- There are several Pokemon that, for whatever reason, don't evolve like so many others do, and fans have always imagined what evolutions for these Pokemon could look like if they ever received one. Well, in today's video, we are going to be doing just that, and giving an evolution to EVERY Pokemon that doesn't evolve! As this is part 2 to this mini series, this video will focus on Pokemon from gens 5-8.

@@Dark_Side_Productions All 3 of those have 2 evolutions. The mons in this video don’t have an evolutionary tree. If like one with no evolution gets a baby form then the original form should be buffed or given another evolution.
Most single stage mons aren’t popular because they have a glaring weakness statistically and aren’t competitively useful. That and they don’t look fully finished

The pre-evolved form of Throh/Sawk looks like Grover from Sesame Street
It’s clever cause purple is red and blue mixed together, evolved and you get one color without the other, Sawk is blue and Throh is red, brilliant.

It's easier to create a new region with an island where mystical powers create baby versions of pokemon that haven't had them before and make it part of a story. With evolutions it's pretty hard to come up with so many, new item evolutions (magmortar, electivire, rhyperior) or new environment evolutions (magnezone, probopass) because why didn't they evolve in previous regions with those environments or items. Mega's and gigantamax are also weirdly done i think. They keep adding without any story or guideline to why suddenly they can gigantamax or mega-evolve.
I get that they listen to the audience but at least have some lore about it.
I think that many of the stand alone pokemon do look like they could use pre evos because they look like they should have evolved

If you're counting mega evolutions as evolutions (like with Emolga), then wouldn't Audino count as having an evolution, and therefore not be on the list?
Mega Evolutions are just form changes. However, adding preevolutions would be great.

Some of these are great, but you lean HEAVILY on the pre evolutions. Most of the reason behind people not liking baby forms is because “where the crap did they come from” comes to mind. Lol
He also leans heavily on mega evolutions/giantgatamax forms. The aren’t many Pokémon he gave an actual evolution.

hurricane jessa I’m not saying I dislike them. They can be cute. The process to breed them can be a whole lot simpler (example: key item in your bag that tells the game if baby Pokémon breeding takes priority over the standard breeding or not).
Hoops really should’ve assigned a rough 1/3 ratio of baby Pokémon, mega/dynamax, and a member that evolves from the current Pokémon in focus.

I dont like the route he went with the evolution for komala. He made it too lean and agile. I think it should never open its eyes, and instead just become a senior type Pokemon using his stick as a cane and have thicker eyebrows. Maybe make his open a crack, but make it so he's kind of squinting. If they ever made that evolution for him, that would be so awesome

Carbink and Diancie were introduced in the generation before the one that gave us evolving Legendary Pokémon, so I think you may be on to something with the idea that more was planned for it
No. He wasn't. Literally nothing was planned for Diancie. You guys read too much into it. Even if they were to do anything, it would have been like AZ's Floette. It would have to be a special Legendary Carbink that evolves into Diancie. You don't get to just have infinite Diancies from a random wild Carbink you found in a cave.

My guy, not every Pokémon needs a pre evolution. You’ll see something that looks like a middle evolution and you’ll be like “ah yes, this needs a pre evolution” or the same thing with Pokémon who are already as weak as most baby Pokémon

Well, because the fossils are not what was actually walking around prehistorically, I think it's a good thing that they don't evolve. Because it would insinuate that they had time in those forms. I could see it happening if it got a b2w2 treatment where it takes place later on.

Also a cool idea for Mimikyu would be that his Costume blows up and show some holes and snatches while some kind of shadow would lure out of the costume that goes close to the enemy to attack.
Maractus and Sigiliph are actually a couple of my favorite pokemon from gen 5 off of design alone. Don’t really know *why* I like them, but I’ve always had a thing for the odd, or gimmicky. And I just like Maractus in general for no reason. Therefore, these pre-evos for the two of them would make me absolutely ecstatic. I love the concept of Maractus’ pre-evo being a cactus flower. Though, sigiliph’s pre-evo could look a bit less bulbous. As far as I’m aware, they’re supposed to seem somewhat similar to hieroglyphics, and they’e very uncommonly similar shapes. The pre-evo could look less like a smaller version, and more like a grounded one with a slightly different body structure. That’s my idea on it, anyway.
And though Cryogonal is up there with one of my all-time favorite pokemon (again for no reason), I don’t really think it specifically needs the “baby verson” treatment. I do agree it’s more or less a consistent strategy that always seems to work, but it’s not *perfect*. After all, the pokedex states that Cryogonal are formed from ice crystals gathering together, usually in blizzards. I think a pre-evo of Cryogonal would look a little more like an unfinished snowflake rather than just a smaller, less complex one. (Though the latter does work just fine.)
Velozolt, Dracodrill, Dunklefish, and Arctoness would have been super dope for “correct” fossil restorations. I wish they made that happen. Dracodrill and Velozolt would be must haves if so. Same with Arctoness.

well the Mega design he showed would also work as a normal evolution.
With oricorio, not only could it have new forms but it could also have pre evolution. It could evolve via friendship and the nectar would help players get the form they want. If nectar is not used, then it would randomly evolve into a form.
Recent Gen Pokemon really have a lot more of them which are distinct and unique due to their abilities. We've had a few in Gen 6, a lot in gen 7, and in Gen 8 they're flooding the gates

Togedamaru is electric steel. I feel changing that typing for a mega is ill suited to it. Love the design concept but maybe lean more into its stew typing with large back spike and add some tail spikes. Just my take.

You are probably the only CZcamsr I know of that not only like baby Pokémon but advocates for more. I don’t agree but I respect your opinion and view on it. I think overall you have a great idea and series but I would love to see you go back to several of these that you gave pre-evolutions too and give them full next stage evolutions. Not all of them would work and the baby form is the only real solution but for several the babies just felt like a cop out.

I legit DON'T understand WHY Unown doesn't evolve into Siglyph. Like both of them are ancient art that means something, both have a single eye, and also both of them have their black parts around the eye. It just makes sense.

Personally I have always found pre-evo's/baby Pokemon useless especially when given to Pokemons with already horribly low base stat totals i.e cleffa igglybuff and happiny (if I butchered any of those spellings I apologize) but some of the design concepts you found do look really cool. Some baby pokemon existed to allow the player to catch certain pokemon earlier in the game without getting the higher base stat, the primary example being budew in DP.
You are correct that all of the babies introduced in gen 2 were mostly unusable an pointless. The only exception would be tyrouge since it grouped the hitmon line together.

When I was creating my anime team I used Dedenne as my partner because of my old hamster Twix that died (rip) and whenever I got to my Kalos team I had to think about who would be my special Pokémon and I eventually decided on a special Mega Dedenne form that I actually discover. The design for that Mega Dedenne is the same one you used in this video and I was like “oh hey I used that one too”
hey hoopsandhiphop i think it is pretty bad that you dont give the source or the names of the people who created the art, you use other peoples art and make content out of it without giving them credit. what you are doing is the same if i would use the visuals of your video and do a voice over of me saying different things about it, you would consider that theft of your work so dont do that to others. if you dont have permission to use art it is considered theft. you dont even talk about it not being your art, you just search online "minior evolution and steal the one you like most"

Im someone who's more a fan of evolutions that look wildly different but make sense thematically. Like for duraludon, since it's based off of a skyscraper it would be fun to see it as a tiny house evolving into a skyscraper
