  • Phase 1 is completed. In Phase 2 I will toss the inline six for a 302. Here is a final look at what it's like with the 6 cylinder and a few final repairs before the winter swap begins.

    I have a 67 sports coupe and have found the handling different to the domestic Falcons of the same year here in Australia. I might try fitting as you have done a larger sway bay. I run Koni Hydraulic shocks all round .

      1" bar is what I used. Larger than that seems to cause excess stress on the mount points.

    That Falcon is awesome!! I wish you'd keep the six just for originality but i understand it's worn out and you want the V8. It must be a trip to drive with manual steering and brakes.

      It drives pretty nicely, actually. I do feel a little guilt about the six but it may have found a home in a Mustang owned by a friend.
