January Shuffle (The Painful Process of Putting Your Studio Back Together in 2024)

Its January. You've had a big year recording, mixing and mastering your latest album. But somewhere along the line things have gone haywire. You may have unplugged a synth or drum machine. You may have brought one of your computers into your bedroom to mix in comfort. Your cables are all over the place, a tangled mess of spaghetti and everything is unplugged or plugged into your interface incorrectly. Not to mention NOTHING will match up to your inputs in your DAW once you plug everything back in. This is a real stress. One that can put a person off of ever entering their home studio again. This is certainly how it feels this week. The daunting task of going in and sorting things out, getting rid of rubbish, re-evaluating your workspace. This is the start of my journey to get my studio back up and running smoothly in 2024. What challenges do you face this year with your studio? What shuffling will you have to do to get things together?
