It’s can be really expensive to visit Las Vegas in 2020 but when you’re armed with some of our tricks for Vegas cheap eats and plethora of other Vegas tips, it’s going to make your Las Vegas travel a whole lot cheaper!
This was our third Las Vegas vlog where we stayed for FREE at Wynn, a 5-star hotel, by playing the Wynn Slots app. This time we even got some free Wynn buffets to boot! In addition to staying in fancy hotels for free, we’ll also show you where you can go to get tasty drinks at a reasonable price with an incredible view of the Las Vegas strip!
Over and above the cheap eats, comped buffets, and incredible views, we also spent some time at The Cosmopolitan where you’ll find some of the best free drinks on the strip. If you’re gambling in Vegas, they’ll let you drink for free, even if you’re a low roller like us! We’re going to share one of our favorite tricks for “gambling” with very little risk of losing much.
This was my birthday trip, so we also took advantage of some free (and quite lucrative) birthday gifts. So if your birthday is coming up, our tips for Las Vegas are going to pay MAJOR dividends!
Some say that Las Vegas has gone downhill in the past few years, but we guarantee that there are still tons of awesome deals to be had in Las Vegas 2020. Be sure to check out the rest of our Vegas videos to help with your Las Vegas travel in 2020 and beyond!
Aside from getting comps and discounts through the MyVegas apps and Wynn slots, don’t forget to check Groupon for Las Vegas deals. Before you purchase one, sign up for Rakuten (formerly Ebates) so you can get cash back on this and just about every other online purchase. I’ve earned over $1,100 cash back so far. Tangerine Travels are you having the Gin Fizz with egg whites?
Ty for the link. 🌿😉
@@Stanveljkovic69 They didn't make it with egg whites at Wynn but earlier in the day I had one at The Strat that had egg whites.
Coming with my partner 1st time in June. Any advice on cheapest way to get rooms. Thanks. Love your videos
@@stuartpietzka9148 I'd recommend that you both download and play the Wynn Slots app. Check out the Facebook group Wynn Slots Tips & Tricks for a whole bunch of good advice for beginners.
As a Vegas local, I highly recommend Ellis island! Kinda of a rough neighborhood to walk to from the strip but the steak dinners and super cheap house beers are well worth it! We used to go there for date night at least once a month
Mike Honcho Interesting - always great to hear a locals point of view. I didn’t think it was rough just not as developed but agree that Ellis Island is worth a walk or an Uber :)
Hands down my favorite hotel in town. Family owned and operated, inexpensive great beer, only a 5 minute walk to the rear entrance of the flamingo and an awesome staff. The rooms are super nice too. You have good taste sir.
Happy Birthday Jordan ! Thanks to you and Maddie I have a greater understanding and appreciation of Law Vegas and Mexico . Since being disabled I haven't been able to travel as much so I'm living vicariously through your adventures ! Keep on traveling ! Take Care and Be Safe ! GOD BLESS !!
We've received some comments calling us cheap for "only" tipping housekeeping $5. I'd like to make a couple points on this topic. First of all, that's $5 per night, not for the entire stay. But secondly, even if it was for the entire stay, that's more than most people tip. In talking to housekeepers, we've learned that most people don't tip housekeeping at all and those that we talk with are usually happy to get $1 or 2 per night per room because it goes a long way in supplementing their income.
Even though we're very frugal with our spending in Vegas, I don't think you can honestly call us cheap when 30% of our daily budget goes to tips.
@Miso Mama in las Vegas isn't there a union or something similar where all servers bar staff have to get paid a minimum wage if something like $15 per hour?
You seem like a frugal and sensible couple. Don't listen to any idiots. Trust me I know some of them and they go to a place like vegas and tip and gamble and buy stupidly priced champagne just so the can feel "wealthy" for a few nights and then go home broke. Madness.
@@TimetoTimetoTime yes, but good ole IRS taxes you to the point where an 80 hour check is dwindled down to 350 dollars after taxes due to allocation. I make 14.63 an hour in the Union local 226, with a tipped position. IRS taxes me based on the average annual sales of our restaurant, and an educated guess based on what is deemed acceptable tipping wise. IRS assumes waiters walk out with at least 12% of sales, and I have had more 260 dollar nights on 3000 dollar sales nights than I care to discuss. It's like mob type crap, I pay the IRS a premium just to have the opportunity to make tips if you think about it. If I have a thousand dollar table that leaves me 120, it really messes with my support staffs income. Furthermore, the IRS assumes I net 120 on a 1000 in sales and 120 would net me roughly 72 dollars after I tip my support staff. Every raise I get annually feels like a punch in the brown button, as it's just a raise for our Government at this point. Constantly playing with my contributions 401k wise for my wife and I, trying to offset the Man's cut. Very grateful for my job though, I am covered 100% insurance wise, my wife and I, as long as I work atleast 120 hours a month.
@@joeang5788 thanks for an in-depth reply. I am from the UK so please forgive my ignorance around the subject. So if I understand correctly, the IRS makes you pay taxes on a theoretical rate of 12% tips. So you need to be tipped more than that so that you actually make 12% after sharing a portion of the tips with the support staff?
Therefore if you make an average of only 8% in tips over the course of a year. You are paying taxes on 4% of none existent tips?
To me if anything you over tip. I've never understood the need to tip at a buffet meal for instance. What am I tipping for? Because they bussed the table or brought me a drink??????? That I could get myself if they let me? Beyond that I've always found that bellhops in high end hotels take my bag to my room for me so tipping them just for going and getting them out of storage seems a bit much to me. And the first time I ever took an Uber I asked the girl if I should tip her and she said no that Uber pays her and there is no need to tip her. Now lest everybody jump my case about tipping, I do have to ask if you tipped for all of your free drinks? And I do have to say I would absolutely tip a waiter at a full service restaurant even if my meal was comped, and yes I would absolutely tip housekeeping although I find $5 a day to be excessive. One final thought here on this subject, at Ellis Island your meals were $14 and tax must have put it to $16 so I assume you didn't get beverages?
I'm saving this video with my "Best" so I can refer to it if/when I go to Vegas someday.
Thanks for another awesome and informative video! 🌿💜
You guys Rock!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jordan 🎂🎉💕
Awe we just missed you guys! We fly from Canada every year. This year I left with more money than I went with! Love your videos!
It’s been awesome too see how much y’all channels have grown. I’m literally obsessed with Vegas so this channel gets me my fix lol!
I moved to Vegas a year ago and these tips are so helpful! I didn't even know about the Ellis Island breakfast deal! Thanks alot, guys.
I just wanted to thank you Tangerine Travel for the great advice on going to the Cromwell. My wife and I played the slots and tipped each time for each of us and got incredible Cadillac Margaritas that were very good and strong. Only took us 2 each to say "that's enough" got to a perfect point to still stand and walk.. LOL 😂 🤣
Love it‼️ I visit Vegas every year for the past 15 years....your tips are on point. Thanks 😀
Y'all are so much fun to watch and give the BEST tips and advise! I'm heading back to Vegas in April for my 24th and your videos have been a huge help :)
Thank you for so many valuable tips! This is so smart, I'm still stuck at home just searching travel blogs or booking sites like Staypia but I really hope the day will come when I can use all of these.
Awesome video. I live your Wynn tips and tricks. Going in April. Thanks Tangerinies!
I'm so excited you guys are doing more of the Vegas videos!! That is how I came across your channel and watch ALL your videos now! To bad you guys wont be there in March..that's when my bestfriend and I are going. But THANK YOU for new ones right before I go!
We just spent 4 great nights in Vegas (also for my birthday) and I just want to say thank you for this video which is 100% legit - I tried to do as many of the things you recommended and ran out of time (and we had 4 nights!) but it really helped us make the most of it - thank you!
I love watching your vlogs. You are so entertaining. Im a Vegas veteran but never knew many of these helpful hints....Great tips....im going to try many of these things, thank you for sharing. Looking forward to the next one! Going back to Vegas for my birthday in October so a lot of these tips will come in handy!
Your videos on Vegas are the best on CZcams by far. Thanks for all the great tips!
My sister and I recently went to Las Vegas and stayed at the Linq per your suggestions. It was perfect location for us, easy to get in and out of the casino, easy to get on the monorail. We loved to go to the hash house gogo that was located in the Linq. Our room was clean and modern, bed were soooo comfy. We had a view of the High Rollar, at night was spectacular. We just wanted to thank you for the suggestion and we had a blast in Las Vegas. Besides the fact, we saved a lot of money on our hotel room to go have fun.
You guys are awesome! Your channel is so much fun to watch!
Awesome!!! I’ll be there for my birthday week March 1-5! Thanks as always!
I wish I would’ve seen this before I had went with my hubby last week 😭 Definitely taking notes now for next time! Thank you!

Your best video to date. Thank you for sharing.
I saw you guys walking through Paris to Ballys 2 weeks ago!
Sounds about right! 😄
SO GLAD you guys found ellis island. I used to stay there as a tourist because walkable mid strip, cheap, and all the food options. I still go for the cheap microbrews as a local
Thank you so much for this video!! I'm going back in 2 weeks for my 3rd trip, I'll definately be checking out Ellis Island
I really enjoy your videos! You two seem fun :) Thanks for the tips!
We are heading the Vegas in September, some great ideas in your vid. Thanks!
I like how you guys are still tipping that's really cool!! U guys are awesome
Whether Mexico or Vegas or whatever, you guys are informative, charming and fun to watch. Thanks
I'm from Vegas and I love watching your videos set here. I've learned stuff from you guys that I never knew! Probably because I don't gamble, but the Cosmo is my favorite Strip casino and it's the only one with patios for the rooms (better when they have a view of the Bellagio fountains though!) There are lots of beautiful places set in nature outside of the city too and easy driving distance to many amazing, national parks. Frontier has direct flights to Cancun which I took last year. Hope you come back soon, Vegas visitors need your advice!
I never knew about the birthday free slot play. Prefect timing for this video since I going for my birthday soon. 👍🏽
I'm headed to Vegas next week!!! Thanks for the tips!
I didn’t think of it until you mentioned it. Lol
Great tips and tricks! Thanks! I’m going back in april 😍
My boyfriend and I are currently planning a Vegas Vacation for my birthday in January. This has been one of the most helpful videos yet lol. Thanks.
You guys!!!!! Your best video to date imo. That was really FUN!!!’ Happy birthday Jordan. I am sad because I am watching this on 3/16/2020 and Vegas is closing down to stop spread of CV and I just canceled my reservation for early April. :-(. Thank you for consoling me! And good news about the birthday comps! Very cool!!
Thank you so much guys!!
I only have one night in Vegas coming up in a couple of weeks and because of your videos my day and night in Vegas is going to be so much better💚
Thanks so much for the tips me and hubby are going soon.
I love the videos. Im hyped for the new ones in 2020!!
My husband and I were there in January this year too! We loved the weather and were wearing shorts and tshirts the whole time since we are from Colorado l. The weather was perfect for us.
Love this video, thank you. And you show what I want to see in a casino. I want to see the hallways, elevators, casino floor, lobby, etc. Great job guys.
That's smart travel, and good job putting up the video!
Love these tips. Thank you guys!!
Happy Birthday Jordan. We were just at a food and beverage expo a few hours ago in Lethbridge Alberta Canada, and we Won a 3 day trip for 2 to Vegas (airfare & hotel) on their hourly draw!!! We don’t have all the details yet but we are excited to be heading there soon for the first time. We will be brushing up on all of your Vegas videos for sure.
Going to Vegas after a long COVID hiatus. Headed there on my birthday and I hit the jackpot with watching this video. Thanks!!
Super informative, great quality video, thanks!
You guys are like me majority of Vegas budget is spent on cocktails. Seriously great informative and fun video.
Happy Birthday Jordan!!🎉🥳
So based on what I'm seeing here if you had skipped the Strat tower and used the Deuce instead of Uber and Lyft you could have done most of this day for just about nothing. That's smart traveling IMO. Props to y'all.
I really enjoy your videos!!! Both of your voices is so soothing
I love you guys and your videos, great vibes!!
What an awesome and informative video!! Going to Vegas tomorrow with my boyfriend for the first time for both of us!!! This helped pump me up and gave me hope. You guys are such a cute couple! Subscribed!!
While I don't know if I could completely recreate it, I really enjoy the tips and will have to incorporate them into my next trip! Thanks guys!
I just subscribed two videos ago, I love Tangerine Travels. You two (and Laska) are sooo cute and fun.
Thank you so much for your fun informative videos. My hubby & I visit Vegas at keast 3-4 a year. We have learned each time we go. We live n learned. And we love it. I have learned from you two. I just recently came across your videos n i love them. Would u be doing videos of Fremont Experience in old Las Vegas?
Wife and I got to the strat about the same time as you got there on our last visit. It was an amazing view with the sunset.
This was really helpful, thank you!
Just missed you this week. We visited the Conservatory, Venetian, Strip Walk, etc. if we knew you were in town, we would have looked for you. We live here and did not know about the Birthday Free Play, thanks.
Check out the Venetian and Palazzo, St. Marks Square, the ceiling art work in the Venetian lobby by the poker room for displays.
Grimaldis will be right there in the Palazzo. Did you check out the chocolate fountain display down the hall from the Bellagio Conservatory and the fountains outside?
i love your travel vidoes because you always show how to get cheap drinks
I’ve never had a losing session at Cosmopolitan; I really recommend Video Poker there.
I would also make sure you have your Ceaser’s Rewards card on you at all times; almost everything you spend there can be added to your account.
Thanks for the great tips. Not a big gambler myself, so I have to find ways to kill time while the guys are playing poker. All these comps & hacks seem like a fun game in itself
Super helpful info on concentrating your play at one place. Thanks! I’m curious what the drinks were that you got at the Cosmopolitan.
Wow! Great deal seeking!!! I stayed at off strip springhill about a mile away from Wynn. Excellent skills and liked your style of angle filming.
WOW! VEGAS is AWESOME,.....and thanks to you guys, not just for the wealthy folks, thanks Maddie, thanks Jordan for all these COOL Vids, and Happy Birthday Man! :)
I’ve never been to Las Vegas, so glad I found this video, taking notes on all these savings 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Here’s a tip for you, Vegas is way more fun if you bring several thousand dollars with you.
I really enjoy watching your vegas videos. I've never been but I want to go so bad but do it on a budget.
This is the Ultimate Vegas Video! Thanks!
