Villeneuve's wheel was completely torn off by the end of his lap, that and he was driving round the bumpy Zandvoort in the 70's with a ground effect car lands him a place in my heart, Kimi is great too obviously but doesn't match Gilles in my eyes.
Wasn't Kimi practically racing on 3 wheels at Nurburgring 2005 before the suspension gave up on last lap..? .. The wheel was on(the car)but that's about it, wasn't much of an use at that point.
Not exactly. Raikkonen's car was suffering from the damage caused by the blown tyre, was running in 11th when, he lost control of his car at the final corner and went off, crashing into the tyre barriers. It was basically a mechanical issue. Kimi in 2002 was a lot more committed (and probably unlucky) than Alonso was in 2018 too. It evokes the spirit of Gilles. Alonso would purposely retire his McLaren in contrast. Gilles wouldn't do that.
Michael wasn’t doing racing speeds after the suspension broke so that’s the reason (although that Ferrari was a freaking tank considering it only lost the wheel at that incident,it could’ve been much worse)
Kimi also did this on Bahrain Qualifying 2006 and in COTA in 2015 too.
Ferrari moment at the end makes this perfect. 🙃
Kimi Goatonen
What about Alonso in Baku 2018? Just as impressive if you ask me. Hamilton 2020 as well
Hamilton Silverstone 2020 was epic too

And you showed Rubens Barrichelo problem with the fuel ring
Alonso baku 2018 ?
He finished that race in p7 and Raikonnen retired anyway during the 2002 German grand prix after spinning off later

Don't forget tho
The SC car out after both RBs crashed which definitely helped Alonso scoring pts in the end. Before he was 12th or something
@@GM_FtblAit’s still an impressive drive despite having that shit of McLaren and big damages on his floor
You not including Michael 3 wheel driving?
Tbf, Michael lost one of his front wheel, so it kinda understandable
Michael lost a wheel completely it was different.
Alonso drove on two wheels. How the turntables lol@@ciaronsmith4995
