  • Stopped into the bank to cash my Christmas bonus check and was not prepared to hear what the bank teller said to me. We are entering into a time where cash is slowly being eliminated. Everyone be prepared! It doesn't hurt to keep cash on hand inside your home safes.

Trudeau is the poster child and a most willing participant of the WEF...along with many cabinet members. And its definitely another ploy to get people away from using cash and going 100% digital. If all money is digital, those in power will limit what you can buy if not outright disallow it, no matter how much digital currency you have in your account.

As soon as you make a deposit into a financial institution, those federal reserve notes, become theirs and they leverage your money to make money for themselves…anywhere from 400% to 1,300% is the percentage the banks make off our money. Bankers are not our friends. They’re our enemies. They’re also the one’s pushing CBDC (central bank digital currency) which will take away our financial privacy (every transaction will be tracked) and it’ll take away our freedoms. Around fifty years ago , I had an uncle that still lived with my grandparents . He was working six days a week and didn't get out of work until after the banks closed . He filled out a deposit slip for several paychecks and had my grandma take them to his bank for deposit . The bank refused to do so , causing him to take time off of work to go in and have a " little chat " with them , at which time he informed them that he wished to close out his accounts as he would be doing business across the street from now on . They had a major fit when they realized how big his accounts were , and started to promise him all kinds of things to stay . He flatly refused and him and Grandma went across the street to the other bank , where he explained the situation and told them exactly what would happen if they refused to accept a deposit brought in by his mother . The second bank never caused any problems .

I worked at a bank for 11 years and by no means am I sticking up or defending the banks. Banks have stats that show approximately how much money they would need on specific days, i.e. when it was pension pay day, banks would have more money on hand. So on the "slow" days, there would be less money on hand and all remaining money would be time locked so they would have no access to it even if they really needed it. I'm sure this response is something you would get if you were to call the branch or the head office about it. I do totally agree with you that people need to keep hearing about all of this as the times are changing and people need to be prepared. They also need to know that we all chose to be here at this specific time of events and we are here to support and love one another and never give up hope and faith.

Also known as CBDC’s, which are being pushed by central (too big to fail) banks. In 1913, bankers were very collusive and corrupt with bribing / blackmailing the Secretary of State to lie to the American people, about state ratification and the 16th amendment, to get their unconstitutional income tax birthed into existence. People who believe they have to pay taxes are knowingly stupid at this point in time. And they’re part of the problem. Local branches seem to handle up to $5k cash fine. It's when you want between $5k and $10k they don't have it in stock. It's like going to an auto parts store and 'we can have that for you by 3pm today from the warehouse'. Banks are contracting their costs and a big one is their over-night FED funds transfer rates/costs, which are rising due to FED interest rate increases. Some retailers that had big cash needs/deposits were being told a surcharge may be put on large cash deposits/withdrawals (like 2% back when interest rates were 2%ish, I suspect those warnings are higher now). It's hard to buy a used car or farm equipment off Craigslist/etc for cash these days because of this situation "can't you buy that with a cashiers check?"; not when you are negotiating a different price than listed after you inspect the item and find unreported issues.

As a former teller during Y2K banks don't have much cash. I'm surprised they even cashed it. I had a lady come in and wanted 10k cash on the spot and there was no way. She had to either order it or go down to the the larger branch that had the central vault. No surprise that she was upset, but it has been this way for years.

My wife’s family is mostly immigrants. They use mostly 100 percent cash. Exclusively. This will be devastating. But you know what as an accountant. I’m for it. More transparency isn’t a bad thing. It’s the corrupt mess that will be hurt the most. And yes this will be felt everywhere.

Start stepping up those regular "rainy day fund" withdrawals, y'all. It's not gonna get any easier any time soon! Get to know your tellers and establish patterns (of legal behavior, of course) that won't result in raised eyebrows. Taking out $250k all at once like the guy you mentioned is NOT the way to go!

@@bensherman8976 True, there shouldn't be in a healthy society. But the WEF muppets don't want you in cash, so they get the central banks to start slowly pushing CBDCs down everyone's throats, and it all starts with cash fees, cash limits, etc.

My little credit union uses a machine, once the system tells it the amount it spits out bills in a pile. No drawers. Not sure if each teller has a machine or if it's one big vault under the counter.
But I recently went to draw some cash out of my account. Part of paying for a new roof and I wanted $8,000. No problem, counted it all out but then did ask me if I wanted to let them know what it was for. I just said work on my house.
Another time I pulled to the drive through and wanted $5,000 and they told me they couldn't do that there, you have to go inside a branch to get more than a couple thousand.

Reminds me of when I cashed a £4.000 bonus in 2001, there was a group of us fellow workers all cashing our bonus cheques at the same time, and I requested it all in £10 notes just for the kicks, I recieved it and the next of our group asked the same but got refused and got it in mixed notes. You see, the bank only carries so much ready cash, it's to deter thieves. They don't all have a stereotypical vault "full o' cash." Sometimes, it's just a drawer or cupboard, and they just shuttle excess cash back and forth via armoured car to the main bank. Then again the American economy is crashing due to overprinting money on promises, the same as in my country.

I have a multitude of bank accounts. City banks and farm banks. Keep my big acct at a farm bank in town of 900 people. Last year I went in to withdraw 8k usd on Xmas eve. They got it out of the vault and didn't bat an eye! I'm a friend of the bank president:)

Or, deposit the check and have some of it handed to you in cash. Then over a period of weeks, withdrawal it incrementally.

The tellers have drawer limits to not expose too much to robbery. Usually, about $5,000. So if your check was $5,000, her drawer is now empty and there are probably 5 or 6 people on lunch break ( I'm sure you came in at lunch, worst time to go to bank) trying to cash or deposit their pay check. So now 6 people have to change lines or wait while the teller shuts her drawer down and go with the Head Teller to the vault to replinish her drawer, meaning the Head zteller will also have to shut down her teller line too. So this has more to do with security and wait time for customer service.
However, yes govt does want checkless society.

I'm a retired retail manager that for years made daily deposits mostly cash. In today's world it is primarily debit cards being used. Banks used the cash deposits to cash checks through the day and now they don't get the cash.

Work at a bank here. We limit how much we have. We do however accept large order requests which we then wait on federal reserve which can take a week. Depends on bank location and what week and such. Could of went after the pick up and got bad timing. Lol happens.

There are many factors at play for banks that don't keep nearly as much cash on hand as they used to. 1. There has been a significant reduction in the use of cash across the USA.... this is somewhat planed buy the government, but also at/for the convenience of everyday people. Direct deposit and debit cards are the "norm" for employers, so dealing in cash is greatly reduced. 2. You don't seem to have an "in-person" relationship with your bank branch. While it isn't a requirement by any means.... if they were more familiar with you in-person, maybe the discussion/transaction might have gone a little smoother. 3. Smaller local branches just don't keep much cash on hand due to logistics and concerns for robbery..... depending on your local, that can be a big concern for them.
While the government certainly wants us to have all our money in the bank and wants to push for more control over cash..... it's not going away anytime soon, and if you plan appropriately, cashing and dealing with larger amounts of cash can be done
