I used to own a blue 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass, and it's still my favorite car to this day! Classic cars are a blast. Right now, I'm saving up for a Lamborghini.😊
Believe it was only the nascars that could do 200 but the road cars could only do 180ish

IIRC, the NASCAR prepped Daytonas were good go over 200 mph on track and were the first non land speed race cars to go 200 plus mph on a closed course. I also seem to remember that one of their drivers (drove the purple and white Dow Chemical car) saying that when they were testing the race cars at one of Chrysler’s proving grounds, not only were outrunning their own tires, they would run 240mph if the drivers has the balls to go that fast. Seem to remember that he said most of them lacking there too…..
The road legal one m not sure, because it isn’t actually the first production road at to hit 200, it may be able but idk, the F40 was the forst
@@ASHBOT-su8hr Correct, not the road car, but the race car, those were the first non land speed race cars to reach 200 on a closed course, even before Indy and GP/F1 cars!

That car is really cool and even though it can do 200 it's actually an American muscle car that dodge modified to be able to achieve 200 mph. I do a lot of research on cars but that is a very cool car either way and it's pretty awesome that you managed to actually find one of those cars

Have to say, what a amazing addition to the collection. I love old classic muscle cars and have a best of the best list and that is number 2 on my list. My number one is a 71 hemi cuda convertible. Really think you should get a 69 GTO judge or a copo camero
Great to see you with a Wing car. Love old Mopars and that could arguably be the worlds first Supercar. I'd pick on you because it's not at least a 4 speed and then not a Hemi, but I can't afford one and they're great anyways! Congrats on that one!

Yes, the wing is that high so the trunk can open. That's the reason it got so big as they wanted it mounted to the rear quarters and have a smaller trunk opening.

I love classic muscle cars. My dad and I built a 1972 Chevelle Malibu and changed it over to a super sport from canary yellow to intense blue, we put in a 350 small block with a Holley 650 double pumper with a high-rise intake and crager ss mags and fresh black leather interior… even had a working original cassette deck. Was a badass car till he had to sell it at auction 😞

my favorite car in the collection was the Nova but now its this. Exotics are cool but classic cars are so much cooler because they had awesome designs that you don't see anymore.

8:20 Hemi was 426 ci, they had a 383, and a 440 in those days. i am guessing the car is a 383, and they also had a 6 pack on the 383. I don't know what these particular cars came with only the engines in those years. Good luck with the car

Steve can't lie, the first thing that went through my mind was to put Dinoco livery on it. To make it look like "The King". I also thought of Fast and Furious 6 where Dom (Vin Diesel) drop the car with Garnet Red paint and Chrome finish on the Grill and back. :)
