This is a sweet Chipotle Mayo based sauce. In this video I will compare the Real Dave's Sauce as I test taste and create a Copycat Version until it tastes the same.

I've found that adding honey mustard or (honey + mustard) to the recipe sends it to an even higher level. It turns into a chipotle honey mustard that's IMO better than either sauce by itself. Try it!

I'm going to confirm this is spot on. I went to my local Ralphs to find chipotle sauce but they didn't have it. But to my surprise they carry sir kensington's chipotle mayonnaise. It has a lot of Chipotle flavor and is spicy. Tastes like a 50/50 mixture of mayo and chipotle so all you have to do is squirt some of it and keep adding Mayo until you get that perfect creamy flavor. Then add honey. I don't know what my ratios were but I just did it all by taste because I had a packet of Dave's sauce next to me. When I was finished, I couldn't tell the difference between mine and the packet.
I highly recommend getting a bottle of the Chipotle mayo because it makes the recipe even faster. FYI I used Miracle Whip Mayo which ended up being too vinegary. But it's also sweeter so I didn't have add sugar. Next time I'll go with Best Foods mayo and add sugar instead.

Nice! I guess that’s another way you could do it as well.. I got my chipotle sauce can pretty cheap from a Mexican supermarket, but I’ve also seen them sold at Walmart and Target as well. Thanks for sharing! :)

Its close, but not the same as the big container of Daves Sauce we received with our last order of a tray of tenders. The Chipolte sauce gives it a smokey flavor in comparison. I originally tried your clone recipe and used the bottled TacoBell chipolte sauce you can now buy in grocery stores (vs the La Costena) and it's 99% there...

I used miracle whip and a different brand of chipotles? They didn’t come as a sauce I puréed them and it tastes like it’s missing something?

I always felt like it was similar to Zaxby sauce or comeback sauce but it really is a lot like subway’s chipotle sauce

Is there a substitute for chipotle sauce? Or maybe some way to make it?

I think they add pickle juice to the sauce or no?

hey brandon i have a question. I'm from the uk and the only available chipotle sauce is LA COSTENA CHIPOTLE IN ADOBO SAUCE. Is that the same thing? its the same company and tin but on the front it doesnt just say chipotle it says all of that.

Yeah it’s the same, just use the sauce not the peppers in it.

That chipotle is powerful, you don't need that much for so little mayo. What about the color? not the same. Either there's coloring or you missed something. Maybe honey mustard? It knocks out the sugar and the honey you added, and brings in the color. As for flavor, go a little at a time. If it is too mustardy, I'm wrong. maybe a spicy mustard?? hmm??
