    Update, and btw I bought this pump directly from this advertiser and their support level is quite high.
    After I finished installing the pump by myself, plumbing and wiring, I have been running and fine tuning it.
    So now I settle for RPM 1930, for 8 hours per day total, and at 300 watts per hour.
    And that is 2400 watts per day, whic is equivalent to 1 hour with the old single speed Super Flo, that I only can afford to run it for 4 hours a day.
    So from around 10,000 watts per day to 2400 watts per day, and the pool is very clean, I am very satisfied with this VS pump, living in California, and I have solar recently.
    Also, it is very quiet. Cannot hear it running inside the house. I will have to be careful in the summer and watch out for water level getting below the skimmer line, so I dpon't burn the pump running dry.
    Last thing is I think to run this pump for 24 hours per day, is kind of overdoing it. No wonder why they break down for some people. My thought.

    Having trouble with it starting. I've set the time but it is not starting at the time marker. I press Start and it moves to the Speed indicator which states "0". I can get the quick clean going either. Maybe it's me but the control panel isn't super user friendly. I bought this from Pool Parts to Go just last week.

    Ok, please do a video showing how to wire and program the unit using a Jandy Aqua link system. No RS serial data is used, but there is 5V reference signal to be induced into the relays on the aqua link. The confusion comes in when you try to understand if the 3 other wires control 1-3 speed setting or the 2-4. Regardless, what would you set the durations at? The reason for asking is that most of us are replacing a Jandy or Pentair that uses RS serial data to control the pump for spa use and it is not clear how to control the speeds we want.

    • @poolpartstogo
      @poolpartstogo  Před 7 měsíci

      With the automation adapter, you still set the speeds using the pump's own keypad and then the automation system will use a signal sent via the relays to tell the pump when to run at which speed. Every installation is essentially custom, but if you can send us pictures of the existing wiring in your automation system to CS@PoolPartsToGo.com we'll be happy to give customized guidance in your situation.

    • @baronpilot2bb
      @baronpilot2bb Před 7 měsíci

      Ok, that makes sense; however, what would you set the “duration” at for the 4 pump speeds and I assume it needs to be in manual mode? Or does it not matter what the duration is since the aqua link would send the signal through the closed relay?

    Great video. I just installed this pump a couple days ago. Only issue I have is that the clock on the pump does not stay on current time. I set the time to current time then come back the next day and the clock is way off which is messing up the schedule of when to run. Any ideas how to fix?

      Every installation is essentially custom and we can give customized guidance if you can send us pictures of the wiring in your automation system to CS@PoolPartsToGo.com. That said, we do have a video that shows how the automation adapter works and is wired into an automation system here: czcams.com/video/qcD2X3rg97g/video.html

    Thinking about picking up this pump but my current automation system powers off both my salt system and my pump. If I continue to use my existing automation to schedule on/off for this pump will that mess up the internal clock? Doesn't seem like a great idea to run my salt system 24/7. Can I have my timer start power at say 7am and then let the pump ramp up/down until I kill the power at 7pm? I need a VS pump and this is my top candidate if I can overcome the built in clock.

    • @poolpartstogo
      @poolpartstogo  Před rokem

      Hi Dewayne! You can't cycle the power using the external system, but we do also have the INTCON automation adapter that may be applicable in your situation. Email me pictures of the inside wiring of your automation panel and I can give custom guidance on this: CS@PoolPartsToGo.com

    Do you have any recommendations on this specific pump with a chlorinator? Particularly when the variable speed is set to a lower setting and the chlorinator is flashing "low flow"

    • @poolpartstogo
      @poolpartstogo  Před rokem +1

      Some salt systems are a bit more ornery on flow rate, you'd want to adjust the RPM up until the low flow goes away. If you're having run a high RPM to establish flow, then I'd strongly recommend having your salt system serviced as it's flow sensor may need replacing or cleaning!

    • @rcharger007
      @rcharger007 Před rokem

      @@poolpartstogo Thanks for the tip! Yea looks like I was able to get the flow light green at 1750 RPM so that seems to be reasonable about half from the max 3450

    • @poolpartstogo
      @poolpartstogo  Před rokem

      Hi Ron! There's no quick reset to go back to factory settings, but you can manually reset the settings to the defaults. I'd first double check that you have a speed AND duration setting on all 4 buttons. Please email me CS@PoolPartsToGo.com and I can help dig into this for you!

  • @danle2884

    • @poolpartstogo
      @poolpartstogo  Před rokem +1

      Yes you can! You will want to change the RPM settings and do it across SPEED1 and SPEED2 with SPEED3 and SPEED4's durations set to 0.
