Pearl should have her own show called, "Pearls of Wisdom." She is so down to earth and calm and rational and kind. More Pearl, please!
Such a good idea. I am not Jewish and I've learned so much from her
Such a great idea!! To me, she’s the Oprah Winfrey of Hasidic Housewives!!
I'm not a Jew but I am drawn to her. She is an incredibly beautiful soul. I feel unconditional love for her. I'm so grateful to Frieda for having such a beautiful respectful wise friend like beloved Pearl. I'm learning so much from Pearl, I am in awe of her gentle non judgemental explanations of certain touchy topics.
Haha, I suggested that very thing a few months ago, when Pearl appeared the first time!
I completely agree. She's a very wise woman.
I wish one of you had mentioned adoption while discussing infertility. As a Jewish woman who was unable to have children, adoption solved our issue of childlessness. Hashem wants us to raise children. Adoption is an equally good alternative.
Amen!
Wow thats a big subject excellent question but if I am correct a man can divorce a woman if she can not give him children..it could be his problem....From what I know depends if the child is Jewish (mother Jewish) but if not the child has to convert/brought up Jewish....be good to find out more...
Thanks for sharing this. I wonder what kind of assisted reproduction is acceptable and what options are not.
I really appreciated that IVF/Reproductive fertility assistance was discussed. I am on the fence in support of it, although I am glad it is a choice for women/men who seek alternatives. I wonder if it really is safe long term and it does feel a little dystopian (embryo harvesting, etc.) but I can understand for certain individuals it may feel like a miracle option. I am exploring foster/adoption.
You just answered the question I was about to type.
Several years ago thru a business connection, my husband and I attended a Satmar wedding. I entered the exclusively women’s room knowing not a soul. The graciousness and warmth of the ladies who took me under their wing, seated me at their table and included me in their conversation and the entire event was incredibly wonderful, their kindness was just overwhelming. A most beautiful and moving experience.
I am crazy about this woman. I am addicted to listening to her. I can't get over her clarity. I also love how you interview her so well. Thank you so much.
Same!!
I am a committed Christian and thus do not share Pearl's religious beliefs but what a beautiful woman; if more people would share her values and common sense, what a great world this would be. I bet everyone who watches this would love to have Pearl as a friend, she is just great!
@kevinkelly8037 - absolutely. I am Catholic and I’ve thought that very same thing. There’s just something about her….
I am a Christian and I Love this woman. 💛 Pearl is steadfast in her faith in God.
I love how Pearl says she doesn’t have a religion, but a way of life based on Torah. That is a very convicting statement to me as a Christian.
“They can’t tell me what to feel”
Such a powerful statement from Pearl. I don’t agree with everything she says or believes in, but I aspire to be so certain in my identity as she is.
Certainty comes from Torah knowledge. You too could have this type of certainty.
To be clear, I also do not agree with every single thing the Rebbitzin says, but no 1 agrees with anyone on everything. Your respect for the Rebbitzin differing from you in areas is truly something great. I like the way you stated your comment. I am trying to offer you a way of fulfilling your desire for certainty of identity. I hope my intention of replying with a positive, practical method comes through. Your desire is a good 1 and I hope that you attain it
Please tell Pearl how much respect & love we have for her! And, she could be a weekly guest & I’d never tire of listening to her!
As an Irish Christian lady who was raised in a Catholic home I thoroughly enjoy these videos! And I always take away at least one if not more Pearls of wisdom! May you always be blessed by God!🙏🏻🕊! Px
I’ve learned a lot about being a good Catholic from Pearl.
I too am Catholic and may not agree with Pearl on a lot but I admire her ability to express her Views and she's so charismatic She's an ideal guest
I am also a cradle catholic and I have Jewish origins in Sefarad (Spain) which always made me drawn to Judaism. Listening to Pearl makes me see the common grounds of our religions and the same God we believe in
I struggled with primary and secondary infertility. I prayed a lot about it, but still it didnt happen. I remember sitting in church and seeing a large family across the aisle. i felt bitter, bitter with God, even. I remember i stood up to go to communion thinking i shouldnt feel that way going up to God, but it hurt so much. It was like at that moment, someone touched me and said "how do you know I am not grieving with you?" It was pretty amazing.
So the bit about God being apart of the fertility assistance really touched me. I agree, whole heartedly.
Also I ended up with 3 sons and I am grateful every day!
That’s Amazing.
I’m sorry for your pain. I’m glad G-d blessed you with children. My wife & I are moving that direction.
@@Noname-wi8xpp😮 6:09 😮
IVF is not holy and has nothing to do with God but the medical industrial complex. Don’t twist things to suit your worldly desires.
@@Noname-wi8xp Our faith is tested in oh, so many ways and as differently as people are different. God gives some women this test like Hannah in the Old Testament, or Anna, Mary’s mother in the New Testament. You obviously passed this test that God entrusted to you because you have three sons. God gives some women the test of breast cancer, other women get a test of whether or not to leave a physically abusive husband when there are children involved. The key is to surrender our wills to the will of the Heavenly Father who loves us. I Peter 4:12-19 states, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you…” but to rejoice in that we are partaking of Christ’s suffering. Each of us, I suppose get tried to our limits of what we feel like we can endure.
@@tamararutland-mills9530 I’m guessing you responded to me and meant it for the original commenter.
I’m Jewish, and don’t have kids yet but I hope it brings comfort to the original commenter.
Have a great day.
Love these videos. I'm a Christian but I share so many of her ideas. I really love and admire the Jewish ability to be thankful every moment of the day. She is a Pearl of great price.
I am a committed born again Christian and absolutely love Pearl and her values. Thank you for the work you’ve done to create such beautiful interviews.
My son also was drawn to heavy metal lifestyle and I too pray daily for his return to the Lord.
Frieda: We talk at least once a week, right?
Pearl: Hopefully two 😄...awwww...you two! It's my favorite part! Also I laughed so much at you big knackers! Lastly, your editing is gorgeous and very helpful. For quite some time I didn't know what Pearl exactly had in mind when she referred to Torah. Its much more clear now. As always a delightful interview beautifully done and an amazing opportunity for all of us! Thank you!
I’d love a pearl to speak to once twice a week
This moment of pure Jewish grandmother guilt. I felt like I should call my gran after… it was as if she placed the words in Pearls mouth😂
Thank you so much for this conversation. I admire how you gently asked provocative questions and how open and clear Pearl was about her beliefs. In an age of uncertainty there's something reassuring about an elder having such firm convictions, even if her views on the role of women are uncomfortable for me to sit with. There's mutual respect and trust between you and it makes it such a pleasure to watch the conversation unfold. I look forward to part 2.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful comment.
I'm grateful to Pearl for answering questions publicly. Clearly, her faith is strong and unlikely to waver. I see the next episode is set to premiere on Monday, and I'm very excited to hear more, especially after Pearl's comment about reading every book about the Holocaust. Thank you again, Frieda, for such a well composed and edited interview!
I’m Jewish, but my husband is Hindu & we got married in court in India. I was presented with a Hindu “ketubah”… it is also a marriage contract & it also has the responsibilities of the husband only. So, I just wanted to throw in there that there are such things in other cultures. ♥️
Interesting and what responsibilities are listed there?
@@n.batshevay.7009 He must provide for her, care for her needs, I especially like where it says, “Provide for her all the comforts” 🥰
Very insightful Conversation, but I'm 47 and didn't want children and didn't have them. I'm fulfilled fully ❤
I would LOVE more Pearl! She has such a depth and breadth of wisdom to share with the world. A beautiful woman to look up to ❤
Oh I enjoyed that so much. Pearl is adorable and so wise. For someone who says she isn’t educated, she has a phenomenal vocabulary and depth of knowledge on religion and society. Great video. Thank you both!
The more Peal explains things, the more I love her!!!! ThankYou!!!!!!!
Frida, your conversations with Pearl are so enlightening and enjoyable. How awesome to be welcomed in and for us to meet this amazing woman! Thank you! I am finding my way back to my roots in Judaism after growing up secular and basically having all sense of it scrubbed from my life. So these insights that are freely shared, frank honest answers that are given, and this peek into the mysterious and special people who I am a part of is the best!
Greetings from Ireland. Pearl is content and happy in her beliefs and shares her wisdom with everyone who wishes to listen. My Catholic faith in God teaches me similiarly to what Pearl is saying now about her beliefs. God bless you all.
I’m a Brazilian atheistic journalist and it’s very interesting to know more about such a different way to live. Brazil has few jews and almost none orthodox. Things Pearl say sound from other world for me. We fell sorry for each other, for sure!
I love how she is unapologetic. Why must we make other societies to feel like they should have to be like us? Look how our society has fallen apart and we think we are happy. What about the children and how they have suffered in our “modern” society.
I love this wounderfull woman, she says she's not educated but she reads and has so much knowledge. I love the fact she believes in brining children up to be good human beings, theyvare respectful. Pearl nreminds me of my Auntie Florence, who was so wise a Doctor but had children, the love and respect I have for women like Pearl is strong. Hassidisim does move with the times and Pearl explains this.
I simply cannot get enough of you and Pearl Freida. So lovely of Pearl to let us all in and share her world and with you enabling this Frieda, thank you
It’s so nice to listen to someone who knows the value of life, of womanhood, of the vital role mothers play in the good of society. Shalom Pearl. You are a blessing to this world.
Women who do only what the men dictate are not real whole women. The society is not healthy without empowered women shaping the society.
I can hardly wait!!!
I was so excited to see another Pearl video.
Pearl is so popular because her basic values and her love for her family transcendent all the major religions. And, boy!, did I have to change my prejudice about ultra-orthodox Hasidic women! I always thought they were cloistered in their homes, never to be seen or heard of, never speaking their mind, and being virtually alienated from the rest of the world. Pearl certainly is totally "with it", she's taking no prosoners, speaks her mind, and is secure and self-possessed in her convictions. She totally is a "woman of the world", both traditional and modern at the same time! Frieda, you chose a wonderful spokeswoman for the Hasidic community.
Thanks, so much, Frieda & Pearl for a wonderful Q&A. I look forward to all your future get togethers.
Thanks to you and Pearl for another fascinating insight into her world.
Thanks so much for uploading this video wishing you a wonderful night
Our very favorite collab, we're ready!
I'm so excited, I adore, Pearl! She's like a sage, I glean so much wisdom from her.
Great job Frieda!! And Pearl is wonderful!!
Thank you for sharing this. The respect and kindness you share are truly beautiful.
Wonderful to hear you both in conversation. Happy Tu B'Av!
Pearl is back!! Never clicked on a video so fast!
Thank you both! This is a fascinating and very educational journey. I am so very grateful to be able to view it and learn! ❤
Oh I love Pearl! Frida, both of you make a good team. I'm fascinated and can't wait to watch the rest. Thank you!
I can’t get enough of Pearl. Such wisdom, emuna & pure joy.
Yes and Amen, Pearl!
I could listen to this for many hours. Thank you.
I truly love seeing your friendship... what an interesting conversation. Thanks to both of you!
Thank you SO MUCH! I find myself in tears listening to Pearl. You are a wonderful interviewer ☺️
Thank you Frieda for these great Q and A with Pearl. It's been a wonderful eye opening to the Hasidic world through her eyes. Wishing you and Pearl all the best. 😀
Love these interviews, she has enlightened my perspective and helped me with my own spirituality
She is so great! Thank you both for this lovely video.
Frieda - Love your channel ✅ Thank you for bringing Pearl back she’s a wise woman. 😊
Aww, I'm glad to hear Pearl share such wisdom. She actually answered a question I was asking the Lord in prayer. Please share more Mrs. Pearl!
I loved this video! Everytime I listen to Pearl, she says something that really helps me with my own faith. I really love your videos, they are always so interesting.
I love Pearl. Thank you for bringing her back and thank you Pearl for coming back. I agree she should have her own channel.
More then the vast wisdom of Pearl, I love seeing your love for another, immense respect and kindness you show in every conversation. What a gain for both of you!
Oh I love that you get to spend time with Pearl and share it with us. More Pearl Please!!! Can you plan a Channuka special episode for later this year with Pearl?please? 😊😊😊 ooohhhh I just love her ❤❤❤
Just love this video as well. Thank you and to Pearl for sharing these insights.
I watch your videos with Pearl with such pleasure. She has such peace, and you together are strong women with so much to learn from!
Pearl is so lovely and eloquent. I truly enjoy listening to her, it’s like getting a big hug.
You are both great in helping to understand. Many thanks!
I love Pearl. She explained gratitude so well.
Love the idea of Pearls of Wisdom!
As her name implies, Pearl is a gem. She explains with such calm conviction her world, an outlook and way of life that is antithetical to mine. I could listen to her for hours. More Pearl, please!
Many thanks to you and Pearl. I find that I am learning a lot.
I love your interviews with Pearl! Raised as Roman Catholic, I find all this truly interesting and fascinating. Keep it up! Can’t wait for the 2nd part.
I love listening to Pearl speak about her life and her beliefs. ❤
I love your interview with Pearl. What a lovely woman. You can tell she speaks from her heart. Love everything you post!
I love your videos with pearl her insight and wisdom are very appreciated as a mystic of a different background! Know she is spreading knowledge and compassion by showing people women of all age and backgrounds can be vivacious and full of life!
Thanks for all the good content. I especially love the Pearl videos. I could listen to her for hours.
I am SO excited to see this video at last! It's fascinating hearing Pearl speak of the Torah in this way. The indigenous Maori of New Zealand (where I'm from) have a similar concept called 'Tikanga' which literally means custom. It isn't religious per say, but lays out the ceremonial roles and responsibilities for women and men. Men are not allowed to perform the karanga (call) to welcome visitors, for example, because this is a women's role. As Pearl puts it so well, there is no 'envy' between groups. Obviously, this clashes with modern feminism and the idea that all roles should be open to all genders. Personally, I find this super interesting to explore because no belief system or ideology is above critique.
These moments we get to spend with Pearl are my very favorite. I wonder if she knows how much she is filling up our spiritual buckets? Her joy is absolutely contagious. Thank you for continuing to share Pearl with us.❤Blessings and love to you both.
delightful and informative.....thank you
Thank you, Frieda. I always enjoy Pearl's wisdom.
This woman is a gem for sure. I tell my kids everyday Mother's Day and Father's Day isn't one day of the year, its everyday and I am not of the same religion as Pearl.
Thank you for not only this follow up with Pearl, but your videos more broadly that highlight some of the values of this important community. I do not pretend to understand the nuances of Hasidism, but my understanding of our country's invaluabble diversity is enriched by it. Good Shabbes.
Thank you and gut shabbes!
I love Pearl & her Pearls of wisdom. ❤
I caught one of the episodes, and then proceeded to listen to all of your interviews with Pearl. Wonderful
You two brilliant gals model something so beautiful here in human communication / interaction. A counselor used a lazy 8 resting on it's side once with me if you can picture that. She drew the lines of the crazy 8 pattern over and over again. And commented on the flow -- She brought it up once during a discussion about communication --- the way our interactions should be. The roots found in mutuality. A gentle weaving back and forth of turn taking, careful listening, reaching for clarification, respect, and responding. I just loved this interview. Thank you
Wonderful interview with Pearl. Thank you for bringing it to us. I’m fascinated by Hasidism and Judaism and really appreciate your channel. Thanks and keep up the good work!!❤
Thank you so very much. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to bring Pearl to my channel; it's been such a joy!
Pearl is realy a jewel. She is so confident and joyful/ great full for every second of her life. She has a valid point! More Pearl wisdom please!!
So much like and admire Pearl!
Thank you Frieda. You handled this Q&A so gentle and so beautifully in such a respectful manner. Some of it is very hard to understand in today’s world especially for me who is torn between a lot of these issues on a personal level. I Love so much what you do ❤
That is so kind.
The world loves you Pearl. ❤ I my heart and in my nashema I have adopted you as my hasidish Bubbeh. Warm greetings from Canada
It is soothing to listen to Pearl! Thank you Frieda for this conversation!
Love Pearl and these chats!
I’m looking forward to watching Pearl telling it the way it is 😂 I grew up in Williamsburg, Bklyn, too My great great grandfather was a rabbi in Spain and his boys moved to NY. Yes, they wore pious Can’t wait to hear interesting questions I’m in 😂😂 Saludos from New Tampa,Florida ❤ Pearl is so right! Train the mind to thank Hashem ❤
Courageous questions and direct, unapologetic and heart-centered answers. Personally I have a very different belief system regarding my relationship to Source, but I appreciate and respect Pearl's devotion to her culture. Pearl is a joy to listen to!
Lotta wisdom in there. Thank you Pearl.
Thank you Pearl for your Wisdom.
Pearl reminds me of how my 88 year old nana describes her mother. Nana was raised orthodox but has been secular her entire adult life. Her mum (my great-grandmother, who died when I was a baby) was orthodox her whole life, but by all descriptions was a very intelligent and learned woman who had plenty of interests in the secular and even non-Jewish world as well.
I love your interviews with Pearl and am so happy you have become friends and stay in contact.
Lovely to be happy with our roles and be a good team. I love Pearl's answer... If the Torah says it's ok, what more do you need 💖 you help me appreciate life more Pearl, thank you for your beautiful wisdom and faithfulness to HaShem, shalom.
Everyone needs a Pearl in her life! Even though I am personally Catholic, I greatly enjoy her wisdom and wish I had a "Pearl" to talk to!
Absolutely. Same here… She reminds me of my Auntie from Rhode Island.
The history, the wisdom, the language- I'm so grateful to learn so much on your channel and from Ms Pearl. Thank you so much, Frieda! Your channel is such a gift.
You two babes are so amazing! I love listening in on your coffee dates. It’s medicine and nourishment for my soul. Both of you are such treasures. This is my soul level Reeces Pieces pairing. ❤️❤️✊🏼
Wonderful video as always. Thanks.
Thank you soooooo much Frieda! I’ve been dreaming of hearing more from Pearl.
Please send Pearl my best from Cleveland, Ohio. I am inspired by her. She has a huge fan club.
Thank you so much for doing this and Thank you to Pearl for sharing...............
You are both amazing women. Very interesting. As a devout Christian, I so appreciate Pearl’s love and gratitude of God.
What an amazing interview 😊 Pearl is full of wisdom!! Please have her back on your channel!! Greetings from Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦
Another wonderful interview. You keep getting better at your interviews Frieda! It is really a privilege watching your growth as an interviewer! I can’t wait to see what’s next
