Work on leaning your bike in the turns, it's how the big side knobs get grip on the tire. Lean your bike, not your body. You want your body upright and balanced. Watch some videos on CZcams, it's a game changer when you practice and finally get it

Nice bro I’m happy with my remedy I’m 5’6 and I like that I can jump and corner good with that bike feels like a bmx its harder for me to do that with a 29er because of my height .

If you ever feel like 27s aren't enough and start to wonder if you should have gone 29 go watch "Sound of Pure Mountain Bike Mayhem | Brage Vestavik". I rewatch that several times a week to hype up to go ride and dream about what I wish I could do, but that guy is superhuman I don't know how that giant can look more at home on 27s than most people do on 29s 🤣

Bikes are getting too slack these days. Everyone squawks about head tube angle and seat tube angle but there is a point of diminishing returns with that. Yes it’s more stable going downhill but going to slack and it ends up being to be a real chore to go uphill and handing at low speed is terrible and only compounded with technical stuff. If you are running large enduro or DH bike and taking rides to the top of the mountain then sure get the longest slackest bike you can get. But if you want an actual useable bike that you can actually use like a bike you don’t need the latest and greatest geo numbers to get that. Even on GMBN they recently discussed this very same issue briefly and hinted at bikes beginning to getting too slack.

The only problem with spider mountain is how overpriced the lift tickets are. It’s just not worth it unless you’re a local who can get the year pass for $400. Otherwise it’s $60 every time you visit for a 600 foot descent. The project was literally funded by the locals yet it’s like they’re trying to recoup an investment they never made. Sorry for being negative. I just can’t help but feel angry at how they took advantage of everyone’s generosity only to slap us with overpriced ticket options.

Very true the bike parks here in Colorado are slammed always. We have such a variety in Colorado I never bike park unless I race a DH or Enduro. those trails look cool but I agree 600 feet of elevation and the cost of 60 bucks a day. Well good luck to those who are charging that. I guess it’s a one time trip like Disneyland as I see it. Other question do you have to use the lift to ride those trails? Keep up the good work Mr. active maybe we’ll see you on a front Range trail sometime.

@@MattyActive The geometry on that frame is really dated. I know you may think that things like this do not matter much but they really do. If you get a chance, try a bike with seat angles between 77 and 80 degrees. Since Trek is a huge company, they tend to be years behind the new advances in the sport. Getting a bike that was designed 4-5 years ago and at its interdiction was already dated just makes matters worse. The Remedy would have been up to date in 2018. If you get a chance, get on the internet and read up on frame geometry of modern mtb's.

@@mustclime5311 I’ve honestly never been interested in looking at numbers or geometry on a bike and couldn’t even tell you any numbers about my remedy if you asked. I just get on a bike and if it feels good to me for my riding style I ride it and have fun.
