Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Sidestand Mod

The side stand on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is notoriously short, and in this vid I fit a shoe to lengthen it a bit.
On closer inspection, there is clearance between the shoe and the exhaust.

How has this held up to the heat of the pipes, and does it catch on the centre stand when putting either stand down?

Hi unfortunately since I fitted this I have had a series of health problems which has prevented me from riding, so I don’t know the answer to the heat question, although it is also a concern of mine. The clearance is not great, however it doesn’t foul the side stand. I hope to get back on the bike towards the end of the summer
