      Its crazy how that different crowd has effectively changed the feeling on the strip. We have been to LV 3 times since the reopen. The last trip was the worst. Hopefully the prices will go back up asap and the riff raff will again be priced out. No need for that kind of uneducated unsafe behavior.

      ProstitutionIS legal, down there, so ... one is going to run into The Ladies of The Night fairly often.
      And Homeless People are far more visible now, because ... all of their shelters are closed down due to covid. Here, in Seattle, one can see tents EVERYWHERE!

      I'm lived here nearly 21yrs,but if ur not working or visiting this area regulary,it's very likely u will get lost(and for those driving,when leaving any of these est make sure u clock ur Parking Space👍being distracted &jumping out of ur car and heading straight inside may cause u one almighty headache..
      And there is a view that the Casino's purposefully make it thus,because at the end of day the last thing they want is people leaving(they want u to stay& blow all ur $$$$$)

I appreciate the information you share, your observations and conclusions. I've been coming to LV for a few years now. Now, keep in mind that I am a security retired "professional" so, well keep that in mind when I tell you the following. Recently, since the pandemic, the crime in LV has become too problematic. All that said, before the pandemic, and the crime that piggybacked on that opportunity, LV was one of the safest places to visit, at least as an adult! This video is wonderfully done! You are right on ALL counts! JUST keep in mind that, since this pandemic, more caution is advised! Too many criminals are preying on the tourists. It is NOT the same town. Hopefully, within the next year (or more?) it will be a safe place to visit once again. Nice job with this video!

WHACK JOB!? I know quite a few people LEAVING LV between the scammer, homeless and criminals homicide shot up +1,000%? Some couple got GUNNED DOWN simply because the guy DIDN'T pull his wallet out FAST ENOUGH? You WON'T hear about these MURDERS on TV on the paper because they DON'T want people like you hearing about it!? STAY OUT OF VEGAS, BETTER OFF going to Reno!? • @Gingermycat

    The crowd in vegas right now is very dangerous!!! I quit my job on the strip with no backup because getting shot is higher right now. Gun shoots never used to be a common thing on the strip now it's very common almost a nightly thing. In one week I heard 3 gun fights in one week. Experienced two bar fights at the place where I worked. They completely distorted our bar and my manager didn't go back to work for almost a week. The reason why the wynn properies have that kind of security is because of a huge fight that happened that could have easily turned into a shoot out. The clip is on the internet somewhere. Watched to many almost fights and also seen people literally be smart af to me the worker trying to make a living. In addition, prostitution is illigal in Las Vegas but not in nevada because they don't want the air force to bring them on base. The workers try and not get caught some of them have their faces plastered all over the security room because they come all the time. The homeless got better after Oct. 1st. It got worse because well people are getting kicked out of their homes and don't have a job. I almost never go to the strip right now it actually brings me PTSD from when I worked during this time. Please be careful to everyone that thinks vegas is safe it's not!!! I would stay away like I said the first time 😂

      @seekingserenity1902 Před 3 lety +1

      Quiting a job without back up? That is saying a lot. Thanks for the honesty. Have been there several times and enjoyed it but won't go if safety is that compromised. Probably be a couple of years before I go back. If Vegas wants my hard earned money and patronage they better make their city reasonably safe.

    • @Gingermycat
      @Gingermycat Před 3 lety +1

      @@seekingserenity1902 we will be back to our usual self but will probably be a little different because we are figuring out our new normal. The violence is going to go down eventually idk when but it will. If you do plan on going to the strip do it when the sun is out it's safer then. With anywhere you go in the world watch your back. Once the prices are raised probably when the conventions come back it will be much safer. My guess after hearing that we upped our number of people in one place to 250 and the rumor is the clubs are opening the beginning of the year. That the beginning of 2021 everything should be back to the new normal similar to the old normal

    • @seekingserenity1902
      @seekingserenity1902 Před 3 lety

      @@Gingermycat Hope so, I do enjoy going. I don't do clubs/bars. Don't feel the need to walk the Strip-been there done that. I use the monorail mostly-stay at Harrahs due to good pricing and station attached. Half the time I go alone but am always aware. I usually do dinner and a show/concert every night so with the new normal I might have to splurge for a cab which is worth it to stay safe if monorail not sage at night. Anyway when I am ready to go back i'll check and plan accordingly. You stay safe.

    Maddie is sweetly trying to tell us that there is a thug environment in Vegas right now. We were just there. This is a result of the stadium opening, pot is legal and allowed to be smoked openly, room rates are so so cheap that it’s drawing the wrong crowd driving over from Cali, plus half of the casinos, buffets, absolutely no shows, are closed and it doesn’t help. The cosmopolitan is not the quality it was before the pandemic. Cuz it normally rocks. It was just above basic to me at this point. They were also closing around 3:30 pm. The was the most honest video I have seen so far about what is happening in Vegas. Have fun guys stay safe.

    Was there over 4th of July and the scooters were getting out of control. The crazy violence wasn't started yet, but now I understand it's an issue.. Encore had a 'problem' recently with even several security getting beat up and hospitalized.

    Yeah I saw the scooter bandits when I was there on the week of labor day. They say that people are getting robbed more on the strip at night that's probably why there is more security. I think it's more local/ near by people that's there on the weekend

    I constructed the Showcase in front of the MGM. One thing that amazed me was how the pedestrians acted. It was like they had left their brains on the plane that brought them to Vegas. Once I found this drunk fella trying to crawl thru a very small hole in the fence. I tapped him on the shoulder and pointed out that all he had to do was walk around it.

    My all-time favorite buffet in Vegas is the Studio B buffet located on the M Resort like 10-15 minutes off the strip. The price is pretty decent at like $40 a person but it comes with wine, beer and I believe champagne that comes with the dinner. They have a pretty good variety as well as pretty delicious quality.

    I bought a townhome about 2-1/2 miles west of Mandalay Bay about 8 months ago thinking that I may want to move there when I retire in 2-3 years but after going there every 4 weeks, I have decided Las Vegas is not my kind of town. I rarely even go to the strip. But I did get turned around in Caesars this past Friday. :)

    I was in Vegas the same time you guys were there. It is really different now. We didn't go anywhere near the Strip, we were at Red Rock and Rampart. Would have been nice to see you both as I have watched most of your videos. My wife and I have considered Mexico as a possible retirement destination.

    The "different crowd" thing was real. Biggest reason for it was flights and rooms on The Strip were dirt cheap, so you had a different class of visitor so to speak coming to town.

    When I was there in Sept it really was a different crowd! Classless is a kind way of saying it. I almost got mowed down in the Aria by the one of the scooter crews also. Verbally assaulted in the parking garage at the Cosmo. I feel once they open the clubs again these people that don't know how to act in public will be able to get back to being sloppy in the confines of the clubs until 4am or later and leave the casinos and strip to people with at least a shred of decency.

    Yessss, The Venetian is a labyrinth. My friend and I wandered around on multiple levels for half an hour trying to find the ride share area, thinking it was by the main entrance like other resorts. No...it was on an upper level of the parking garage BEHIND the hotel.

    I couldn’t agree more with your comments. We recently stopped in Las Vegas on a cross country trip and couldn’t believe the change in tourism. We did not feel safe walking around and we also experienced those stupid scooters zipping around the strip with no regard for others. We are big-time Las Vegas visitors but will not go back until things are back to normal whenever that is
