    Holy Schnikes!!! This is EXACTLY the tip I was hoping to find on CZcams. I use those 10ml bottles with the needle tips for building scale aircraft and they are perfect from putting a drop of superglue exactly where it is needed. Trouble was even after capping it, the tip fouled and I was stuck trying to clear it with wire but this is SO MUCH EASIER!! Thanks again for posting!

      Glad it was helpful! Just a quick note. The new bottles that we have been buying are made out of a different kind of plastic that caused the glue to set up in the bottle! They’re super cheap so we just buy like 30 or 40 of them at a time. And then just don’t put very much glue in there because there’s a short shelf life. About a week? We keep kicker in the same bottles. Really works well

    I pretty much have done the same thing of storing them in the freezer in a Mason jar .
    I'm using cyano glues that are 20 years old .
    Yes I said 20 years .
    Let me clarify .
    I put the cyano bottles in a Mason jar with the lid to the jar snug not over tighten this will allow for the exchange of air and slowly low the temperature cyano doesn't freeze in the freezer and can be used when back to room temperature .

      We have run into a problem with the newer bottles. There’s something in the plastic that’s reacting with the glue. So it will actually set up in the bottle after a couple of days. We are still using this but it doesn’t work nearly as well. I wish we could find some of those original bottles. They’re all made in China, and they all look alike.

    This trick works on Gorilla glue: Store the bottle upside down. When you want to use some glue, turn the bottle right side up, unscrew the top. Instead of squeezing the glue out of the container top, stick into the glue a probe: toothpick, a long piece of wire, a zip tie, anything long enough to get out the glue you need. Pull the probe with glue on the tip out carefully, and don't get glue on the rim of the bottle. Distribute the glue. I wipe off the probe each time so that the glue has not chance to harden on the probe or the rim of the glue bottle. When job is done, wipe off the probe and the bottle rim completely, screw the top back on, and store upside down. My bottles last and last.

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  Před rokem +1

      Super!!! I’ve done similar. Put a small amount in a small disposable dish or cup. Very small. Apply with a fine wire. Throw out the unused. And the upside down bottle makes a great seal.

  • @iwontreplybacklol7481
    @iwontreplybacklol7481 Před rokem +3

    The problems with the metal tip is this. For thin, it is way too large of a diameter firstly. And the main problem is, You can not tell how the glue is traveling down the metal syringe so it is impossible to be precise and accurate and results in using way too much than needed and it goes everywhere. It doesnt suck back into the bottle well again leading to even more waste and unnecessary weight (as a rc flyer modeler myself) With clear thin applicator tips, you can see the ca moving down the tube and apply it very precisely and retract the ca quickly after precise application. When done, simply turn the bottle upright and squeeze it to blow air in and out of the tip and it will clear the ca. If the tip does get clogged after time, simple to clean it out with uncure debonder.

I just happened across this video because now my superglue nozzle is clogging up. I don't know why I didn't think to use the two spare bottles I have for the superglue. :D

      Find them in bags of 20 off of Amazon. You do have to be careful because some of the bottles have something in their plastic which will cause super glue to harden. Sometimes they work great sometimes the glue hardens in there after a few days. When we recorded this, the plastic bottles were a different formula I guess. We’re just using regular superglue’s but now they dry in the bottle after three or four days. But as the little bottles are cheap, we just put a very small amount in and then throw them away. Still a great idea.

    Use one of those 10 mL for the Zip Kicker that spray bottle is Nothing but a waist of time and kicker .
    The metal tube works better for a more accurate placement of the kicker and NO over spray to go where you don't want it .
    When you do , don't make contact with the glue .
    Just a drop of kicker will chane react with the rest of the glue .

    Don't want to be critical but that is not safe. One slip or mistake and that bottle might explode all over you. Instead, keep a couple of empty bottles/lids around, replace the lid with a fresh one, then take the plugged lid and put it on an empty, clean bottle and only then burn off the stuck super glue.

      @@johnnypenso9574 I don't worry about it. There is no oxidizer in the bottle. The flame won't travel back through the tube into the bottle. The lack of a proper vapor/oxygen mixture won't support combustion. Will only burn at the tip, where it's getting oxygen. Cartridges fired in a gun have an oxidizer in the powder. Electric components are often sitting in liquid gasoline in the tank.
      Other than that, I did get my own supply of these bottles today. Works well.

      @@rickgregory9616 hum… should work if you squeeze the bottle while heating. We have, however, run into one problem since we put the video up. Some of the bottles on the market, not all react with the glue and will cause it to harden in about three days. Also, we make sure to buy the bottles that have the tip cover, so you can close up when you’re done. That really helps extend the life of the glue.
