Minerva is one those characters that im surprised hasnt appeared in a american tv show yet
The comics even changed her character twice. They should’ve kept to the original version.

Started life as a recolour, live your whole life as one. Even the non-transforming toys you speak of got redeco'd back into Nightbeat.

Skywarp, however, has always been a repaint of an existing figure. He is the only original trio Seeker whose deco wasn't based on the Diaclone toy.

Super-God Masterforce is like Transformers version of Super Sentai, funny enough the studio that made the anime is Toei who is also responsible for Super Sentai.
Recently I've been thinking that it does seem toku ish too if you think about it
The name itself is too ridiculous and dumb to not be a Super Sentai reference
Especially considering that just three years later, a similarly named Super Sentai Series would drop: Chou-jin Sentai Jetman.
Now I wish Wonderful Precure had crossover with Transformers Super God Master force instead of that Crayon Shin Chan. No, I'm NOT kidding Pretty Cure just had a crossover with Crayon Shin Chan. They could've done the recent Sentai or Kamen Rider or Digimon, but NOPE, let's crossover our magical girl show with a weirdly drawn show about perverted kid. /Well, that's what I heard about the show anyway, all I know is that it sounded like a show not for kids.

Honestly I think the Elita 1 mould was originally intended for Minerva and that Elita was made first to garuntee the figure's sales.
@@Stringer7390 I do wish, if that’s the case… that Minerva and Elita had a lot more remolded parts difference. Mainly her body, and I think she would have benefited from having a similar mechanism to Strongarm’s shoulders (where they are a part of the shoulder). It would also make sense because the gun that Minerva came with is a similar mold to her original toy, which Elita has just in transclearant blue
I have a soft spot for Minerva in my heart, I consider her one of the breakout characters of Masterforce (If not, from the entire Japanese G1 continuity)
I would be very happy if she made an appearance on a new TV show (Even as a cameo, that would be better than nothing)

Whose character should’ve been kept when the western comics adapted her. But they changed her character twice.
Her mother is French and her dad is from the fictional nation of Mont Parta, presumably in Europe.

And she wasn’t properly adapted in the west from her original version either. Either she was an adult detective or an actual transformer, never a head master.
I really love how TFCC Minerva and Legends Nightbeat are both so ridiculously American and ridiculously Japanese respectively

Minerva was how I stumbled into super god Masterforce and admittedly JG1 in the first place.
I just had no idea who she was,did some digging and the rest was history
Animated introduced me to Minerva through Peaugh's video back in 2011...
I was introduced to Minerva through the Masterforce anime itself, actually Masterforce was my first introduction to Transformers in general, and both Masterforce and Victory are my TF childhood, so Minvera has a special place in my heart. Also I sorta had a crush on her when I was small, so there's that.

Ah Minerva, a personal favorite character of mine. I’ve always loved Medic characters, and her unique history always stuck out to me, both in where she began as a human girl and the first female transforming female toy for the franchise, to a seemingly fan favorite. I remember desperately hunting down her Legacy toy in my local Walgreen’s until having to resort to online sellers to get her. But I’ve always loved her character as a genually kind and gentle character that still wasn’t afraid to fight back when the time came. Here’s hope she gets more appearances in the future, as well as her fellow Headmaster Juniors.

Minerva, the character who opened the flood gates for all Transformers fembots appearing on the shelves of retail outlets.
If only her character was kept in her original Japanese version when the western comics adapted her.
It might be kind of fun if a Transformers show were to incorporate Minerva either as a sibling or a human partner to Nightbeat. That would be a fun way to play on their original toy connection.

@@whitewolf3051 Why not? This isn’t some sacred text, it’s an old anime that was already a major departure from the original western version in the first place. If the Japanese can turn Beast Wars into a comedy we can turn Minerva into Nightbeat’s twin.
They could be brother and sister. Either as Cybertronians or as human Headmasters.

The first time i ever came across this character was in TFANIMATED, which was also my space bridge(🤭) into everything Transformers
Man this girl was one of my first fictional crushes, I remember when I start watching Masterforce, she became my favorite character besides Ginrai, and I love her Transformer design, didn't knew was a re-color of another bot, but she defined have become the definitely version of the character.....I hope someday Hasbro officially make her back in the animated shows, not a random cameo but a full flesh out character, and hope she stay in her human form as well, not that weird re-imagine of that comic, her original version......also HASBRO please make a FIGURE of her original Masterforce version not a re color, your losing money not doing that already.

Firestar, Moonracer, Chromia: first official seen
Minerva: first toy(recolor)
Trans metal Air Razor: first original toy
If splitting hairs, before any are seen, Firestar is the one blowtorching a door and Moonracer speakers before their seen

The western comics should’ve kept to the Japanese original with Minerva.
@@whitewolf3051 When ratchet character profile was created the idea was to be a fembot hence the name, a reference to “Nurse Ratched” from _One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest_

Minerva is one of my favorite transformers. My personal headcanon is that Nightbeat and minerva are siblings akin to sideswipe and sunstreaker.
She is very sweet and awesomely cute! I'm sad America never got to embrace Minerva but I am thankful for those fans that requested her for this video so I can learn about her awesomeness!❤❤

This round of sponsored episodes is off to a great start. Minerva was a character that intrigued me, as she was the first female character to get a toy. For a number of years, I hoped that she'd get an official release outside of Japan. Her figure in the Legacy line is one of my top favorites.
3:05 "though she was initially a reluctant fighter, the cruelty of the Decepticons ignited a righteous anger in Minurva." This gives me a Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind vibe, a female fighter who reluctant to fight but the violent and cruelty of the enemy cause her to act fast, and the use of kindness to help other (even when they are enemy), well, someone a fan of Hayao Miyazaki's work, and I can see why
I remembered her vaguely from Masterforce (which was broadcast by one of the smaller Italian TV channel, can't remember which), it was really nice seeing her again in IDW2.
For a character from a 1988 Japanese television series, Minerva is pretty stunning.
I've watched Transformers Super-God Masterforce episode 3 because that is where Minerva first appeared and she was starting to grow on me. She looks like Carly Witwicky from G1, she's so beautiful just like her mother "Her words, not mine" although it's true, and I was beginning to like this character, I only watch episodes with her in it.
One day I would like to use her as a references.

Anyways, I just wanted to say that this new video dealing with The Transformers character known as Minerva was absolutely awesome. I found the information about the different versions of this character to be honestly very interesting and I did enjoy seeing all the different images of the character as well.
In addition to that, I just wanted to say that I actually did own the DVD series that this character actually came from and really enjoyed watching them. I actually watched them so much that the DVDS kinda got worn down. Anyways, thank you for the detailed information about Minerva. I can't wait to see the next thrilling Transformers related video that heads our way. I also hope that you have future plans for videos about the other characters from Headmasters and the rest of the Japanese series that connect to that universe. In my school vr game she is the one in the game who nursed the decepticon bio powerhouse Goalius back to health after he was lbadly injued by Tarn and the DJD and her headmaster (the original girl) did help Goalius in teaching him about kindness but unfortunately Minerva was killed by the demon Exodus while her headmaster was hospitalised

How I get to know Minerva, I faintly recall it was early mentioned special DVD released Cybertron Thunderblast in Minerva's deco.
One attention to detail on og G1 Minerva toy I just noticed, that hinge that's on roof in vehicle mode was made to look like siren lights which on G1 Nightbeat toy was yellow.

The last time I re-watched the Sunbow cartoon, I decided to follow it up by watching the Transformers anime from the 80s; and so it was that I first encountered Minerva watching Super-God Masterforce in the 2010s. She was one of the best characters in that show, and it's a shame she's never showed up in western media in a way that was true to the original character - though the fact that she's shown up in western media at all is a still an impressive feat.
Man, Transformers anime is such a treat. I’d wish Takara Tomy would contract a Japanese animation company to make one more.
A few years ago at the tfcon in baltimore, I missed finding a loose original G1 toy in the wild. It was literally only by a few seconds and I was grabbing for as someone else zipped in. It was loose and color faded but definitely recognizable as that Minerva toy. I think it went for around $100 if I recall properly. On a side note, I was able to get a lot of the original Headmasters from Japan. Although not hers there was a sticker of the French girl on another box for some reason.
Apparently when Nightbeat and siren were released in China and Korea, the stickers were added, but apparently the people who applied weren't aware Minerva shares a mold with Nightbeat, not siren, so her picture ended up on sirens box, and shuta suffered the same thing but reversed.

I love the general look and color scheme of Minerva so much. I also love some of the recolors that have been released over the years. I hope she gets more toys!
One thing i think is interesting is how despite supposedly being a Japanese version of Nightbeat she looks completely different and is her own character unlike other Japanese Transformers whom look exactly the same with different names like Cab, Dauros or Blood
After looking at Masterforce media, the only characters who were different from their American counterparts were ginrai, Minerva, goshooter, and the darkwings brothers

Ok, Ginrai is definitely one of the more complex examples due to starting out looking exactly like Optimus Prime only for his design to evolve where he became his own character in the form of Victory Leo. When it comes to Goshooter and the Darkwing twins while slight changes were somewhat common (like portraying the seacons as an mass army) and they still mostly looked exactly the same even if they got SOME colors changes (like Blood having a purple face plate) and yes they often did have different personalities from the originals that came mostly from their human forms and screentime rather than I bot mode, unlike Minerva who got a complete overhaul in design and personality truly becoming her own character rather than being an copy paste like most.
It's kinda like with Dreadbot and Berserker who look almost exactly the same as Crowbar and Crankcase but with slightly different designs and personalities before counting them as new characters.
Great video my friend! Now I would really like to see a basics episode on some more Headmasters like Brainstorm or Hardhead. I really enjoy the Headmaster gimmick and I wish it would get some more love in modern media.

The Legacy figure was my introduction to her existence. Never seen any Japanese exclusive series and checked out of IDW's run pretty early in.

Huh. I know of the character because of her original toy is one of the rarest and most expensive one to find. And from the wrecker comic, but I didn't know she was originally a human with a transtrector body. Pretty cool backstory.
Minerva is my main character in Earth Wars, eventually making her my favorite Transformer.
Despite it's flaws, I'm so happy for the Legacy Minerva figure. Now if only Hasbro/Takara would make Nightbeat and Hosehead to complete the trio.

I wish Minerva could have a comeback in Transformers Cartoons, but of course as human driving a Transector
I prefer the Japanese version of the headmasters. It makes more sense to me and it's basically mecha with both transformers and humans being mech pilots.

Oh I love Minerva. One of the memorable characters for me in Masterforce. I love her personality, and she looks absolutely classy. I wouldn't mind if human Minerva ever reappeared even as cameo. As for TF Minerva, I hope we really get to see her. Other than Ratchet and First Aid, she's such a standout when it comes to the Medical Autobots. Visually, one of my favorite TF designs (especially since she's a female and doesn't have the backpack that plagues a good chunk of them). I love her twin antennas sm💕 such a huge sucker for them. Her legacy figure rocks imo but it sucks that IDW 2 didn't do much with her, hoping that more people got exposed to her character at the very least.
Does anyone else think Minerva’s transtector should’ve been named lifeline or something? Out of curiosity.

I like Masterforce and, of course, Minerva, too.
I know Masterforce isnt for everyone, but as a one off, I think it's a lot of fun. It allows for a character like Minerva thay wouldnt really be possible otherwise.

Talking on the headmaster, i wonder if the current comics pretend to use the concept, particulary with Optimus who was revives by Spike's rather sacrifice (and has side effects on him).
And eventually with Jetfire who was partially revived locked in his alt mode without control of his body, and and only captable to talk and listen.
Could Open the posibility for a new iteration of Minerva.

The Japanese Transformers were truly unique, and I love the anime adaptations.
She's one of few healers in the Transformer Earth Wars mobile game. And that's the first time I've heard of her.
