The GTA is back on the road now thanks to this video. Cheers Neil!
Good stuff.
Now thats how an engine must look!!!So beautifully 😍😍😍
Very nice of you to share all this. Thanks a bunch....
Another great video for a yet another job I have to do on my GT. Thanks for all the videos you make!
Enjoy.
Neil, with my OCD I just couldn’t even have started the job with those leaves distracting me! Seriously, I love your video content and the fact that the iconic Alfa marque is being fettled so deftly in the Midlands.
Need to do this today, thanks old chap.
Great video helped me do the slave cylinder on my 08 147 Diesel Collezone, had to use heat gun and penetrating fliud ( lots and lots ) . thanks for the help.
Thanks a million for the video, my clutch master just gave up on my 145
Thanks a lot, mate! Nice video!
thank you so much for your video and help!! good work
Thanks for wonderful educational videos, Neil.
Where from those little squeaks are coming when you start the car and shut it down at the end of the video. I have them as well since I did timing belt job, it's been a while now, they still haven't gone.
I can hear them in first gear as soon as car starts to move.
Thank you! 🇮🇹♥️
This video would have been more useful for me about 2 months ago cause I had to do this on my GT! Great video and keep up the good work!
Love the intro
Rik van Maurik thanks trying to add a bit more polish to the videos.
@@ItaliaAutos its clearly showing the last couple of vids, production value is going up 🤗
Awesome! Seems doable.
My issue is that my clutch and breaks work fine, but my clutch has not a lot of travel and seems quite far down to the floor. Might that be also to a faulty slave cylinder or is the clutch pedal arm just worn?
Great video as usual. Can such a failed slave cylinder be the cause of an pedal on the floor in an 164 3.0? Thank you so much
any advice on a clutch slave cylinder for a AR milano 87? nuts are off disconnected from clutch pedal but seems glued to firewall.
im about to do this job on my 1.9jtd 16v ..any tips for removing the air other that this ? something homemade ?
Thank you
Please advise on changing gtv6 clutch
Thank you for your great videos. I just got a serious problem with my auto/manual selespeed 159 jts 2.2. Everytime I drive the car and stop it for a while, and when I turn on the car, it would not shift from N. So, my challenge is to try to make it work somehow in the middle of nowhere. The town where I live, there is NO alfa romeo specialist or someone with some knowledge of selespeed. I am really desperate, to fix this car. It is the only alfa romeo on my town. I have checked the great box, changed the oil and filter. Now, we found a shredded rubber clogging the hydraulic pump, and trying to find tha part to change it. I have no idea what I have to do. I appreciate any advice. Please rescue Alfa Romeo in the desert!!
Hi Italia Autos.
Thanks for all this info and demo. Will this be the same on a 2005 , 1.9JTD 16v.
Thanks for any help..
Paul..
Sorry meant to have added , it's a 156
Exactly the same as on the Fiat Coupe, prob same parts incl gearbox too.
about 2 weeks too late for when i needed it, thankfully it ended up being an easy job
Remember not to use music when starting a v6 engine 😁😍😍😍
Great video, but I have the 1.8 ts so it's inside the gearbox isn't it? My clutch pedal just goes to the floor and doesn't spring back up, I can put it in gear when the engine is off otherwise it won't engage, could you give me you expert opinion on what you think is wrong? Thanks.
Hi kevin, did you end up getting this resolved?
Hey Qurtasi, Not yet no, I was out of work for a while but I'm working again now so I'll hopefully be getting it back on the road soon.
Hi. I just replaced the clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing and slave cylinder on my 2.4 JTD 156. I now have dificulty selecting gears and reverse grinds. I have bled the slave and master cylinder completely so that cant be the problem. I noticed the bushing from clutch pedal to master cylinder is kind of shot (deflecting abnormally). Could this lead to the clutch not disengaging fully? Or do you have any other suggestion that i can look into? Car shifts really smoothly when up to speed.
hi thanks for watching. i answer technical questions on patreon only please sign up and i will try to help thanks www.patreon.com/italiaautos
hello,
do You know what is the force(NM) to screw the 3 boltson head from suspension damper in engine bay for alfa 159 SPORTWAGON?
Prob 20 to 25.
Ok.thanks , cause i've heard about 50Nm
Is this a common problem on a 1.6 tspark? Is it relatively as easy to replace as this one in the video? Was driving down the motorway for a while and I couldn't get the car back into gear easy and clutch felt really spongy and light
Gearbox off job on the ts
@@ItaliaAutos Jesus... cheers for that pal stay safe
Do you know anywhere that sells the c-clip? i broke it when removing it...
same clip as on diesels but ive not had to buy one in years.
Just on time again. Got a fail on my clutch saying clutch doesnt release well enough, Would you think it is the slave cylinder?
Common part to fail.
@@ItaliaAutos thanks for the reply.
can someone tell me where is this slave cylinder located on 147 1.6 twin spark 2003, i was looking at the same place earlier and couldnt find it i removed the battery and the tray and looked where gearbox and engine meet i couldnt find it, i suspect i have air in the system, also would be cool if someone gave me a good tip for bleeding air out of the system
u dimu it’s inside the gearbox on the twins part And Jts versions.
@@ItaliaAutos does gearbox need to be romoved or can i bleed it from the engine bay, how dificult is it?
@@udimu6663 you can bleed it from the engine bay. box need to be removed to replace slave.
@@ItaliaAutos thanks a lot for reply and for help i just need to ask you one more thing, how do i get to that bleeder niple, and how to remove air from the slave cylinder
I did a slave cylinder on my 164 24 Valve...easy job I used a Gunsons Eezibleed on mine to bleed the air..its a bit naff but does the job....but please don't mention concentric slave cylinders on VW group cars. Mine failed on my Octavia 4x4 and its a gearbox out and new clutch job.....just because of a leaky slave cylinder. Grrrrr. I miss my Alfas !
All new Alfa are internal too.
@@ItaliaAutos I'm not surprised . I havn't been under an Alfa bonnet for nine years.
Do you use the witech diagnostic software, I’m thinking of buying it off eBay but not sure if it will be the real deal.
Italian Automotive Enthusiast nope never used it.
Italia Autos fair enough
Try AlfaOBD. Was called AlfaDiag. Available in android too.
I thought the slave cylinder was inside the gearbox housing, and under the pedal their are two
No on v6 and diesels.
Hi Italia Autos. Thank you so so much for this info and demo. Will this be the same on a 2005 1.9JTD 16 v engine ?
Cheers Guys...
Paul...
