Awesome video! This one is for us drummers. I got excited about checking out the new drums as you unpacked them!!! They are beautiful! One of my first drum kits was a white five-piece Pearl set. I love their drums. That snare has got to be the prettiest snare I have ever seen and the kit sounds amazing. An amazing set for one of the best drummers I know of; it is a good match! Enjoy them!

I bought the Decade Maple in gloss deep red burst (8, 10, 12, 14, 16 & 22) about 2 years ago and love the kit. It's sound and appearance is of such a high standard. I seriously don't have any reason to upgrade. I added a Pearl Utility steel snare 14x6.5 but even the maple snare14x5.5 it came with is fantastic.
Someday down the road I'd love to get my hands on one of the Pearl Crystal Beat kits but I gotta say I agree, I think this Decade Maple kit will be my drum-set for many years to come! I had someone asking me about getting the drum-set just yesterday (13, 16, 24) but the 3-piece doesn't come with a snare. Are you digging your Utility snare?!
@@RickyFicarelli The Utility steel snare has that fat crack for heavy metal when tuned high. Plus it's very responsive so rudiments sound great. Sounds good on recordings too.
Hey man, I wanted to ask something? I heard there is something going on with the floor tom due to it having 6 lugs? It seems you have had it for a long time so I wanted to ask if you ever had that issue
@@ultra4488 Never had any issue tuning the floor toms, whether the 14 or 16. Nothing going on with the floor toms besides them having 6 lugs as opposed to 8. Whether pinstripes or emperors, they sound great and are easy to tune.

I JUST BOUGHT PRETTY MUCH THE SAME SET , SAME COLOR BUT ONLY ONE MOUNTED TOM AND THE TWO FLOOR-TOMS IN 16X16 , 18X16 , AND 24 BASS , FOR MY SNARE I'M USING A 90'S LUDWIG COLISEUM 8X14 SLOTTED WHICH TRULY WILL ANNOY THE NEIGHBORS !!!!!

Dude, these sound awesome! I’ve been playing Pearl drums since the 1980s ( which is how old my Export kit is) I definitely want to trade it in at my local music store and get this kit. I’m going with the 24” kick, 13” rack, & 16” floor Tom shell pack kit & adding the 18” floor Tom to the kit. I will be switching the stock heads out for Remo Clear Pinstripes and Ambassadors. I already have Pearl 930 series hardware & pedals along with Zildjian A series cymbals, a 6 1/2 X 14” Pearl Sensitone Elite Steel Shell Snare & a Pearl 8 1/2” X 14” Limited Edition Maple snare to go with this kit.

The 24" Kick comes as a shell pack with the 13" & 16" toms. I picked up the 12" & 18" toms separate! Still love the Decade Maple drums. Just uploaded a new video this afternoon showing off these bad boys! 🤘

I thought you had a commercial with them for a minute. You then started playing your heart out. So.. how tall are you? I am just curious. You enjoy that drum set and play to your hearts content. The music reminded me of the promotional music they use in the car company promo videos like you see here online. 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII comes to mind. You take care sir.

This was a direct order through Pearl but Sweetwater has multiple different sizes for the Decade Maple Series to check out!

Im looking to find a drum kit that sounds good on a 1000$ budget. Maple Shells probably. I just wanna be able to have that good fat snare sound and the general good sound you hear on the drums of bands like Sum 41, Green Day etc. (I really like pop punk, punk, heavy rock). But, because Im a beginner and I only have an electronic drum set I don't know much about acoustic kits.
For example should I invest on a 1000$ drum kit and just use good head and mics or save more money to spend 2-3K dollars for a custom kit?
The setup I want is: snare drum, 1 rack tom, 2 floor toms, hi-hat, 1 ride with a zil bel on top, 2 crashes, one china and one hybrid trash smash.

Man, I gotta save money for that kit. Is it worth buying decade maple? I have a very old Pearl Vision set which has held pretty well over the years. I don't do jam sessions, well I did, but not on my drum set. I might do some after restrictions are lifted, especially since I'm starting college.
i’d certainly say the decade maple is the optimum bang for ur buck! has held up great so far too 🤘 i was rocking an older pearl export for years beforehand, which was also awesome. honestly was just looking to change things up for the sake of changing things up haha
How did you get an 18" floor tom?
pearl is based out of nashville where i live so i contacted them directly! hard to come by but they do make 18" drums for the decade maple series 🥁
