You can't really compare Eurovison to a talent show like The Voice, as it is not a talent show. It is often established artists or up and coming artist who gets selected to compete for their country through a national competition that is held before the international one. Then it is an international competition. Its closer to compare it to a music version of the olympics, really. And there is tons of rules, like it has to be an original song made for Eurovision specifically, you're only allowed 6 people on stage and the songs have to contain a minimum amount of words.

Juli Striker: There used to be a rule that each country had to sing in their respective native tounge, but this was lost somewhere around the 1970's I think. It is still common though, to perform both in native languages and in English, in both, in several languages and well, its a linguistic chaos really.

Personally, I feel like our performers (Denmark) were robbed by the juries. Just because we didn't bring a regular pop- or techno-song, most of them ignored the Danish vikings, even though the audiences loved them. Don't get me wrong; this was a strong year, and most Danes actually didn't want us to win again this year, since Eurovision is really expensive to host. But we expected to at least get into the top 5 overall and be a serious contender.

It would have died out if they hadn’t adapted. Thats they key to Eurovisions survival and always have been they have been on the forefront of trying new show and tv broadcast technology that have become available and it keeps people hooked and interested in it. Love this! 💙 Can you maybe react to the semi-finals and they try to guess which countries passed? That would be great I think!

I hate how Americans tend to call people from Cyprus, Spain or Portugal “Latin” and saying shit like “this is like Latin”, “she’s like the JLo of her place”, as if Europeans were imitating people from South America😡🤬 Can’t they just understand that the whole South American culture and people for that matter are either European or European mixed with local (Indian). It just pisses me off so much!!!
