18year old talent enters her first adult competition..show just to make it interesting the competitors are the judges.
Shes last on in the first round everyone else has turned in their performances probably feeling comfortable.
Then Diana comes out and delivers this as her opening salvo💥💥🤩🔥🤩😎 and blows the proverbial doors off with a mini fantasy Aria.🤣
You can see it on their faces ...Ohhhh hell ...shes sunk our boats.....😂

This was her second best performance in this Russian TV series that just ended. "Ворона" (Crow) is peak Diana. A Shamanistic folk pop kinda thing. Dark and mysterious. You will adore it.
Enjoyed your take on her....the background is as extraordinary as the performer. At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment.
Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on CZcams. Two months ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of CZcams 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers.
Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. Diana Ankudinova sings mostly in Russian, English and French. She has also sung in other languages including Spanish, German and Arabic. The original is one of Elvis Presley’s beautiful, light, love songs. We listened to it gladly, some of us live. We listen to her even now. Slightly less than when this version of Diana appeared. The original in major was transferred to the minor version and gave the song a new life. It became a new, Diana song. At least that's how I feel. It can’t be compared to any cover today. I recently listened to Angelina Jordan, a great singer from Norway, but it’s an Elvis song performed in Angelina’s voice. Nice, but not Elvis. This, Diana's version is something completely different. There is almost no point of contact with the Elvis version. It’s a sad song that comes from the depths of the soul, to explode at the very end. Unrepeatable. Emotionally. Unforgettable. And no more Elvis. It's Diana's song now. It was set to music, of course, by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore and George David Weiss, but whoever sang (Bocelli, Bob Dylan or UB40) followed in Elvis' footsteps. Except for Diana. She breathed new life into her. (I'm learning Russian, sorry for the mistakes).
It may feel sad initially but in my view it is about growing love which start deep inside, then goes outside shining and ends up supernova blast tsunami... powerful love that has no borders
Hearing Diana's powerful ending I have no doubt you are correct. Thank you from my heart for showing me the true interpretation of her magnificent work on this song. Sh wants us to feel what she feels. Elvis would love this version and he would love Diana.

Hi enjoyed your reaction, but I have to slightly disagree with you Diana is not an alto she is a Extremely rare contralto which is the lowest form of the female voice. And she has the ability to just singing with polyphonic overtones. Which does not make her one in 1 million or billion but I want it only.
