- What happens when someone discovers the Internet for the first time? For Abby Stein it was life-transforming. We first met Stein during the summer of 2015 for our Showtime series Dark Net. She told us how she had abandoned the very insular Hasidic community after the Internet had exposed her to the wider world. Now, a few months later, Stein is going through another transition. She's coming out as a transgender woman named Abby - and she says it wouldn’t have happened without the Internet.

Sometimes I feel so grateful that I grew up at a time where Internet was not so popular. I used to be more of a tomboyish kid, and used to view myself as a boy. Then puberty happened and I started to appreciate my true identity, which is a woman. Had I been growing up in today's time, things would have been so different. I would have been brainwashed by people around me and went on to abuse my true identity. All it takes is a bit of self-reflection, self-love, and self-awareness to accept one's true self.
One thing that deeply bothers me is, having humans with male genitals entering women's restroom. Like I might as well use men's restroom if the majority of biologically female population do not find that obscene. Our society is moving towards a very precarious direction. I have no problem if there is a third kind of restroom created for the gender minorities of our society.
if traditional genders don't "exist " how do you identify as one or the other if we created traditional gender roles why do you "identify " with one of them and want to act like one of them , traditional gender roles are real and keep things stable Wether you want to identify as one or the other is fine but don't say there's no such thing as female and male genders etc we generate female and male energy with out gender which is why we act the way we do.

Walking the gender line is so painful and yet rewarding. As a intersex/transgender person my life has been hell at times but I've never been able to view myself as being defective in an way. Thank you for showing the world we are not.

Transgendered people do not have to undergo surgery; however, if they ask for permission, are granted permission (practically everybody is granted permission who asks), and they start the legal ball rolling with birth certificates being changed, etc., then the person is expected to undergo the surgery.
Shim Hun the Iranians instituted that to "eradicate" homosexuality by telling lesbians and gay men that they were "born in the wrong body". As Internet access is massively restricted in Iran and homosexuality is illegal, many lesbians and gays (with no gender dysphoria) knew no better and had "reassignment" surgery and it ruined their lives. I believe you are very brave to come out and follow your feelings, better to come out than to live your life unhappy and that would only hurt the ones you love even more...if that life would have been a lie....I believe you did the right thing...even when often it's hard...I hope some day your parrents will forgive you and are willing to meet you again, as a person you are still the same, only happier i hope....i do hope you will be able to see your son as well...but understand that this is a private matter and not a public one ;)

This person appears to be a transvestite. He shaves including body hair and then puts on female attire and heavy makeup. His routine is similar to that of the contestants on RuPaul's drag race.
Drag makes fun of gender as a concept and embraces ambiguity. Trans people are people who to not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth. The difference is that for drag queens/kings the gender bending is temporary and theatric whereas for transgender folks they live everyday life as the same gender, just not the one assigned at birth. (The same way that I was assigned woman and I carry out day to day life as a woman)

Nobody knows unless you can ask those people directly. People these day assume what one might've said, but in the end nobody knows. When and if she faces God, that is between God and her. Also, we face God every day according to most religious scriptures(not only Judaism), and if you believe God is everywhere and in everyone, her being and the life she embodies is essentially holy and a reflection of God. Nobody knows her struggle, what kind of human she is and what qualities she will be judged on, if there is such a thing as judgement day.
