  • Why are some businesses agile and some not? Are they architecturally different? In this video, I share some thoughts on one important architectural concept that is critical for business agility.

    quick query - in agile, if we outsource one module to external party, wont that affect our customer's experience

    • @RajRamesh
      @RajRamesh  Před 5 lety +1

      It seems like "outsourcing" a module in your context has multiple meanings.
      Think of it these possibilities: a module can still be part of the application itself, or it could be called from another system that's also inside your company, or it can be called from an external system (such as either a partner vendor, or the cloud).
      Who develops the module is (almost) irrelevant to the customer experience. It's the invocation and integration of the modules into the business process that matters. If you expect real-time experience for the customer, then you'd have to make sure that such an experience can be delivered even though modules are outside your organization. For example, when you go to a website like expedia.com to pull up flight information from airlines, the system might reach out to many companies, get the information, and then present it to you in real time.
      Also, Agile simply a development methodology. That too does not affect customer experience, other than that it provides a mechanism to deploy something quickly and keep adapting to change. A good approach to use obviously.

      I have a long list of videos to create, and will add this to my list. Don't know when I'd be able to get to it though.
