Great video Jason! Can you do an intermediate and high end budget next?
We go up to about $850 here. See our Best Builds April and/or March as those have higher price points and are still valid. Though you may want to wait a month to see what AMD & NVIDIA announce at the beginning of January before settling on a build at $1000 or more.
The budget mobo's you called out are the very ones I have been using in my build-to-sell projects in last 6 months. They are awesome and flawless. Highly recommend.

Great video! you summed up the pc building market in one video. I'm still amazed how far we have come in two years. A killer 1440p gamer for $650. Now that is cheap. Especially the price of monitors.
🙂 yup, i didnt know that many gaming monitors have come down a bit in price, because of that I went to Microcenter this weekend and picked up a second monitor for my rig, yay
Yes!
Would you say that getting the cheapest 750w gold psu and chepest asrock b650m mobo is good for getting a 4070ti super and 7800x3d or downgrading the cpu and upgrading the psu and mobo. Ty for always answering!
Just built my pc over this past weekend thanks to your videos, recommended by my brother who really appreciated them too!!! Thank you so much Jason! 🎉🎉🙌
Congrats on the build!!! :)
Hey... Is it really alright to go for the MAG A550BN when you upgrade the gpu for the $650 build?
Needed this
So glad its helpful!
Jason!! I finally got around to buying a Bit Fenix Nova Mesh for one of my builds and I'm blown away by the value and quality of this thing. My ONLY gripe is that the front panel connectors aren't consolidated. 9.9/10 Would definitely buy again though!
Thanks for sharing!
CC560 case was also $59. Tasteful fan lighting. Nothing I don't need other than that. I'm loving tempered glass sides on these cheap cases as well. I have cats with claws that ruined some of the old cases with some type of acrylic viewing window.
What's the difference between an ARGB header and a ARGB LEd header? Could I plug a fan ARGB header into the ARGB LEd header? They are both 3 pin 5v just curious if that's an ok thing to do

Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120, unbeatable performane for the price
@@FERKILL377 agree, cheap and performance is insane. I heard they have a new 360 AIO LCD cooler name Thermalright Frozen Warfare ARGB. You should check it out, the specs is very good

I know it's a bit pricier than these options, but for 'good value' PC cases I love the Lancool 216. Three good quality PWM fans and plenty of space and a modular design, love it!
He is recommending micro atx boards mainly, that case is really good but better for higher budget builds.
I also love that case but it is pricey for these budget levels. At $1000 and up, I'd definitely consider it.
@@PCBuilderChannel Quite fair! I should look more into mATX cases :)
🙂 sure, i have a couple of Lian Li's , right now my goto is the Lian Li 011 EVO because its one of the few cases in the world that you can flip upside down and put the case next to your left hand, why is nobody else doing that? make it make sense? i cant have it on the right hand side 😠
A really great b450 mobo is the asus b450m ii A for around 50€
Ty bro yo just made my first gaming PC 😭, so excited 😁
That's amazing, congratulations on your first build! If you build it, it will run. :D
What case would you recommend for a mini Tower?I need it to be close in sizes to the Aerocool Atomic Mini Tower mATX black. I'm stuck in mATX at the moment.
🙂 sure bro, amazon started selling a new super cute little fish tank case, its called 'Okinos Aqua 3, Micro ATX Case' and three argb 120mm case fans are included with the case, it has a tiny argb controller mounted in the back of the case and the control panel has a button for the argb, so you dont need an argb motherboard to control the colors. I just bought the case and its pretty decent. They have it in black and theres a white version: $60 / $65
@@MrSamadolfo indeed it does look nice! However it’s not available in Europe yet. And if I were to buy it from the US I’d pay almost the case’s price in shipping :/

Never stop watching these video Jason, always enjoyable, even though I don't need an upgrade.
I have a question (even though I am in Australia) at what price point do you recommend moving from AM4 to even base AM5 (7600), I feel like it's about the $1000usd but I I could be wrong
Yes around 1000 USD is right
You're spot on, 1k seems to be the sweet spot. In March for our Best Builds video we compared a 5600 build and a 7600 build if that's helpful to you
I'll go back and watch it. Always helpful as I am the i.t for so many around me @@PCBuilderChannel
In the builds I made there was always one or two parts secondhand new. So unopened. I think with am4 the "used" marked offers great options for just slightly better products wich otherwise do not fit the budget. Ssd's for example!
Yes if you feel comfortable going used that is a potential savings as well.
I know you mostly cover gaming builds, but would love to see suggestions on a production build at different price points to see how it differs. I likely will be putting 1k, give or take, into a production focused PC soon and would love the advice. Thanks!
Here's a build for you.
It's list / rDr3Jy in PC Part Picker
So the good news is the rules for good production pcs are basically the same as gaming with a little more emphasis on getting a more powerful CPU. See our Best GPU/CPU Combo 2024 video and pay attention to the CPUs we recommend per combo for production
Hi Jason! Lovely builds as always :3 the 500$ one especially is a knockout for such a low price point, not sure if youve covered it on another video but would you recommend making the stretch to a 900$ or even 1k$ build to get up to AM5 with a 7600? I know the 5600X is already a great deal, but maybe moving to the "current" platform would make the system last longer?
So Jason has says around $1000 is the starting price point for AM5 to make sense.
If it helps, here's a build for you.
It's list / VCR7jH in PC Part Picker
You know what we actually just launched a video today that has a sample AM5 build at $900! Its our new Boost My Build episode so check that out and compare it with the builds here to see what's best for you
I love asrock. My mobo and gpu are asrock and I have no complaints! They fit the budget and get the job done exceptionally well
Great budget brand! Same with Gigabyte. MSI had a lot of offerings previously but seems they have stopped making a couple of their best value budget B550s and B660 boards.
@@PCBuilderChannel I’ve heard MSI and Gigabyte have been fairly unreliable recently, so that’s why I went asrock for my budget build, but they also have some reaaaaaally competitive pricing
Same here, I got the ASRock Z690 PG Velocita when it was on sale for less than $200 and I have their phantom gaming a770 16gb. Both have been very reliable and especially with the Mobo, priced really well with tons of features.
Definitely recommending them to others.
Hi Jason! Firstly, thank you for the great video, I have learnt lots from you hehe.
I currently have a 9400f + 1060 6gb pc, and am thinking of bringing my 550W psu, ssd and hdd from my old build to my new build. Would you recommend that I get the A750 + 13400f, considering that the games I play are mostly turn based rpgs like persona 5, strategy like civ vi, and perhaps genshin impact? I'm actually still satisfied with my current build (~5 yrs) but I wanted to downsize it from an ATX to ITX, so I might as well change up some parts haha!
Thank you! The 13400F is just a down-clocked 12600KF, and you can get that for $150-ish right now and get better performance for less. No idea why they charge so much for the 13400F to be honest. I recommend going DDR4 as there really isn't much benefit to DDR5 and the boards are more expensive. The ASRock B660M is actually quite a good board for the 12600K. The PSU is the one component that ages the fastest, and I typically recommend just buying a new one (GPUs and CPUs by comparison can be good for decades). Hope that helps!
@@PCBuilderChannelthis is the most detailed reply that I have read on this channel.
@@PCBuilderChannel Thanks Jason! In my country, the 12600KF is of similar pricing to 13400F haha, and the 12400F is close to $80 less than the 13400F. Perhaps 12400F would be the better choice for myself?
As Im going ITX, I can't really find a ddr4 board here anymore unfortunately ):
what tier is your power supply, go look it up on the PSU TIER LIST
Great video! I was just curious if the $500/$750 PC builds would be just as good for streaming?
For streaming I’d go $750, and it’s going to depend on the games you want to play, resolution, and the settings you want to use
Great video, Jason and team. I'm wondering if I should swap out my 2x8GB DDR4 kit for 2x16. Now that I can game at 1440p, I'm noticing that my system RAM usage sometimes bounces around 15GB when FSR and Fluid Motion are enabled.
It's a $55 upgrade if you don't resell the 2x8 so I'd say yes, I do think your system is just using all the ram it can though and it's not an issue
Certainly could if you want. Could also add in an identical kit to your existing one and go 4x8GB.
@@PCBuilderChannel that could cause more headaches, getting identical sets might be impossible because of manufacturing changes and even if it is possible your imc might run the 4 slower and for $55 bucks I'd avoid those headaches or just do nothing
🙂 theres a few games out there that go over 16GB of system ram but that also is because maybe your video card vram is too small and the computer is allocating the system ram as video ram. Pickup a video card with 24GB of Vram and maybe then you will notice that the system ram is way below 16gb of system ram. Don't forget to clean install Windows and disable any Startup Apps that your not using cause too many things get added to that list that you really dont need.
Nice just in time
Like any good Wizard, I arrive precisely when I mean to! :)
Would you say that the 850 Pc is future proof and if not what would you do to make it?
@PCBuilderChannel
Hi Jason,
I know your channel is primarily gaming focused, but I'm hoping you can still help me.
I am about to build a new rig soon and video creation will be primary focus with gaming as secondary.
I learned from "Tech Notice" videos that Intel CPUs have an iGPU and that it's really good for video editing.
I also learned that Nvidia 4000 series cards are good because they have AV1.
My question is: if I plan to get a 4060 or 4060ti and the plan is to use AV1 in DaVinci Resolve, do I still need Intel's iGPU? Because I think the iGPU only helps with H264 and H265 right? If I don't plan on using H265, then the intel iGPU will be useless, and then I dont have to get 14600k or 14700k, and I can just go Ryzen 7800X3D. It's so efficient and cool-running!
Is this correct? Or is Intel iGPU still important even if I plan to use Nvidia and AV1 in DaVinci Resolve?
Thanks!
So for DaVinci Jason actually says AMD GPUs are better.
As for the CPU you'd still want to go Intel if that's your primary use.
What's your budget for this PC? Once I know I can try and help you pick out the parts.
For the CPU what you are thinking about is the Intel Quicksync which is on the Intel CPUs without the "F". However it doesn't make a ton of difference over AMD options and shouldn't be the only deciding factor. AMD 7000 series GPUs also have AV1 encoding and are better optimized for DaVinci. If you have the budget for it and this is a professional level video editing PC then yes I would go 14700K and I would pair it with 7900XTX. I definitely don't recommend 4060 or 4060ti no matter what, terrible price to performance GPU options. If you have the budget for 7800X3D you'll want to go 7900GRE, 7900XT, or 7900XTX with it.
Jason, thank you for this video in particular. I am upgrading my PC from an AMD Bulldozer (yes, I said Bulldozer) to an AMD 5 5600X, I just scored an XFX RX6700 brand new from Best Buy for $269. I know it's has 10 GB VRAM but it's what I could afford right now. I am using some of the recommendations for the mid-range build. It's been a while since I had to upgrade and I have been out of the loop, but your videos really helped me quickly get up to speed. Thank you again Jason.
Why? Get a 6750XT $300 from newegg before it sells out.
🙂 thats fine, the only reason to get the 6700 is because its the biggest video card you can run with only a single 8pin power supply plug, it uses less electricity which is a good thing. As for the bulldozer rig if you have a decent ATX motherboard and its still working and its rock solid reliable then I suggest upgrading the cpu to an 8core FX 8300 or better, install 16GB of ram and a video card and turn it into a lower tier Gaming PC, and then either keeping it as a backup computer or you can sell it or you can donate it
That's a good combo! So glad we could help
So the RX 6800 XT 16GB will work for really good 14.4 gaming with a Ryzen 5600X CPU ? No bottleneck, right ??? - - I will get this GPU for only 295$ second hand today, then build the rest of the PC around it.... My PSU is a Chieftec Proton BDF-1000C ... is this enough to power this card ???? MB = Rog Stryx B450 F gaming II is that OK for this graphics card ?
The ASRock b450 mobo doesn't support 2 nvme drives. One of the m.2 only supports SATA.

If you went with the Ryzen 5 5600x build with a RX6700 XT and a ASRock B550M Pro4 mobo but needed wifi connection, do you have any recommendations as to a wireless network adapter (have 1 gb internet)? Or potentially a mobo with onboard wifi?
You can switch the Motherboard to either the MSI VDH, MSI VC, or go ATX and get the Gigabyte UD AC.
All three are cheaper B550 options with WI-FI.
Hop over to our Best Ryzen Motherboard 2024 video!
Hey Jason, I'm just curious as to what the Price in the US is for the: Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 Motherboard? And could you possibly do a 'Review' on this Motherboard in the Future, so I'll know I made the Right Choice for my PC & for my friend Jeff's New Build!
🙂 it looks decent, make sure ur updating the bios regularly, set your fan curves, set the ram speed, back off the cpu settings if your cpu is getting hot and going over 70
Amazing video❤ Planning to go with the i3 12100f but worried if it won't have enough cores and threads for future games😢
Yes we are starting to see games that have a bottleneck on the 12100f and the 12400 is on sale right now so I'd consider doing that if you're worried about the types of games you play with it
@@PCBuilderChannel Unfortunately in my country only the R5 5500 and I3 12100F is within my budget.
Do you think the R5 5500 is better for future releases since it has more cores and threads even though its a bit slower compared to the i3
@@user-yd8mn4zm6cboth perform similarly so just go with whichever CPU and Motherboard combo are cheapest.
HELLO, LIKE YOUR VIDEOS .WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST COMPLETE BUILD FOR OFFICE USE.?THANK YOU
Are you only doing office work like word processing and web browsing?
For just office work the $500 build here is good
I just got my CPU Cooler for my build 2 days ago. I got the Noctua NH-D15. That leaves 4 components left before I can put my PC together. 5 if you count the case fans. As I’m putting Noctua case fans in my case. I still have the CPU, GPU, motherboard, and the PSU. I’m going with the Ryzen 5 7600x and RX 6600. They’re going to be used as backups when I can get a Ryzen 7 7800x3D and Sapphire Tech Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX. As right now I don’t have a PC at all.
So I’m getting the best components I can that don’t require any money saving at all. And have an upgrade path straight to top of the line. As I already have 32GB DDR5 6000MHz G.Skill Trident Z RGB RAM. So anything but the Ryzen 5 7600 or 7600x is out of the question. As anything but those don’t have an upgrade path past the Ryzen 5000 series. Which means any recs for any 5000 series or older will be ignored. Intel recs will be ignored as well. As I recently heard that something wonky is going on right now with Intel CPU’s that making them unstable. Besides, AMD is the better choice for gaming anyhow. Especially once I can upgrade to the Ryzen 7 7800x3D and RX 7900 XTX.
Check out our Ryzen 7600 build guide for more help. Could consider one of these builds BTW on AM4 to upsize that GPU as well. Good luck!
I’ve binge watched all your videos! I want to build my first PC and I’m struggling to the pull the trigger because I’m currently on a budget for 1080p to low 1440p gaming but in a few months I can afford more. Prices are great at the moment. Should I wait or should I go for it?
If you can afford a higher spec PC by waiting a few more months and if you don't need one now I would because you'll probably be happier if you do.
Thank you!
I'd factor in your time as well, it has value too. And there are parts like RAM and Storage that are going up so I'd consider at least grabbing those now if you know what you plan to build.
@@PCBuilderChannel thank you so much Jason! Keep up the great work!
Your build is basically what I recommend for the $500-750 range lol. Good to know my practice is solid enough.
Build twins!
I hate it when my guy Jason goes 'it's cheap.' Lol. Love this guy videos my AMD build is thanks to his vid combo.
Your Hair Looks GOOD!
Yep
Hey Jason. It’s almost time to upgrade for me. My system has 11900k, Asus Tuf RTX 3080ti, Asus tuff z690 plus wifi, Aresgame 1000w PSU, trident 32g of 4000 ddr4.
Would the best bang for my 500-700 upgrade budget be to upgrade my CPU +Mobo or to go with a 4090? I’m willing to bet that the 3080ti with 11th gen is not the bottle neck. I think the bottle neck is the CPU, what are your thoughts? Can I squeak out more performance from my 3080ti with a new CPU or should I save up for a 4080 super?
I play games like Deep Rock Glactic and Cyberpunk. I play on an LG oled TV so rez is 4K @60. I do use ray tracing.
Please tell me what you think would be my best path for upgrade?
Your build is too new and already upper tier. I would wait for next year because both amd and intel are coming out with new chips and intel coming out with a whole new LGA Motherboard platform. Avoid the 4090 it is highly unreliable with tons of cracked circuit boards and the gpu chips are being torn off and the 12v plug is catching fire. As far as your aresgame 1000watt power supply you need to replace it immediately, the PSU TIER LIST has blacklisted that manufacturer, go pickup something from the Tier C list ASAP
@@MrSamadolfo the Corsair RM 1000e is 140 from Newegg. Would you recommend this PSU? Why is the Asesgaming on the blacklist? Questionable parts? Seems to be working fine but I am not one to wait until it fails. Thank you for letting me know. I had an exploding gigabyte before this one. Seems my choice for PSUs are not so good.
@@douglasturman635 I checked tomshardware, they opened up an aresgame, the layout of the circuit board is an outdated design, maybe like from i7-4790 Haswell Era, it uses some of the old school bulky chinese capacitors brown black instead of the modern smaller silver capacitors from japan. And when they load tested it its not 80 Gold but 80 White or Bronze. If its working fine then keep it around for emergency backup use only and for testing a used motherboard to see if it boots up. Yes the corsair RMe 1000w is the cheapest tier A psu and in the box it should have the invdia cable for the new RTX 40 cards. There three other psu that are slightly more money from Tier A and they all seem to have the invidia cable included in the box: Montech Titan Gold, NZXT C Gold 1200W, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1200W, thers a few more on the Tier A but rite now they are double the price. Prices fluctuate so you might want to check all the online stores but right now as of today the cheapest listing is the Corsair RM1000e and its a very recent offering from only last year 2023, don't forget to pickup some colored AsiaHorse psu cable extensions, i like white or red or blue =)
I really appreciate your instructional videos. I'm currently building a new system that will utilize my Hisense 75U8K. B650 Tomahawk, 7800X3D. I will not spend the money for the 4090. At the same time, do you have a video that explains all the different feature sets (RT, DLSS, etc.)? I'm building this system since my daughter talked me into BG3. Thanks for your time and help.
I don't blame you for not wanting to spend the money on the 4090.
The 7900XTX would be a great pair with the 7800X3D. So would the 4080 Super but it's a little more vs the XTX.
That Big 4K TV officially supports AMD Freesync so logic would dictate a 16GB or better Radeon video card so that you can take advantage of Freesync. Thats a pretty big TV, is this gaming rig going to be setup in the living room or something? Don't use the smart function of the tv, use your pc and boot up the Brave Browser to watch videos. Depending on how this TV and PC is situated in the living room I highly recommend picking up a portable small table and a wireless gaming keyboard and a wireless gaming mouse and a wireless xbox controller. Bring up the table up to the TV screen to play certain video games because some pc games were never meant to be played from a couch that is too far back and the text is way too small to read. Also with the table close up to the TV you can get some productivity work done using the browser or office stuff or do some online shopping. Now if you have the TV mounted really high up then I suggest purchasing a small Standing Table and a Tall Height Drafting Chair like you see at some businesses or a Tall Height Kitchen Counter Chair. Have a good weekend and happy cinco de mayo =)

Amazing video, I would like to know your recommended and cheapest 1440p 240hz monitor
The MSI G274QPX is a good one.
The cheapest is the Gigabyte GS27Q X. It's a new monitor though so it only has 1 review but it was a good one.
So glad you enjoyed! Check out our Best Gaming Monitor 2024 video for more options
Hi Jason. There are two ways to plan your PC build: what you are willing to pay and what you desire to play. I chose the latter because it guides me in selecting the components I'll need to play a game in the desired detail. The game maker will suggest what you need to have. They usually break the requirements into three choices: good, better, or best. My suggestion is different from what you show in this video.
Each build is different for me. I normally start with one component, and build around it. I rarely pick the best the best price to performance afterwards, mainly going with the best price.
@@zeroturn7091 Thanks for your reply. I always enjoy reading them. When I'm asked buy someone, who wants to get into PCs and gaming, what components they should buy, I always tell them the MB is the most important, even though it might cost more.
Honestly I been trying to get back in your videos recently so I can build and sell PCs. I want people to get on the world of PC than Xbox and PS4 since they have cost so much and have so much power but yet it's not being used to the max. While pc is just more than gaming and it can get you into a ton of things, school work, finding jobs, art and much more. Gonna sell local but one of the things I need to learn is buying windows since I don't understand how much that works. But thanks for getting me this far.
Glad we can help!
so what do you mean by cpu not needing to bottle neck it dose it need to match the gpu or be less and whats the wiggle room
Go check out his CPU GPU Combo Video from earlier this year. He talks about it more there.

Hi jason i really like your videos and your voice is very nice to hear
I have one doubt ,is amd 7 7700 good for both gaming and productivity
Yes great CPU, however very close in price to the 7800X3D which is what I'd pick up for another $60. Or drop down to the Ryzen 7600 for $189 right now and spend more on the GPU.
Ok thanks
stick with 3Dees and Hammer Down 👊😏
US market. 6800 is 360 USD at Newegg!
What cpu do you recommend that I upgrade to for 1440p, currently have a r5 3600 and a rx6800, but I don't feel like I am getting great performance after upgrading my gpu from a 2060 6gb? budget is ~$200 and I already have a ID cooling air cooler?
If you can go a little higher the 5700X3D at $230 would be a great choice, but if you can't the 5600 is also good.

@@wang0220 not really. The 5700X3D is your best choice.
I’m completely new to building pcs and everything that goes along with it, so this kind of video is extremely helpful!!!
Would the $550 computer be able to run World of Warcraft Dragonflight at at least 100 fps?
If you mean the first build I would go 6600 on the GPU instead. Here's the build with that GPU.
It's list / JL8pvj in PC Part Picker
🙂 that video game is actually harder to run then I first thought? Im thinking something like an RX 6700 XT 12GB at minimum, plan b 7700 XT 12 GB or better, or u can pickup a 12GB invidia card but thats going to be a bit more money, its up to you

Jason says to put your build into PC Part Picker and times the watts by 1.5.
🙂 no bro, the watts between the i3 and i5 isn't much of a difference, especially for video games its only going to be a few more watts, plus the 6700XT is pretty low on watts as well while gaming your looking at 150 watts for the video card and the i3 or i5 is something like 50 to 60 watts while gaming, total 210 watts while gaming plus or minus, therefore ur technically fine with a good 500 watt power supply, preferably tier C or better from the psu tier list.
Probably not but hop over to our Best PSU 2024 video and follow the method there to to check
im wondering if i should wait for ryzen 9000 or just buy a ryzen 5 7500f now because i need a processor upgrade from dat 3930k... served me well for years but its showing its limits
I would say 7500F because I doubt a Ryzen 9000 CPU will be as cheap as a 7500F.
That 3930K is ready for retirement. Grab the 7500F and upgrade at some point in the future!
If you can get a 7500f for under 180-ish usd I'd say go that route and build the rest with putting a 9800x3d in which might, probably release Q1 2025

Your CPU is already strong so no reason to go 7800X3D.
As for the GPU that's up to you. The 4070 you have is good if you wanted to wait but the 4080 Super would provide a good upgrade if you want to do it now.

I search for a system gaming combo for this monitor support
1440p is ok?
Suitable GPU?
No because that isn't a 1440p Monitor.
Also your Monitor isn't great for Gaming because it's only 75hz. You'd want to upgrade when you're able to.
Thats an odd resolution, is your monitor this one: "ASUS ProArt Display PA248QV 24.1" FHD / WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 75Hz Wide Screen Monitor" if not give me the exact model number so I can research it, assuming you have an Asus ProArt Monitor the the maximum resolution is 1920 by 1200 so your performance is very similar to a regular 1920 by 1080p, if your monitor officially supports AMD Freesync then I suggest picking up an AMD Video Card so that you can use freesync, pick one of the popular 1080p amd video cards such as an RX 6600 or better card, if you want to do 1440p then you will need to pickup a new monitor that supports 2560 X 1440 and if you get a new 1440P Monitor then you will need a bigger video card such as the 6700 XT or 6800 or better or 7800 XT 16gb or Better
Considering ryzen 7600, MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi and G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5 for 6700 XT. I know it's overkill but looking to upgrade gpu by the end of year (4070 ti super). Thoughts?
That's not overkill and those part choices look good to me.

Hello, I consider to play my PC by streaming it to my steam deck when I'm outside from my home. Do I need to have GPU streaming like codec?
🙂 in the steam settings theres options for amd video codec and invidia video codec, but you might still have lag and stutter in the video games because it also depends how your PC is connected to your Home Internet, I imagine it has to be connected by CAT5 Cable to the Router, plus the other device if its connected by wireless then you might have lag and stutter because of the slow wifi, but you can try
@@MrSamadolfo it is wired by CAT6 and our subscription is 300mbps.. just few other devices phones and they are not watching YT or Netflix every hour..
ok. i'll try this. seems I need GPU with codec then..
thanks man
@@Venlorz 🙂 the latest amd and invidia and intel arc cards have the AV1 encoder, and last years videos cards uses the more traditional H264, the steam settings will have that on the list of encoders to choose from depending on what video card you have plugged in, for wireless what some people do is purchase a separate special wifi router and it has several wifi antennas and it says for gaming, it supposedly prioritizes the signal of the game over the other stuff, theres tons of reviewers on other channels that specialize in reviewing those boxes
@@Venlorz start out with a light indie video game and set the resolution encoding to something really low: 720p at 30 FPS and see how it streams and if theres any lag or stutter
Hey Jason
I have a rx6700xt
Should I get a 1080p 240hz monitor
Or 1440p 144/165hz monitor
I won't be playing hard to run games,so don't worry about not reaching 240hz
🙂 i like 32inch 1440p monitors, some are flat and some are curved, depends what you like and the hertz refresh rate i dont really care about but just go with whats popular from the manufacturers, i just checked Microcenter and 165 hertz seems to be the sweet spot, obviously make sure the montior officially supports AMD Freesync and that it has both HDMI and Displayport on the back, for extras if it has speakers and an audio jack that would be nice, also make sure the monitor buttons or joystick is placed somewhere that you will be ok with, every manufacturer does it different
That's up to personal taste! I would go 1440p myself but you can't go wrong either way
