- What's going on guys? This is VinylicPuma, finally back with a new Borderlands 2 Countdown video and since the Commander Lilith DLC got released, I figured It might be a good idea to go ahead and revisit what I think are the Best Rocket Launchers in this game. In this video, I'll be giving you my opinions on what I think the Top 10 Best Rocket Launchers are and the rankings will be based on Power, Rarity and how useful/practical a given rocket Launcher is!

I almost NEVER used rockets in the game, but with commander liliths level boost I've been experimenting with other characters. Love using them with axton
I use them for second winds

As a side note, the Hive is the unique that spawns with the Boosted Salvador Character Creation. You could potentially through the stash transfer over the Hive, Lady Fist, Heart Breaker, Scorpio, Lascaux, and Trespasser (I think) simply by starting boosted characters and using the Stash.

Norfleet can become even more deadly when mixing the ability of the grog nozzel. 3x6 etech rockets. 18 rockets that have huge AoE and huge damage, hell what could stand up to that is probably only raid bosses
Just started ultimatums vault hunter, killed knuckle dragger and got the hornet, first try both normal and ultimate mode😂

I'm actually a fan of the Tunguska. It's a very silly weapon but paired with the Grog Nozzle and some Anarchy stacks it can be fun providing you don't accidentally blow yourself to bits. The reload time bothers me most about it really. I have never got a Norfleet to drop so the Topneaa is my go-to elemental rocket launcher when I need to get stuff done.

J. Frank Norfleet a man who fought back against the con artists who swindled him. That explains why the launcher refunds ammo!
"In 1919, J. Frank Norfleet, a 50-something Texas rancher, lost his wealth to a band of professional con men. Rather than swallow his losses or wait for the police to investigate, Norfleet decided to travel the United States wherever necessary to track down his swindlers and exact some sort of non-physical retribution." -from google books description of "The Mark Inside" He later tracked them down and had them arrested. After that he went to Denver and helped take down a group of con artists that included the Mayor (Blonger), and the DA. He wrote a book about all of this. I never read it but its summarized in Amy Reading's first book, "The Mark Inside" definitely worth a read. Good on 2K for being aware of some very niche history.
Hive took me forever to get from Saturn but it's best with the gunzerker because you dual wield the grognozzle and the badaboom use grognozzle effect gunzerker double grenade and shoot
The Nukem can also be bought from the Torgue Machine

Personally, the bunny can be pretty fun if your outside. And here's a tip: the hive shreds through bunker
Honestly, the Hive is incredibly useful for bloodbath because you get hella stacks. Corrosive DoT, lots of hits, etc. Plus, you can get it from Uranus in the Lilith DLC, who is much easier than Saturn, given actual crit spots and enemies in the arena.
Another thing about the E-Tech launchers it's that the chest in the Writhing Deep always spawns either a purple or E-Tech launcher.
Don't forget you can just straight up buy a Norfleet from the Borderlands Site if you've signed up for the VIP stuff

@@yinyangmemory While you may be lucky to get a norfleet out of the spin, you can also buy it straight from the BL2 store for 4,000 points. You can also buy a few other BL2 and TPS legendaries, all for 4,000 each

How is the Tunguska rarer? I got so many Pearls from farming midgets and Uranus, the Tunguska is a generation 1 Pearl, while the Norfleet only drops from Vermi and Hyperious.
Though I guess you can buy one from the VIP insiders.
#6 forgot to mention that Tediore rocket launcher doesn't consume ammo in the "magazine" when reloading. Yeah, pretty OP on Javelineer Krieg
also if you pair the creamer in the right hand of sal and the pimpernel in the left you can destroy literally anything in the game while healing at the same time.

Smashing like for the bunny
Norfleet is not perfect without the sham, only issue with it is ammo 11 shots with out an asorbtion to get ammo back, but it is the strongest rocket launcher regardless.

I use it without a Sham, and it's still amazing, there are so many ammo vending machines scattered every where so ammo isn't a big problem IMO.

@@officialneanut yes, but taking in account the facts that the topneaa:
1.)has a higher fire rate
2.) Has a higher mag size
3.) Shoots one ammo per shot
4.) Has a chance not to consume ammo
5.) Has a faster reload speed
All these overall means the topneaa has a higher D.P.S. overall. You could argue that it wastes ammo. But that could just be negated by the sham. And while the Norfleet, I agree, is better for 2nd winds. It also has a higher chance of downing you a 2nd time. Therefore, the Norfleet is outclassed by the topneaa.

The Badaboom is my favorite, I remember way back when the game first came out, I got the Badaboom the first time I fought King Mong
This, the Badaboom is easily one of the best rocket launchers in the game, not necessarily due to its damage output, but because it makes grenade-jumps super easy with a low level Badaboom, or 2 if you're Salvador. You can go SOOOOOOO far, and SOOOOOOO high.
He topnia is great on Salvador due to his inconceveable skill wich increases his chances of not consuming ammo

My fave launchers esp farming big boys is hive,baddaboom, n etech
The Nukem is basically the Redemption and the Leviathan combined (which were both made by Torgue in BL1). When it comes to non-red-text Torgue launchers, I think they're at their best with Maliwan barrels (like the Ahab and the Creamer) for faster and more accurate rockets. A Torgue launcher with all Maliwan parts results in a very fine product.
12:51 In BL1, I prefer the Mongol over the Redemption. It's just more interesting.
Fun Fact: As a Tediore Representative...
The Bunny becomes oddly powerful with a Tediore Allegiance Relic...and with Axton. Even at OP10.

The chest from the top of the haderax arena is good for most etech and legendary launchers. Including the topneaa, launcher, prasma cannon etc.

Just a little tip, if you want a Norfleet or other weapons you can now go to the Borderlands.com website and sign up to be a free member. Watch a few videos, view a few pages and you can easily earn the 4000 pts for a Norfleet at any lvl, yeah even lvl 1, lol.

I've never had a Norfleet,but a Badaboom or PBFG/Topnea work pretty well for me.
I was playing with randoms once and a Zer0 dropped it, it wasn't even a dupe, he dropped then we kept playing. He also dropped a legendary class mod for my Maya, I have a feeling he liked the way I supported him (I was healing him to full HP by using RPGs all the time while he was playing melee Zer0), I don't think a lot of Mayas focus on healing too much, just using Res once someone dies.
I kind of with that there were better artillery type launchers. I got a couple of etech bandit launchers that when fired straight in the air it just made it rain orbs but unfortunately the blast radius and damage stunk. feel like it would be a fun way to clear out some areas as well as a decent strat for boss's
Good video Puma! I'd like to point out that you can join the Borderlands VIP program (for free!) get free points and you can get a Norfleet and other weapons that way as well. I got a level 80 fire one myself!!! I can't do Vermi and have trouble with Hyperious so it was great for me!

like for Mongol. the absolute only rocket launcher I use in 2, and in TPS, and in 3. just freaking drown your enemies in rockets, simple as that. also its ability to melt everything with maelstrom stacks is just wonderful.

The duuurp rocket launcher is way better than the ahab for pimpernel pairing for me, the slow projectile speed means more orbs hit the enemies. Just make sure you don't get one with the fidle dee prefix, and they can easily be found in torgue machines which is nice and much more sustainable than the ahab
Bee + Mongol slag / switch to Mongol Corrosive (longest DoT duration) -- Salvador Mix Hive in = Major set it and forget it damage
I got the PBFG from a random red chest at the Badass Crater, since its not on the list, is it good? I thought it was a poor's man Norfleeth, its working wonders for me
I prefer topneaas over norfleet actually because it isn't nearly as likely to kill you.

I have a question... The hive can optain with the creation of a salvador level 30?
Topneaa is best in my opinion just cause it had less reloads than the norfleet plus it's way easier to get.

If you have a borderlands vip account and 4,000 points you can get the Norfleet in the reward section without fighting any boss. I don’t know how long it will be there though. I’m guessing when season 2 starts in July it will be changed for a new set of legendary weapons. I’m trying to get back to lvl 80 to get one. I’ll worry about farming an OP level on when I get there.
Rewards will be available and after season 1 so no need to hurry.

Not sure if people will help me but I'm trying to level up by fighting the big snowman in one of the dlc's and I'm not getting anywhere because the level of the snowman is lower than mine. I can't find a video explaining this problem so I'm not sure if there is way to level the snowman up higher so I can get more xp
If you play on Normal mode, the snowman will be at the level you entered the DLC. So if I'm level 17 and I go to the Mercenary Day DLC, Mister Tinder will be at level 17.

when doing these lists you can actually make it so items like norfleet that everyone knows will be number1 will simply be categorized as "god level" and is not fair to compare it to others That way your number ones can have some variety
