With the introduction of the optional Passenger Display on the Taycan it reminds me of a navigator in rally racing! Bringing more of the driving experience to the passenger with the use of a display! I’m so glad I discovered your channel - the Taycan will likely be my next vehicle and yours was the only one that went into depth on these features! I want to be able to go see them in person but all my local dealers are completely out of them

Other than looking good with an extra screen instead of piano black panel, how hard is it for the passenger to just select the map or audio 10 inches to the left on the center screen ? If it showed CZcams it would be relevant for my passenger so while I am focused on driving he / she can be entertained.
Can passenger display set always on if no passenger sit on the seat ? Because when I driving alone , the screen show stand by mode

The Burmester audio system and the insulated windows are a must in my configuration.

You made such good info videos on the taycan. Can you make one on the Porsche mobile connect . How to use ? How to optimise it ? Best power out put to have at home? There is very less info on the net on it and as a first time buyer would be good to know it

This is very helpful because Porsche doesn't give much information on this display, and neither do most reviewers of the Taycan. My main purpose for getting the passenger-side display would be for me as the driver, as I'm in the car alone most of the time, and this indicates to me that I can have two different things displayed on the center and right-side screens at the same time -- something that often frustrates me with a single display. A question that I have is: does the night-vision camera display show on either of the two screens at center or right, or does it only display on the driver's curved screen?

@@Pcarwhisperer Thanks for the reply. So you can confirm that if I'm driving without a passenger, I can access the passenger display and set it from the driver seat? It seems to me that the passenger display does not quite "mirror" the center screen (i.e., it only has a few of the same functions, but not all the settings functions).

Very good question! It does not currently support Apple Car Play but I hope it will in the future 👍🏼
need to add the ability to play video thru it while the driver drives...say Netflix or youtube or something or saved video thru the passangers phone. Now that would be a game changer to view media content. Many times the passenger just wants to ah be a passenger so while i drive they can watch something or catch up on media content. Not help me navigate....I can do that on my own. LOL. That said my Cross Turismo on order has it now...just added it. We'll see how it goes!

Great question there is not support at the moment for Netflix or video from iPhone but that is a great idea 👍🏼
I couldn't recommend this $4K option unless you're just maxing specs. My specs are in the Glacier Blue PDLS+, Sport Package, Premium Package, Neptune Blue, 21" Wheels, and some others like Porsche Crests, Blue seat belts, etc.
The passenger display itself is only $1100 US. You don’t have to buy the entire technology package in order to add it.
Quick one... Does the passenger display not activate if a passenger is not sitting in the passenger seat?

What is the correct way to set-up the passenger display in the PCM?
After completing the initial set up of your Porsche Connect account with your car you will have full functionality of the Passenger display! Is there something that is not working correctly?!
Yes. Stays on all the time. I thought it should only come on when passenger sits in car. What do I need to have ticked in display setup?
@@sanjivgupta4274 It can be on when the vehicle is stopped. But in drive it will change to the Taycan logo when no passenger is in the seat.
If that's not happening, see service.
Also you can easily turn off/on/suspend the passenger display by pressing the Power button on lower right of lower center haptic display.

I do have the passenger display option, but how do I turn it on when the passenger is in his seat? All I see is the word Taycan in it.
Hey Bernardo! I apologize for the delay! I made a little video for you! This is how you turn on the screen and keep it on.. or you can tap the Passenger display to take it off of standby mode at anytime! Hope this helps!

Not sold. How hard is it to lean over and use the central display to choose a radio station?
It is a nice feature but no one "needs" it. Most can reach over to the center like we have for the past 70 years. Thought it would be nice to highlight to show the functionality of this new display so consumers can decide if it is something they would like to add to a Taycan!
its apart of the luxury man. Nobody needs a 200k dollar car, but they buy it cause they can. The same goes with this display.

Mann i have a 2021 m550 now. Actually looking to trade it in for this Porshe Taycan 4s all because of those screens.. Im just kind of nervous about switching to EV vehicles 😭
M550 very nice car! What about switching over to EV is making you nervous? Charging stations? Range?
@@Pcarwhisperer yes charging station. Most people i know with EVs has had atleast one problem with the charging where they had to call for assistance. I dont know if its just my area in Atlanta or is it just because EVs are still a new thing

@@ESMorg The range thing is all in your head.....unless...you actually drive over 200 miles routinely in 16hrs and dont have a home charging solution. If yiu can cahrge at home and drive under 200miles per da, tou should be fine. I've had EVs for 3 years now and have only used remote chargers maybe 8 times.

that would be very Annoying to have somebody putting music in My Car while I am driving. Heck No ! can you de activate that possibility (or other functions) for the passenger ?
You can turn off the passenger display from the center console/PCM. You cannot simply limit some functionality.
But, I would assume your passenger would listen to your suggestions on what to do or maybe they should be in the back seat. :-)

Don't have a passenger.. plus that just annoyed me someone over there messing with things..i tried it..I didn't like that at all. To much movement from the passenger. I put my kids in the back.

@@Pcarwhisperer Yes!!! It is so awesome. The passenger screen does look cool though. I wish even if you didn't opt to get the passenger screen, they would've still allowed it to illluminate the startup word Taycan in the space with the option to change the color of the Taycan word with the illumination setting with rest of the car. I would love that!!! Maybe they will think of that in later models.

What is the remote parking option? Is the assisted parking?
Aside from the extra look of the screen, totally not worth it. No statements made really justified the usability of it, especially that “rally driving” type of commentary, which I don’t get at all cause it’s a Taycan. It all comes down to the fact that it does enhance the look of the cabin, so if that’s what you are going for, get it. Otherwise, the main screen is easily usable by both driver and passenger like any other car, no difference whatsoever.
