- Now this is something different! Sit down with a nice cut of meat and a glass of orn, grab your scholarly Vyeshal book, and let's talk about a unique take on the RTS experience: Tooth and Tail.
Tooth and Tail is a "distilled" Real-Time Strategy. What does that mean? A bunch of things, but the best part is you you can play this game comfortably with a controller. What? In an RTS? Yeah you read that right. We're jumping right in the middle of this revolution to talk about what works well, and not so well. We'll run quickly through the story, and then delve into the centric multiplayer experince.
If you're normally here for the Nintendo stuff, let me again thank you for taking the time to check out this video. The game deserves the attention.

I heard of "Tooth and Tail" when it got close to release, but this is the first I'll be seeing of actual gameplay. Looking forward to watching this review when I have enough spare time.

Very good review, thanks! This is definitly not my kind of game but that artstyle... the pixel art is so lovely and I love the attention to details. The character pictures are amazing too. I have never heard of this game before but I will check it out for sure.
After watching about halfway into the video, I decided to check out the game for myself and honestly I’m having great fun! I’ve only gotten a little bit into it (a bit due to my insistence on not moving until I get Heroic), and I’ve had a lot of fun with it! Thank you for introducing me to what may be one of my new favorite games!

the actions per minute thing got me thinking about how the tribal and civilization stages in spore are technically rts, but you can pause them at any time as you wish, so you can just highlight whatever units you want at any time

I saw this on the Steam homepage awhile ago. It peaked my interest since I love animals and pixel art, but the RTS label turned me off. But after watching this maybe I'll check it out... Or get it on a whim when it goes on sale.

This game reminds me of Patapon.
Strategy is one of my three favorite genres, but it's always hard to come back to. I've always been too inefficient and cannot stand flying around maps. Furthermore, the controls are better suited for a computer's desktop than a competitive game. My only exception is BTD5, as well as Tooth and Tail (when I get it).

I found funny how you doubt if you like the game only because they eat each other and its "dark"
Heroes of the Storm used to have Reactionary gameplay
but they kind of phased it out with cookie-cutter builds and being able to see what map you get before you play.

I love them kind of game but I agree that iy started to be to much micro management that I did not feel like my smart was used as often or skill but abilty to move unit so playing high lv or real player it lost the fun. but I do still love the game. just wish we got more of it kind an it have a decent handle on it
