For soldiers to operate at their full potential, they need the right equipment. For Special Forces, the unique nature of their missions make the careful selection of weapons and other equipment an even more pertinent concern. These units have access to a wide variety of gear that is not always available to other soldiers.

The 9A-91 was KBP's attempt to make a cheaper version of the AS VAL/VSS Vintorez to be marketed to police instead of 'special forces'. This is similar to KBP making the PP-90M1 as a cheaper alternative to the PP-19 Bizon to also be marketed to police.

Most special forces units usually use Magpul PMAGs instead of STANAGs, because they are supposed to be more reliable
1:51 Please note that whenever a suppressor is attached to a curtain gun it does not mean it cannot be heard, it can still be heard on ranges but made less eerie, and the important thing is that the gas exertion from the suppressor slightly reduces the compression of hot gasses, which in other cases, inflicts with the muzzle velocity. Anything else about suppressor is some sources only to be found on Hollywood movies.
I’m not a gun expert, but I hope this helps if you’re misunderstood about suppressors. I would also like to apologize for my English. I try my best as a commenter.
well it depends a lot about the type of ammo the weapon is firing and the way the weapon was designed

Very interesting video Simple History, keep up the amazing work🎉
Oh this is what I wanted for the last 2 Years... Their loadouts
It says a lot about the effectiveness of the M16/AR platform of weapons when half of the guns include on this list is some variant or modification of it.
I definitely know this is gonna be the Dopest simple history video ever.
Any of these AR platform stanag weapons platforms can feed from a 10, 20, 30, 45, 50 or 60 round magazine or a 50 or 100 round drum magazine.
No subsonic ammo is penetrating body armor.
The corner shot is a good concept but with the correct training it's mostly useless. Most walls don't stop rifle cartridges so they're gonna just shoot through the wall at you anyways since they know where you're standing when you're shooting at them. Most walls are just used for concealment not cover and if you have a pistol stuck out the side of it that eliminates the purpose of concealment. You still have to reload the pistol when you run dry of ammo which makes things more time consuming.
The video was probably referring to 9x39 SP-6, which is technically 'armor-piercing' due to having a hardened penetrator, but it is only rated to defeat soft body armor and 8mm of steel (Level 3 on the Russian GOST armor standard).
I'm more concerned with the fact that they feature the 9A-91 as a 'weapon used by elite forces' because its a cheap copy of the far more prevalent AS VAL/VSS Vintorez and primarily marketed to police rather than special forces like the latter. Its like saying a cheap knock-off pistol is a preferred police service weapon when the Glock or Sig pistol its based off of is used in far greater numbers.
The Sig MCX is a phenomenal gun. If you’re ever in New Hampshire go shoot it at Sig’s public range.
From what I know special units use a bunch of stuff, not just one gun

Never seen a ranger use a scar
Delta Force Operators uses the MCX as well.
Britain has adopted the L403A1 Armalite Rifle made by Knights Arms. This is replacing the L119A2 with SAS use and the Royal Marines. I hope this will fully replace the L85A3 for all British riflemen, being a lefty. Similar to the German Army's G28, sharpshooters use the 7.62mm NATO L129A1 Sharpshooter rifle.
L85 won't be going anywhere any time soon.
Btw for all the gun nerds that dont know the US has officially adopted a custom 6.5mm variant of the MCX as well, now called the SIG SPEAR.
It will be replacing the Colt M4 moving forward. The US is going german it seems as this same program is also going to replace the Beretta sidearm, the M240b squad support gun, explosive for hand and launcher aswell as current "sniper" and anti-material rifles. Even a new smg has been purchased in small numbers to replace the MP-5 and 7 for drivers and crewman.
It's 6.8mm not 6.5mm.
It's not going to replace the M4 though. Plus I've heard that the reception for the Spear was mixed.
@@elahdivad3433 Standard is 6.5creedmore the 6.8x51 is essentially that same round but with hybrid of materials.
You're thinking of 6.8spc which is not the same round at all.
The whole US gun culture started with the German gunmakers back in the 1700s. Your Civil War was fought with these gunmakers making guns for your Continental Army on top of whatever muskets they CA had. Your Pennsylvania Rifle was originally a German hunting rifled musket also.
So if the US wanna go German, I don't see why not? The M60 was built on a German concept from both the MG34 and 42, the Belgians have been selling tons of guns to the US already so it's time the Germans stepped in.
these videos never fail to inform me

Ah thats very important is it. Which Weapons used by Special Forces.

*Sorry brother. We don't use money for this. But thanks for advice. :-)
If you look at pics of ALPHA group (RUS) it seems they still use the AK platform. They often use the AK74, AKM, AK104 and AK103. All with Zentico furniture and western optics like EOTech or Aimpoints.
And use Zenitel optics
@@Gegenfaschisten some do, like the newer Zenitco VZOR-1w, but most FSB Alfa and ZASLON operators seem to prefer western optics. The training and field pics show them running western optics.
It depends on operational requirements tho. Same thing for Navy SEALs.
If you look into a SEAL's locker, they don't have only one weapon but in fact, multiple. Like they have their main rifle which could be an M4 Block II but then have another MP7 in there as another primary or in some cases, the SR025 equivalent of a DMR. It's all up to their preferences.
Same thing goes to the Alpha Group I presume where they'll have multiple weapons in their personal kits to choose from for mission subjective weapons to bring along for their job scope.
So if it's conventional warfare that they're going into, a decked out AK-74M or the 100 series makes sense but if it's s stealth mission, the AS VAL series of weapon makes sense.

Voting on a Unit Video on MACV-SOG, the Joint unconventional warfare task force
My vote is the Mobile Guerrilla Force and/or CIDG. Mobile Guerrilla Force was an American led guerrilla unit comprised of Cambodians from the Civilian Irregular Defense Group that operated deep within enemy territory for weeks at a time.
Resupply was done by using napalm canisters with parachutes attached and dropped from F4 as if they were bombing runs.
Their main job was to hunt down VC basecamps, destroy them, and disappear. To get air support even closer, they would risk getting hit by lying about their coordinates.
During the Blackjack-33 mission, they would notice a build up of supplies and movement that would later become the Tet Offensive.
Check out the Blackjack series by James C. Donahue.

While the corner shot was a great idea and was somewhat used in some missions, if you want to talk about an IDF SF weapon you're probably better off with the new ARAD in the yamam or the tavor micro 9

Funny, that Special Forces weapon is almost never a domestic design. Only handful of countries Special forces are uyilizing their domestic design,
The Ukrainians not only used the MCX but they too love their X95s and their own indigenous rifle, the Malyuk. Not much is known about the Malyuk but alot is known about the Tavor/X95.
After the defeat in 2014, Ukraine was busy prepping to modernize their old arsenal and to not get stuck with just Russian weapons, they went shopping and chanced upon the Tavor. They got the manufacturing rights from IWI and made it under the Fort-224 moniker and started distributing it to Spec Ops forces by 2017.
Due to it's bullpup design, it was easy for Spec Ops to just sling it around and crawl or bash thru obstacles without the gun intruding or protruding that cost them vital time to clear of and with it being that compact, it's easy for them to enter and exit vehicles with and also not compromise velocity with it having the same barrel length of a general assault rifle in a smaller package. With the X95 entering their sights by 2020, it made everything even better as the X95 have a higher ROF and an even more compact sized. Soon Ukrainian SOFs would see themselves use the X95 to great effect besides the new MCX and their even newer Malyuk.
Ah yes... a weapon light is also a barrel muzzle
