This actually made me scream in anguish because NO it does not. When you add two squares, you can't just get rid of the square root like that. Math doesn't work that way. Root of 8^2 + 3^2 is root 64+9 which is root 73. Pretty sure it's a surd, but AAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Also, that solution, being literally 8232 rather than an actual mathematical solution was interesting.
