One of the most underrated songs on the album, BREED was one of the best on the album, Kurt really liked this song. It's one of my favorites and I listen to it all the time. Its heavy drums and heavily distorted bass were very characteristic of this song

I haven't listened to Nevermind in at least 20 years, mainly because the local radio stations play the "hits" from Nevermind ad nauseam. I've had Breed in my head for a couple of weeks, finally had some time to sit down and blast it. I don't care I don't care I don't care and I don't mind I don't mind I don't mind.
This song feels like being young and having your first crush and being filled with nervous energy and excitement. Not caring about anything as long as you get to be with that person ("I don't mind, don't have a mind) mixing up your words ("we can plant a house, we can build a tree"), being afraid but excited at the same time.

There is such a different quality in the level of composing between Cobain and Ghrol. Grohl is funny guy. His songs are pretty..yeah hard rock. but that's it. Cobain's songs are perhaps simpler however IMMORTAL. They have depth and intimacy. They really really get you. You can still listen them today and say Jesus Christ, this is a bomb.
