      I had this installed in my car. Same thing happened to the driver that got the most amount of sun. This is a glue issue and does not happen when the drivers are new or exposed to sun to damage them. I can tell these have gotten sun by the discoloration of the driver. However its an issue with this driver and something that should have been taking care of by the company. Hybrid audio is no longer interested in fixing any of these issues and they are just selling whatever they have left in stock from their past orders. I dont see the HAT lasting much longer as their new owner understands these last order had mayor QC issues. Only good thing they have left is their 2” wideband and their legatia midbass drivers. Their unity midbass surround also has issues when sun heat gets to them

      Both of them are the same. Dirt would affect the response in the lower frequencies as well, but it seems that something is resonating at a specific frequencies.

    Having had the L3SE for a very long time and as well the FaitalPro 3FE22 too, for a long ownership period.
    I can say that HAT are first of all a true gem for the eye.
    They are extreemly well built, the rosewood gold phase plug and the magnet sheild are something nice to look at for sure.
    The inverted surround is a clear install clearance advantage too and push terminals are a nice to have.
    Soundwise? The FP 3FE22 are just as good. Perhaps there is something a bit more clear on the midrange area and the aiming is better towards the L3SE but I can only agree with you that soundwise, there is no real benefit on putting the efforts to purchase the L3SE.
    A very very high recommendation for a truely interesting speaker that I find better than both would be Eletromedia home series - LaVocce 3 inch wideband driver - apx same price as the FP but even more impressive.
    HAT for as much as I am aware were sold by Scott Bewalda recently due to health issues.

    Hi-Fidelity is in the (honest) numbers. Learn which Thiele numbers are important by rank, as there are so many that it gets hard to remember them all. I generally look at about 8-10 of the numbers when purchasing speakers. But by understanding the numbers, you can match speakers and amps, and be confident on the speaker's performance without hearing them. Again, if honest numbers are being provided. And yes, speakers with Thiele numbers that are relatively the same will perform the same. I just think the cheaper speakers would not be able to handle as much power, but I could be wrong.

      I have the neodymium version of the Faital (3FE22) in my A pillars and they sound way better than their price would suggest (once I had done some EQing).
      They play high enough frequency for my ears (I've played in bands for over 20 years, so I definitely cant hear to 20Khz). I'm currently run them 300hz up, but I think I could run them a little lower.
      They are also very very efficient, so I have loads of amp power to spare.

    Well I am just on time 21:29 and you talking about buzzing and clipping. And there is. If you go to the preferencies and check levels, you will see, that if you go more then -12dB there is peak clipping. I was surprised by that as well, but there is that. So you really shouldnt move your signal level above -12dB and if you need more sound out of your speakers, then turn volume on amp more.

    • @RAW-CAt
      @RAW-CAt  Před 3 měsíci

      No, I said the sound is "clip like". The amplifier and the signal generator is not clipping. The faital pro has no problem playing at -1dBFS. Some tones don't clip on the generator, pink noise has to be -3dBFS, multitone has to be -10dBFS. I tested literally everything.

      You're scale and proportion of things is way off base. When you start off with good sounding speakers, sometimes you have to pay 20 times more just to get a small Improvement. You will never ever get 20 times better sound by paying 20 times as much. That's not at all realistic. Think of it like this, a Ferrari may cost five times as much as a Mustang, but it's not ever going to be five times as fast. It will be faster, but not by very much. Same for audio. 👍

So then you might get the $250 speakers and it'll be better, but you might hear someone else's higher end speakers and want those and the next thing you know your buying $500 speakers. Lol.
