I grew up in a town like this, it still looks much the same with just about the same population. Of course most of the downtown retail is gone, but for a Dollar General of course. I hate cities, (went to college in NYC of all places) but left after graduation never to look back! Great video Adam, your do such a great job. Maybe sometime you will visit Walt Disney's town again. Just a great story you told of Walt and his studio in a now empty building.
The scene when Ray’s dad emerges from the corn field and he gets to play catch with him always makes me break down in tears. What I would give to have that experience.

I never saw the movie so I watched it after seeing this video. I can’t believe I never saw this movie. What a great movie!!!! Now I want a road trip to Galena and to the field of dreams.
I’ve visited the Field of Dreams several times. Each time we drive down the long entrance road and driveway I get chills remembering the scene in the movie where they see the long line of cars with their lights on approaching the field. Loved visiting there!
Iowa is so pretty. When you were sitting, looking at the house, a rooster was crowing and it sounded just like the farmhouse scene from Living with the Land in EPCOT.
My Brother in law was one of the people who got the town clock moved from on top of a building to where it is now at 7th and Main. His name is on the plaque there and his men's store is at 9th and Main. His nephew runs the store now. Graham's style store for Men. Been in downtown Dubuque for a round one hundred years. Great to see you touring my home area.

Mom and I visited there in the 80s during Autumn season. The owner had a booth where he was selling souvenirs. The booth was in front of the barn. Mom and I had someone take a picture of us on the bleachers with the house in the background. It was so fun watching families playing catch and some going into the cornfield. Thanks for the memories♥️

Awwwww, my childhood home! Moved away the summer of 1988. I'd recognize that brick "If You Build It" museum building anytime, it was Tegeler's Dairy back in the day - $0.25 orange sherbet push pops were always just a block and a half ride away! Thanks for going back Adam!
