is the word that comes in mind...great job as always !
Beautiful scape. Learned a lot in the process of setting up my own CPD river tank. Thanks.
Love the fish choice.
Great natural nano aquascape
been waiting forever for a celestial pearl tank omg !! natural tanks are my absolute favorite im building one right now
Like it mJ, I love it everything you picked seems to have really flourished, cant wait to see an update on this set-up, great job!
Very Nice scape and videođ
Bootiful!
looks good and simple. Loved it
Thank you đ
I loved that old scape but this scape has so much charm. It looks like a bend in a stream.
Great scape, keep up the great work
Like this aqua scape, simple. I'm one year into the hobby, with two 15 gallon tanks. Love the hobby. It just seems like the United States does not have the same quality and variety of plants, and all things aquarium available. Great Channel đ inspiring.
Really like this natural river style! đđđ
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent production of your natural scape build. CPDs are by and far my favorite nano fish as well. Really enjoyed the little vlog you included to your local fish store. Immaculately clean and very well organized. Keep up the top shelf work good sir!
Love it!!
I love this set up, so natural and different and great choice of fish, my absolute fav nano species đ
Glad you like it!
I know I have said this before and it is worth saying again, you make this look so easy. I do like the dark stones/gravel. đđŒ
Looks good!!
Love this! Been saving all of your videos as i catch them to an Aquascaping playlist. Helps me to go back for any references and advice I need. :)
Glad you like them!
Awesome scape MJ!
Thanks!
Fabulous scape and super choice of fish. Love that Taiwanese Lotus and the placement of it behind those rocks.
Many thanks!
Love the CPD's i have 8 of those to
Weer een leuke video, leuk geworden dat bakje, lekker zomers, ook weer leuke vissen, die wil ik ook nog eens proberen. Ga zo door!
Love your videos
Just wanted to say thanks for always responding to your subscribers! Most don't respond at all at your level of talent and knowledge. From your help and watching your videos I now have hi tech light and running a fzone generator and my tank is something I am proud of now thanks again! Really thinking here you should write a book!
That's so cool to hear! Hope your tank will bring you a lot of joy!
I'm building a new Scape myself, always great to get some inspiration
Awesome! Enjoy the process!
Good one...
Planning a tank with these for my stepdad for Fatherâs Day. He loves fishing and they look like tiny rainbow trout to my eye. Want to set him up for success so trying to do a deep dive on care and possible set upsâ€
Love the simplicity of this scape but at the same time if you get up close it looks complex with the textures you created! Perfect fish choice đ canât wait to see them all colored up! The last two bettas I had also got bad fin rot for who knows why! Iâm hesitant to get another but want one so bad! I would love to see you do a betta scape! Keep up the great content!
Mooie scape.
Itâs looks so NATURAL đ
đ
That substrate looks awesome I am definitly ordering some! I just set up a riverscape, and it was hell mixing sand, coarse sand, gravel, rocks etc đ It turned out allright and it will only get better once the bristlenose and kuhlis start digging around but it was alot of work đ
I have never seen such great aquarium stores as I have seen in videos from Europe. I am very jealous!
Should have got some hillstream loaches as its a river style tank. I really want some but don't think they'd work in my heavily planted jungle style tank
MJ, I love the new scape! These are currently my favorite fish. I'm breeding a bunch of them. if you want them to be less shy, increase the number of fish and they will feel safer!
Very attractive set up. The coloration of CPDs makes me think of brook trout which are really appropriate for a stream or river theme.
Yeah you are right! They do look a little bit like mini trout!
Fabulous setup! Really like it, I think adding some B-roll of the tank will be better(like greenaqua). And in terms of the bettas, some bettas, from Indonesia or Malaysia such as betta hendra, will be the good choice for the next tank (whatever it is plant tank or black water biotope tank), if you can find them in your local fish shops. Very happy to see you start experimenting with more kinds of tanks. Looking forward to your next video! Cheers!
Had to google the Betta hendra! What a beautiful fish!
Love it and love you too â€
nymphoides spec was one of my first aquarium plants XD They grow like weeds, though...
Make a betta fish tank!
Ziet er goed uit Mark
Hey man love this, do you have an LED light behind the tank to illuminate the backing?
What is that cannister filter?
Amazing. Also please keep adding your cat to the videos whenever he or she is interacting with the tanks
Will do!
I went to this store during my trip in Amsterdam. I must admit this was one of the nicest and clean pet store I have ever seen. If only they where in America đ
Technically, river rocks that size are "cobbles," using the Wentworth sediment grain size scale.
could you maybe do a video about LED controllers and automation . also such a cute helper , you should include him more
Love this. As always, just so relaxing to watch. Did you put the CO2 back in?
Yes đ
Fantastic tank!! Hope you were able to put co2 back in for your plants.
I did!
I like your videos a lot, also learned many things about the hobby. May I ask you whereâs the background foil from, what brand? I really like it.
Lovely scape and the light screen is looking great. Iâve got one on order. Did you have to adjust the main light to compensate for the light from the screen?
Not at all
Love CPDs, watching the males 'shake' for the females is quite entertaining.
Cute :)
Hey Mark once you get those CPDS fat and happy feeding them up good with frozen or live bbs pull them out of that tank and move them into another tank and give it a few days. I did that and had about 40 fry pop up in the tank raised them up and they all ended up being female but it was an awesome experience and Iâd like to see you give it a try and see if it works for you. I saw breeding behavior so I figured if I removed them from the tank and left just the shrimp Iâd find at least one baby but I found a bunch
That's awesome! Definitely have to try that!
@@MJAquascaping it canât hurt to try! I had 1 male and 3 females to start with! Would make for a cool video series if you got some fry and were able to raise them up
You definitely should build an aquascape for a betta an try to keep one again
The diorama style may not be for you, but you are fantastic at creating them! But I totally get it, they are not my favorite, and much prefer the natural styles. This scape turned out great and those CPDs are going to thrive in there. Nymphoides Taiwan is one of my favorite plants, it has such a unique look to it.
I also just wanted to say that your video making skills have really evolved and your screen presence has as well. I know it is not easy, but you are doing a fantastic job. I also really appreciate all the time you take to do the right thing for the fish like going through a proper cycle, acclimation, etc. You are a terrific ambassador for the hobby, and just wanted to take the time to recognize your effort. Thank you for these videos! Take care.
Thanks so much Phil!
I wish my local fish store looked like that đ
Bad me forgot to add that I was told certain difussers will not work with lower pressure systems thanks again!
Nice.
Biotope are really "in" actually.
If you like, there are a french youtube channel who are great, gabaqua (probably in holidays actually).
Crazy about discus so more into big tanks, but interesting to see for the biotope visions in aquariums.
For the bettas, sorry to know that you had trouble with them.
I don't have some now (really nice fish, but i don't like to lose them)
but i have a tips i gave to all my friends who have them.
Don't use the thermo for betta (the one sold for bettas and always at 25).
In winter, they are in a hot bath but breath an air who are at 20 (sometimes less !) and they start to being sick.
A good old thermo that you use in winter only 2, maybe 3 degrees (max) up to the room and no more trouble.
Ik ben zelf ook meer natuurlijke aquariums gaadoen en ze doen het langer en je kan het een beetje laten gaan dat doet mij meer genieten ofzo!!
Late to the party here. But beautiful scape as always! Curious where did you get that wooden fertilizer, scaper tool holder that's next to your tank? That is beautiful and I would love something like that. The ADA one is about USD $226 which is crazy expensive.
Love the scape and you use my favorite fish! When you showed your co2 bottle made me think to ask you I am useing a co2 generator and it works very good.was wondering about your experience with difussers . I was told some will not work correctly with generators and d.i.y systems looking for some good advive. Thanks and keep up the great work!
The diffusers with ceramic discs, like the ones from Aquario work very well for me, even on DIY systems.
@@MJAquascaping Thanks for the help!
@@MJAquascaping Hey Mark , I took your advice and bought the aquario med difusser and it works incredible! Thanks again for the great advice!đ
Aquarium It looks very nice only fish are very sensitive to bad water parameters.
Great result!
I see you as a pro moss guy lol. Iâm starting a new build soon. Do you have a good recommendation for a moss variety thatâs better at growing vertical? - TIA! đđŒ
Try ''Flame Moss'' đ
What is the thought about adding the buce later? Less likely to melt in a cycled tank?
Yep!
Where do you get your background music? Great video! they're so cute!
From www.epidemicsound.com
Love the Wio pebble/gravel mix. Looks so natural indeed. I think they've got a winner there!
And the CPDs look like the perfect choice here. Hope you'll do more scapes in this style.
Really like this one Mark, lovely natural river scape.
Howâd the buce go with melt when you added it? I also have noticed that Bucephalandra melts in new setups .
Thanks Pete! I added the buce after about 10 days or so, and had no melt at all.
@@MJAquascaping thatâs good.
wow great again! where did you get those big rocks? Are you at Vivarium this year ?
The rocks are also from WIO, so I got it directly from them. I think these are the ''elderly boulders'' And yes I will be at Vivarium!
love that taiwan plant
just let it grow out of the tank just beautifull
Hi, i am a new in aquarium hobby, only love to see your channel. You putted aqua soil on back only. How the midground & foreground plants will take nutrients from there?
I'm pretty sure the roots of the Cryptocoryne will eventually find the aquasoil. But even if they don't that's fine! The aquasoil slowly releases nutrients to the water column, so the plants can benefit from that!
Gato đđ
Where can i find a tool holder/shelf like that?
Hello! What % of light do you use on wrgb 2 slim? (%of red, %of blue, %of green) thanks!!!
Have also wanted a scottish fold. They're not too common where I am tho and cost around $2k to get from a breeder. If only I had a connection somewhere to be able to get one... hint hint
Love the tank! You mentioned adding the buce in a few weeks to reduce the chance of it melting. Why is it more likely to melt in a new tank? Wouldnât the light/nutrients be the same regardless?
In a new setup with aquasoil you tend to get some ammonia spikes. I think that's the main reason why these tissue culture buce melt.
@@MJAquascaping ahh that makes sense. Thanks!
Hi, I have a rasbora galaxy in a community plant tank, all the fishes and plants are from southest asian, the biggest fish is the a shark labeo red tail but no aggressive, waters and parameter excellent, the question is tha rasboras galaxy died, do you have tips from care, I think are so delicated. Thanks đČđœ
Why would the Bucephalandra melt if you add it know?
