These episodes aim at introducing the viewer to the aesthetics of Indian Classical Music so as to make the genre more approachable to the common public.
Dear Child, I saw all your episodes at a stretch without getting out of my chair. They are just too good. I really loved your presentation and the fluency in explaining the Indian Classical music. You should design series of episodes for various raag and dos and donts of each raag. WE should preserve our invaluable treasure of Indian Classical music somehow by spreading it and making it more and more interesting for our children and maintain this culture. God Bless you my child.
CZcams has opened up pandora box of so many talented yet generous teachers. Every time I end up encountering such honest work done with pure sense of giving, they are celebrity in my mind. God bless you and keep doing this work. India has both rich heritage as well as bright future because of quality people like you. Thankful..
Even construction noise is no longer a distraction when listening to you discourse! That's how good you can hold the listener's attention. Testament to your teaching skills.
I'm watching you from past 2 days and achieved more and more I found an awesome series of music theory by you a lot of thanks, you are a great personality
I dunno how to thank u..........I am trying to understand classical music as it gives a lot of peace to mind.....and u explain things with such clarity and simplicity....... May God bless u
Thanks Anuja for all the effort you have taken to demystifying Shastriya Sangeet. It is so refreshing to see newer generations take up this beautiful art form and bring it closer to others.
Wow! This is Shammi Bindra ....your diction and narrative are so fantastic...one can listen to each episode again and again. A great teacher artist....thank you
Yes, I enjoy classical music, both Carnatic and Hindustani without any knowledge about them. I enjoyed your Vakra swara very much and your videos are wonderful.
As a student of Hindustani vocals I watch u so much with great appreciation. I notice that so many of the comments are from guys??? Could it be that you are as beautiful, talented, and charming as the music you teach. Yes so true.
I remember going to the nearest music school while I was a kid. There the teacher was sitting and singing 'sa pa sa ga ma ri' blah blah and all students repeating it. . .I know, that's the method of teaching music but at that time I felt very funny and boring about that. I told my mom I am not interested. Now that I see your videos, I realize the mistake I made. If I had studied, although I would not have made into even an amateur singer I would have the theoretical knowledge regarding Carnatic which I find very fascinating and wonderful.. . .Thanks for the videos which atleast gives a glimpse of the one and only wonderfully detailed INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC
Very well explained... this will help people to understand and begin liking classical music. Anuja, you are a great teacher. Help classical music to come out of its secrets and make it transparent. Of course, the listeners also must take the needed effort to remember Raga frameworks and melody. Thanks Anuja for your noble service to classical music.
Nice explaination Anuja Being a scientific field I can not pay attention during service in BARC and now I am retired I want to learn music and understand songs based on ragas. This explaination will help me to learn.
Excellent Anuja. God bless you...You made all the concepts very clear. Looking for more and more videos from you. It would be helpful if you can post videos on representation of notes (like how to write shudh , komal and teerva notes, meend, kan swar, vakra etc), how notes are represented over a time line (laya and taal). Your videos are like a reference book for hindustani classical students... Great going anuja......
Anuja, your videos are just amazing!! Can you please make some videos about raaga performance, like how to learn and understand a raaga and also which are the most important step to take to understand a raaga. I hope it makes sense to you. I really love the way you teach, and I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you so much! peace be with you.
thanku so much for the lovely n informative videos. l mostly play Bollywood music n western classical bt want to learn Indian music.could u explain more about raggs I mean basic rags to start with...
Fantastic videos! Just watched all 14 of them! How about a video comparing the various western scales (major, minor etc) to Indian concept of "scales" (if it exists)?
Excellent inputs, rendition and smile. 🌹🌹🌹Two points to add.. 1.वर्ज्य स्वर may mean that its excluded or is very feeble. 2.when Wadi - Sawandi are in one half part like म and सा, how to decide rag samay. Thanks
