I Love and appreciate when you Take Mom on a trip ❤️ I'm a 76 year old fan and you cracked me up when you looked into The camera after you told Mom to go to settings and airplane mode 😂 Thanks For the sweet laugh.☺️ Your a good Son ❤️
Adam, love seeing your Mom with you! Really enjoyed your flight video. Beautiful sunset and beautiful from above! Looking forward to your next vlog. YOU ROCK!!!!
Yes. Your mom and family video. I love these. I hope ya'll have a wonderful time and make many memories. Cherish these times with your family especially your mom, dad, sister, and Ryan. Miss seeing your dad. I hope he is doing okay.❤
I’m surprised no one mentioned the Amana Colonies. Back in the 80’s and 90’s whenever I traveled to Cedar Rapids I would eat in Amana. It was the highlight meal of my trip, and I never left hungry. Only about 20 miles from Cedar Rapids.
Amana's have somewhat dried up since then. They haven't brought in any major attractions since the late 90's. 1988 they hosted The World Ag Expo, and 1997 they hosted PGI. Honestly couldn't tell you a single thing that's come thru since, and there isn't a fraction of the tourists there used to be.
Cooling breaks is just residual heat from the previous landing and sitting on the tarmac in Florida sun. Add the taxi usage and breaks can approach 300 degrees Celsius. There is little air-flow in the undercarriage area so best to air your breaks out and get rid of some of the heat. Ceramic breaks hold their heat well.
Wow.. cuttin it close! lol.. I always book flights with at least an hour and 1/2 layover for these moments lol..I was stressed for you guys. Glad you made it safe and love these travel videos.
Aw, I spent a lovely, relaxing week once in West Liberty. I think all I brought back from my time there was a piece of the Berlin wall from the Herbert Hoover Museum 🙃
Have a safe flight/trip to Cedar Rapids Iowa Adam, no matter where you go, you always make it entertaining for us “Woo Nation” followers or….whatever you call us, we’ll be there.
Excited to see you visiting some places in Iowa, very few CZcamsrs doing that! Florida snowbirds from Independence Iowa, we’ve been watching you for years!
Adam hope you and your mom have a great time out there and I look forward to whatever you have up your sleeve for this trip and I do know this is whatever you film I will enjoy it because I love ❤️ all your content that’s why I’ve been here since the beginning also if I know you I will probably learn a bunch on this trip again you guys have fun, now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and your mom and I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure wherever it takes you peace ☮️ out ✌️
I actually like Charlotte airport . safe travels Adam an momma Woo. I always enjoy seeing your Mom , also love that color blue ,thats on her shirt.looking good Adam ❤
Love the travel vids, thank you. Regarding what happens if you forget to put your phone in airplane mode, I found this on Reddit: “Pilot here, on modern airliners there is a infinitesimally small chance that your phone constantly searching for (and potentially receiving) a signal screws with the very sensitive instruments in the cockpit. But considering how much shielding they have and how little power your phone draws, it’s basically never gonna happen. Knowing the FAA there was probably either a non-fatal incident where a pilot lost his instruments due to cell phone interference or there was an avionics manufacturer that reported their tech being sensitive to cell phones back in the 80s or 90s and so they made the rule and no one has bothered to repeal it even though technology has significantly improved.”
Hey Adam, just so you know, at the beginning of the video you were wondering what the picture on that sign was with the GPS in the phone in the camera you were wondering what the picture was on the right side of that sign, apparently you don’t know what it is, but that is a picture of a radar detector.
May I suggest you go to Tokyo Disneyland. I would love to see you review it. Being in my opinion that is the best Disney Park Ever and doesn't listen to idiots who want to destroy it. The Rides are also amazing and the Animatronics seem to be well maintained unlike Disney World. Love also to hear what you think about the Rides in general. Including them keeping "Splash Mountain". Which again as a kid is one of my favorite rides and I never really watched the movie and could have cared less. I enjoyed the music and the characters for what they were.
Msco just did the same thing to me with my driver's license in December. They said it didn't look like me old picture and also I'm from Arizona and our drivers licenses don't expire for about 25yrs, no matter when you get them thru expire when you turn 65yo so they almost didn't let me in the plane! I was terrified 😭
If you go near Carroll and Oskaloosa, check out the Mahaska County courthouse in Oskaloosa and St. Mary Catholic Church in Willey. My uncle used to be the pastor there when I was a little boy. Pretty little roadside church. Unfortunately it’s not regularly used any more. Also I suggest going to Hy-Vee for breakfast.
I got excited... I was born in Cedar Falls, and spent every summer there visiting grandma... I was hoping to see it again.... but, Cedar Rapids is beautiful too... only City aside from Paris, France and Osaka, Japan to have the government offices on an Island. The haunted Brucemore Mansion is glorious.... spent a lot of Sundays there, on picnics with my Aunt and Uncle.
Interesting how the pilot had to let you know they kept the gear extended after the departure to cool the brakes. Phones "can" affect navigation, but not really. It was a Mythbusters. If you're doing a 'precision departure' or SID Standard Instrument Departure through a crowded airspace like MCO to JAX, losing navigation can be a problem, but highly unlikely. Charlotte is always backed up and a 35 Minute layover just ain't enough. I'm still 17 in my driver's license photo but I'm pre-approved! You need to go see the actual Cedar Rapids. Field of Dreams again. This close (3 hrs) I'd do a 2-day back to Hannibal, the Becky Thatcher Haunted House, the Lighthouse Hill and the new levies. Have fun with family whatever you do like Brucemore, National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library or the 5th Avenue Bridge?
The worst is you rrunning late to make a connection and the pilot has to wait for the gate to be cleared. Sometimes its takes time to move the plane at the gate and your watch says you have 10 minutes and you have to wait for the door of the plane to open and stand in line waiting for the passengers to get their bags in the over head. Nothing you can do but hope.
Love the flight videos - you do them very well. Mom is looking fantastic!! Always love to see her in your videos- she has a great sense of humor. Travel safe and have lots of fun- enjoy some cooler weather- afraid there's not much more of that for a while here in Florida.
While you are here in Iowa go down to Ottumwa and eat at the world famous Canteen in the Alley and try a canteen. They have annual canteen eating contests. Also go to nearby Eldon and visit the famous American Gothic House a famous painting by Grant Wood. They have a museum there also.

Lost mine when I was 35.
I just recently lost both my parents. I will never be the same, I'm heartbroken.
My mom died when I was 18 in a car accident. I don’t think people realize how priceless it is to have their mom.

Wow. I am sorry to hear that. I remember it being crazy busy with people everywhere. Sad to hear.
I was there in the mid 90s, it was so much fun and they did have great foods!
The Amana food is so good and

If I honestly thought there are potential issues with an airplane dependent on peoples' courtesy, I'd never set foot on one
That makes sense.👍🏼
