For those who can't install mac os because there isn't enough space even after erasing the disk, Open the disk utility and erase the "Macintosh HD - Data" volume as well and it should free up all of the disk space

So I was able to waste the Macintosh data but I can’t erase the Macintosh HD it keeps failing 😩

The new M1 Chip Macbook Air, all you gotta do is, shut down, then hold down the power button until you get a reboot options screen, select system preferences and you’re golden from there!
