- One of the most exciting FPV flights from my trip into the mountains. An FPV drone offers the opportunity to capture the dangerous terrain from a unique perspective. You're about to see mountains in a whole new way!
This is another flight from my road trip this past summer. I was flying my RAD Li-ion and used a 6s2p 18650 battery.

oldguyFPV; I'm an FPV junkie! I stick the antenna directly into my vein! Luv it!
Too many summits we can explore in a single year,Thanks for the video!
I agree! Good luck with DJI drone
❣
Beautiful ❤😎
Whew! That's fantastic. Thanks for sharing your adventures. It's a wild wonderful ride!
The king of the magnificent long range 😍😍😍
Beautiful
Thank you
wahoo another upload! Perfect while I'm currently building my Rad-Lion
Hey buddy! Hope you got your parts finally.
@@FalconRadFPV I did yesterday thankfully! Just hooked up the ESC and motors to the frame and working on the last bit of RX / VTX / buzzer / gps now
Wow super nice 💯❤
Great video! Are these the Alps? More likely the Rocky Mountains ...
Stunning footage, dude! Fantastic flying!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks so much. Keep well my friend!
Awesome flying! I can't wait for one of these days you're going to find Bigfoot flying these super remote mountain tops.
haha one day....
awesome
nice!!
Soooo beutifull video 😍😍🤩🤩🤩
Thanks 🤗
Love it!
outstanding fly. I envy your fly spots. keep it coming.
Thanks, will do!
Nice as usual. Come visit Wa this summer and we'll take ya to some new spots.
That would be cool!
@@FalconRadFPV Lets make it happen
Ya buddy
Jos gandos Om.
Breathtaking. Like to know what are the hardware and setting .
I'm flying my Rad Li-ion frame with T motor electronics and F90 motors. This flight was with analog video.
I’m loving the footage but can’t bear the music
Thanks for sharing, you’ve been my inspiration to conquest LR FPV flying. I got a question. Do you use ND filters on your action cam? If you don’t mind, do you use electronic stabilization and what are your action cam settings. I appreciate your time and insights.
I always use an ND filter, 1/120th shutter and a drone with minimal vibrations for crisp mountains in the background. 30fps and 24fps (I always use 30fps) are the only frame rates that will look really good. 100-200 ISO max if possible, if you have a hero 11 or 12 with gopro labs then bitr-160 / nr01-90 / logb-220 It'll soften the harsh contrast and lighten up the dark shadows a little. Color:flat, if it's nice and sunny you can make the color correction in post easier by just going with 5000k instead of native for the white balance. I never use any in camera stabilization. Gyroflow is the best way to do it in my opinion. I always use the least amount of stabilization needed for the desired look. The higher the stabilization amount the more the program has to zoom in to accomplish the stabilization. With too much stabilization only the center looks ok and the rest is muddy and blurry looking. For this video I used: Pitch 0.500 Yaw 0.125 Roll 0.250 I should have had yaw at more like 0.200 There was some bad yaw movement in the video a little after the dive down near the end that could have turned out better. Don't be afraid to just play around with settings and test them out, but write down a note of what settings you used for each of your flights, ND shutter speed etc... that way when going through footage later on you can look over your notes and see what worked best for the conditions you were flying in.
@@FalconRadFPV thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. FYI. I’m using the iFlight Chimera 7 and my action cam is DJI Osmo 3. Lastly I heard Osmo 3 doesn’t work with GyroFlow? Is that correct? Again thanks a lot. Greetings from SoCal.
Have you tried HDzero for LR? Whats your opinion on it?
I have not but I would like to. I think it looks really good for long range.
Hey man! I've been wondering what you think of the iflight helion? how do you think it compares to the drones you've got in your arsenal?
It looks really cool. Not sure about the real benefits of a 10" though. It'll have a faster out and back cruising speed than a 7 or 7.5" But that's the only advantage I can think of. I doubt the flight times are going to be much different unless you get into making your own 8s batteries but then you'd need to build your own not buy the BNF. With 10" props there might be tuning and or vibration issues. There is a big difference between 7" and 10" props for the RPM. The bigger the prop the slower the RPM, the slower the RPM the lower the frequency of vibrations will be. Frame design can counter this to some extent but I can't see it completely negating the fact that there is a much larger and heavier prop out on the end of the arms. The bigger a quad is the more you will notice the effects of a bad PID tune, so it'll be a bit harder to get it just right. The stock tune might work well if you are using the same all up weight that they tuned it for ( I assume it must come with a custom tune on it). Not sure about the battery going underneath as far as flight feel goes. Usually only racing drones do that. In my experience (with 4" to 8" drones) it has an affect on how the drone corners as well as how smooth the control feel is, but the size and all up weight might overcome that, not sure.
thank you so much for your insight. I was torn between the chimera and the Helion@@FalconRadFPV
Great music selection and cuts!
