- Between internet forums, social media, and CZcams, we converse about video games more than ever before. We share our secrets, provide hints to friends, and compete fiercely in search for the fastest speedrun. However despite all this, many games get left behind in the sand. Some deserve their fate, for sure, but others are quality games that simply went unnoticed.
One such game is Art Style: Rotozoa, part of a seemingly forgotten series of games on Wiiware known as Art Style. It's a small package with a strange concept: match goobugs to the right color and grow your tentacles to a specified length. Yeah, that might not sound all that fun, but with precise movement and an engaging soundtrack, perhaps it's worth a second analysis. Oh not to mention, the game presents a dastardly challenge.
Because this may be my only video on the subject, we're delving into both a review and the secrets. The best parts of the game, basically. The review portion will be first, in case you just want to stick around for that. Also, spoilers.

Nintendo recently trademarked a ton of random stuff, and one of the things they trademarked was "art style". They also trademarked a lot of stuff related to smash bros, soo.....

Also worth mentioning is that this game took advantage of the pressure sensitive shoulder buttons on the Wii's original Classic Controller design. In fact, it may be the only game in the entire Wii library to do so.

I remember doing the same thing back in the late Wii period, looking up Rotozoa on CZcams only to find almost no results. I'd been talking about the Art Style games with friends the other day, so it hit me to try looking it up again. I wasn't disappointed.
Rotozoa is probably my most favorite Art Style game, next to Orbient. The only other ones I've played are Light Trax and Rotohex, which were ho-hum to "eh" at best.
I really do wish these were given new life on the Switch, along with the DSi offerings.
As for my own progress, I certainly got the first two endings, but definitely pulled my hair out trying to get perfect on each stage, so I stopped trying for the last one.

I remember seeing the weird )|( symbol in Art Style: ORBIENT as well. Never knew what it was about there either; you can't interact with it.
I recall playing this with the Classic Controller, using both analog sticks. Naturally the left stick moved the rotozoan; pressing left and right on the right stick did the rotation, and the amount you moved the stick affected how fast you rotated. Kinda handy for a little extra precision.
Weird; I just saw the same thing when I was playing Orbital (the GBA one, a precursor to Orbient)! I’m so confused about what it is, or if it’s in any more of their games…

Wow I remeber this video I remeber I saw it 1 year and 6 months ago. I came back to it because I saw this game and was thinken this looks epic and because I just saw a video on how to mod wiis to allow to get games that were on the wii shop but now *sigh* I can't get them now time to mod them on! so I came here or the name of the game. I'ma watch particular mushrooms other videos I miss his videos gosh he is so underrated but he is such a good CZcamsr!

The fact that you said "don't try to get to wave 100" means that people most certainly *will* try to now.
Had I the chance to get the game, honestly, I would at least try to see how far I could get, but not to any particular amount. Seems like a fun game -- at least until the "later" survival waves.
Yeah maybe that one was a little much, ha ha. But getting to wave 50 is doable and enjoyable, so hopefully those people will get there and realize it's silly to try and get through 50 more waves of the same exact thing.

Are the 3DS and WiiU shops still going to be going? It's just the Wii?
Pinkie the 3ds and Wii u shops will still be supported, but the Wii will allow you to buy Wii points until late March this year, and buy games until early next year. The 3ds and Wii u shops will most likely be supported until 2024 or something. Hope that cleared things up.
