@Bill C-Kole damn right it's like a symphony of horsepower those radials just have such I unique sound almost gives me a hard-on hearing those beautiful machines. 😎👍
Excellent footage. So nice to see propeller driven aircraft whose props actually look like they are propelling the plane. Tired of seeing props that look static or look like strobe effects. Prop wash is one of the beauties and grace of prop driven aircraft. Thank you and God Bless from Florida.
I was there and it was the most fabulous noise I've ever heard. We also had the largest gathering of Rosie the rivers and the largest paratroop drop from a D-C squadron. 79 people jumped and I belive 3 of them were on the Normandy invasion.
Within this group, the AD-1, the Skyraider, carries the most credits as an able ordinance deliverer and low-level killer. Many guys owe their present existence, during Korea, to this bird.
I've been to many airshows over the years and Chino is the best -- by far. I love seeing the old warbirds in the air -- where they belong. I live in Texas now, and one of the things I miss most about SoCal is the Chino show. This and the other vids posted by voodoo shows why.

So many fabulous sounds! But man.... the Tigercat sounds amazing!!!!!
Our country's greatest generation flew birds like these to defend our freedoms. Thank you to them all. May we never forget.
I had the good fortune to attend the airshow, and thanks for reminding me of how wonderful those radials sound! Excellent work!
Today, 8-3-19, "Thunder over Michigan" air show in Ypsilanti had eleven (11) F4U D Corsairs flying together

True....but as a fighter the Sea Fury is the one you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley.

I'm surprised to see the folding wings made back then! I thought it was an invention of later years.

Anyone know the name of the blue colors on the first corsair?...the hellcat and also the Dauntless?
It was the tri color scheme used on all usn aircraft with the exception of the f6f-5, but the f6f-3 still had it, hope this helped
