to any audiophiles out there, you may notice some audio crackle in the past few videos... that's just a thing that happened with some recent recordings, and I decided it wasn't enough to stop me from editing them; I'm skimming some of these longer series for the most memorable moments sometimes, rather than listening all the way through for anything good, which is my usual process. this is probably one of the last ones to hit the main channel that has the crackle, but there will be a few more. if you notice it and it bothers you, try switching to speakers rather than headphones: helps alleviate it for me. seems like most people don't even notice it, though, which is good! keep not noticing it if that's you.
this is also one of the last videos (besides Lark Souls) that is in 30 fps and 720p! so treasure that sweet bitrate crust while you can.

@@miaspaghettiI swear that some of the out of bounds coins in Odyssey weren’t even because the devs discovered you could get there. They probably just went “well this surface is both flat and solid, slap some coins there in case someone makes it here somehow”

9:15 that's a drybone the devs placed for absolutely no reason, it dies because there is no ground beneath him and respawns there, so thats why you are seeing those clouds.

14:51 I love that there’s an actual Comet Observatory force to help put the player back on the planet correctly, meaning that this was encountered probably multiple times during development.
kind of… in any given 2D section you *cannot* move forwards or backwards.
The same walls that keep you from walking off will almost always come with safeguard barriers (or death barriers) beside them. In another section the devs likely found the same glitch and implemented death/“EEAEERREOUEOIRIIIRIOUR” force barriers everywhere else. My theory is that they discovered it in the wooden galaxy with the gravity switches and that’s why there is no barrier there, seeing as it’s harmless.

It can't be the drybones since he's on the other side of the map, be sides I'm pretty sure when enemies fall off the map they don't come back.

I'm really happy that this year we very well may get a Mario Galaxy 1 and possibly 2 remaster/port on Switch, if the rumors are anything to go by. These games are a magical experience and true masterpieces and their honest to god beauty is something I don't think I've seen matched in a video game since.
