I’d say The Owl House, Amphibia, and Hilda are probably (at the time I’m writing this) the best cartoons currently airing! (I’d also add Infinity Train to that list, but it was cancelled before it could be finished [thanks, AT&T])

I can agree, cartoons are something I really enjoy. I think with new cartoons nowadays the animations (more specifically lip-sync) is done well. Even if the style looks a bit strange, you still have to admit it looks cool.
I like shows such as Gumball or Phineas and Ferb because theres not a direct plot and you can just enjoy it. But shows such as Amphibia and The Owl House have such detailed plots that I really get into :)
Regular show is one of those shows they shouldn’t have put a story in bc it was great just being the No plot giant 80s reference it is
@@typicalghost6930 It reminds me of Spyro the Dragon Remastered, and all those old 90s shows I love so much, even though I wasn't born in that era, which reminds me of the second spiderman film, ahhhhhhh. Classic. I remember when superhero movies were good, but not mainstream... so upsetting that the fantastic four films aren't so well received from, well, anyone! I miss being able to remember the era when I didn't hate the Simpsons too, now it's just too abrupt and silly! Did I tell you how much I love the owl house?
Yeah, my favourite batman comic was the court of owls, I'm so silly! I forgot about how I don't like batman movies anymore, well, besides the Batman, The Dark Knight Returns, and Batman v Superman, and oh! Did I tell you how much I love knock-off lego bootlegs? I really like no way home but Tobey Maguire was barely in it! I love Andrew Garfield! I love squid game but it's dub is trash and Korean is not a language I know or understand also... It was too gory, and the aesthetic didn't match it. I forgot about how I don't like batman movies anymore, well, besides the Batman, The Dark Knight Returns, and Batman v Superman, and oh! I hate the FNF community it's... well I used to love it until bad people got discovered and people are mean and incel mods and I hate them. Did you see the lakers game? It was so weird I wish the raptors won but... It was fun nonetheless, and hey! I got a free hat, hotdog, Comicon bootleg Minifigure, Toby Maguire gold statue, I love mario! He's my favorite character ever. Besides luigi. Its intresting cause to me I like when cartoons have more of a plot it gives you something to get invested it I don't mind a cartoon being episodic but I feel like phineas and ferb knew when to walk away and fairly odd parents and spongebob were not and I hate status quo is god for the most part
I haven't watched the Cuphead show yet, but I really love the style.. I'm probably gonna watch it soon. But what I've seen overall so far, I'm really looking forward to watching it.

Personally I don't think that cartoons are getting worse but I just would love to see more diversity of in cartoons like most of the popular cartoons tend to be adventure fantasy. But honestly I feel like we are starring to see more slice of life casual shows like Cuphead,Goahst and Molly Maggie wich I think is a good thing.
I agree tho i hope there are more story based cartoons so the weebs stop saying "cArtoOns aRe fOr kiDs" since most popular ones are slice of life casual which are great too but for some reason it's "fOr kiDs"
I love the Adventure Time, Amphibia and Owl House stuff so I'm fine with how it is, but I understand where you're coming from.
That genre I just popular because you can do so much with it. Compliments the medium. But there are some good shows showing other genres can take advantage of the limitlnessness that is drawing, like tuca and birdy and bojack horseman.
2022 is a huge year in everything. There are so many great cartoons and movies and video games coming this year. I am looking forward to seeing what we have in store

Cartoon of my favorite show were spongebob, Phineas and ferb, sonic x, the loud house, transformer prime, gravity falls, and more shows that I watched as kid and were the best oh and the cuphead show ITS AMAZING
Thought the Cuphead explanation was excellent, great video. I like that Cuphead had that as an old style feel to it but kept in a few modern details that blended in well. Despite still never playing the game, I was able to get into it easily and had a good time on my first watch. Looking forward to the next set of episodes.

Ok. I just started watching this man yesterday, and now I watch him everyday while playing games cause he’s just, AMAZING to listen too. You gained a new subscriber!
2:22 on the topic of Cuphead, most recently I have revisited the show. I've binge watched the whole season when it first came out. And I only revisited because I heard from a video that I was watching yesterday that the Columbian (Hispanic version) dub wasn't very on par with the original English version. Most notably the intro singing. To me, it was like a downgrade. Cuphead's voice did not match. Only Mugman's, the Devil, and Elder kettle sounded almost identical to the original voice acting. I can't complain much. As you can tell I'm bilingual and the initial intent was to just experience the two versions to see in what ways the show was good and bad from the perspective of other audiences. Also the Japan dub is apparently more decent.
I guess if you watch it in Japanese you can joke about it being an anime then!
From what I understand, the showrunners for Big Nate chose adult over child actors because they had issues with voice acting and comedic timing in their previous shows.
IM SO GLAD YOU DID BIG NATE! I absolutely adore the strips and novels so the fact that they butchered the show so bad… it was hard to watch. BUT HEY, JACK BLACK!

tbh i feel like people today all expect shows to have a "DEEP MEANING" and can't just let them be enjoyable and fun. the cuphead show was a 12/10.
with that said tho fuck fart jokes. the only series that has ever pulled it off successfully was captain underpants.

I don’t really watch most modern cartoons (if you watch and enjoy them, all respect to you)but Smiling Friends definitely caught my attention and is easily one of my all time favorite animated shows. The humor and the Gumball esque mixture of animation styles is 100% on my good side. I do wanna watch Inside Job since it seems like my type of story esque show and that Scott Pilgrim show that was announced not too long ago when it comes out. Also yes GUMBALL MOVIE BOIS!!!!!!!!!!

there's so many shows out this year already. I jumped from smiling friends, to cuphead to proud family (louder and prouder) this year is truly a remarkable time for animated series.
Just wait until some of the other hidden shows that are being worked on are released.
There’s several other story driven shows that haven’t been released to the public yet. The good shows are far from over, it’s only the beginning
I love hilda! the style is so simple, yet it’s so different from other shows style, the animation and story in it is so good! I would watch big city greens if your into not so much lore-ish stuff. there’s really not much context you need, just kind of random adventures.

To me, that cuphead ghost episode was the best in terms of graphics, the stop motion parts sold REALLY well that creepy child movie style, I remembered Coraline when I was watching it

Kid Cosmic is a really good cartoon on Netflix and it's made by the same guy who made the Powerpuff Girls. I highly recommend the show.

The thing about the Big Nate is that in the show the school feels so quiet and empty while in the books it feels fun and alive. It doesn’t feel like big Nate.

Honestly, Big Nate was the very first series of books that I could read anytime, the jokes the drawings, it's really entertaining. But when I found out they were going to make a show for it.. yea 2 seconds in the trailer I could tell it was going to be filled with captain underpants humor, but without everything that made the humor charming.
Fun Fact: Jack Black Appeared In Episode 1 Of Big Nate Season 1 As Brad Gunter.

I watched The Owl House and Amphibia, Amphibia is a whole new thing, The Owl House is basically Gravity Falls Season 3 but the main characters are put in different worlds, Amphibia is Frogs and Toads, The Owl House is a Realm full of weirdness.

My favourite cartoon is Centaurworld, it sort of parodies the oversaturated unfunny crap kids watch, but a lot of people thought it was genuine and used it as an example of those kinds of shows

It kinda feels forced though, now Amity has turned into a one dimensional love intrest.
@@dejus_e I wouldn't necessarily say forced because I think the relationship was developed well considering time restraints. That being said Amity's character was pretty luz-centric for a bit. It was nice in episodes like Thanks To Them and Labyrinth Runners to see her interacting with other characters.
