      I think it's a very nice looking t-shirt, and just David's way of supporting Russ as a content creator as well!
      And although Russ advocates for no lycra, metal frames, flat pedals racks and whatnot, I truly believe the true party pace doesn't care about those things, and it's about enjoying the ride and just having fun on the bike in the end :)

    I confirm, I've been using Time pedals for more than 20 years and in my opinion they are better than Look and Shimano, easier to attach and detach. ciao from italy

    I started using Time pedals after not packing my Look pedals in a bike bag. I'd used everything up to that point and now 7 years later I'm still using Time. They have the best adjustability, better reliability than Speedplay and while the cleats aren't as bulletproof as Shimano, they are lightyears better than Look. About the only issue is they have a bit more stack height than some options.
    Panaracer never stopped being the top gravel tire, they just don't sponsor people on the scale other tires do.

    It may not have been the best decision looking on pure bike stat sheet but I bought the Falcn RS in February. I had all the SuperSix EVOs, Tamac SL8s, BMC Teammachine Rs and so on on my shortlist and in comparison the Falcn RS may not be the stiffest, most aero and lightest bike. Yes, in the hands of a Pro on a perfect road at 45 kph it may come short a couple of seconds. However, the ride quality is fantastic and what suprised me most is how comfortable the bike is even on the toughest roads despite the aggresive geometry. What I also like is that it does not try to look progressive but rather plain. The Tech is there but it does not jump into your face. I can add that I did not lose any speed compared to my old Canyon Aeroad which moreover beat me up over rough roads.

    £8200 for an ultegra di2 level bike, dear me. Its the game of lets make it more expensive than the tarmac SL8 equivalent so people think it's even better. Meanwhile i got a 2022 SL7 ultegra di2 brand new from a specialized concept store at nearly half price.

      Yeah but you’re riding an old model that’s old stock. When that bike was new it was over 8k. Of course it’s going to be cheaper as no one is going to pay full retail for an old bike.
      This bike is also not £8200 as I bought the pro one with SRAM red power meter through Decathon in Dublin for 8,750 euro.
      The ultegra one is 5,650 euro and this model here is 4,350 euro.

    • @claudiolima224
      @claudiolima224 Před 23 dny +5

      @@Ryan.T89 if you actually watch the whole video you'll know I'm talking about the Ridley bike. Tarmac SL7 being "old" is what they want people to believe so they can justify the price tag that comes with a "new model". No significant differences between SL7 and SL8 as verified by independent testing. The minor aero gains difference between models come only from the handlebar which can be easily swapped. The van ryzel you got has nothing new on it compared to aero bikes for the last 3-4 years. It's obvious that this frame is "inspired" on the SL7. If decathlon saying it's a 2024 model makes you feel faster than good for you 😊

    Just switched to time atac off-road pedals mid tier XC 6 with entry level MX 2 as backup pedals on my CX/ gravel/ general outdoor use bike from decade plus on crankbrothers. Good middle choice between the mud/debris clearing and lightweight of crankbrothers and the solid body of Shimano. Would go favro assimo pedals on my trainer bike as it will needed at some point not just relying on the trainer for power measurement for duel recording.

    Van Rysel in that configuration vs Tarmac SL8 competition model. Also speed and comfort comparision to full on aero road bikes such as Aeroroad and Propel. By the way, there is not much price difference between regular and pro Van Rysel frames. The price difference of the pro is mainly due to the wheels and other components.

    Theese are dangerous bikes from my point of view. I have recently visited local Decathlon and what I found was quite disturbing. There was noticable difference in how hard the side wall of carbon fork felt when simple pressing it with my thumb. It was different not only between different forks but even between left and right side of one piece. One could even see it by eye. I even heard the cracking noise in one instance. It was not really encouraging to buy after all.
