- I'm sure most of you have had tea cakes that your grandmother made. I think I can smell them cooking if I think hard enough. Tea cakes were made often because most people had flour, sugar, eggs, and butter. I did use melted butter but I believe most just use the softened butter. I think the melted make it easier to work with. My daughter, Amy, had a cookie-cutter of the state of Alabama tied to my Christmas present so I used it for these tea cakes. I love it and it's an added bonus that the tea cakes are bigger.

My great-grandmother used to make these all the time. She had a little bit of powdered clove and cinnamon. But they were exactly the same with the melted butter and the eggs and sugar whipped together. Thank you for bringing back such a special memory! Roll Tide. 😊

You're not backwards anymore. The last videos have been right because you can read your T-shirt perfectly! I don't remember my grandmother or mother ever making teacakes. With all that butter, how could they be bad?

My brother told me about your page and I’m hooked. I believe your nephews in Frostproof told him about you. I love love love the fried cabbage and the green beans. Oh I have enjoyed watching this video. These are so different from our English Teacakes which I have just made and set for their first rising.The English Teacake is made with bread flour , dried fruit and spices. It's like a bread bun in shape, sweet and fruity. Keep well and keep baking.❤

Some colors have 4x and 5x sizes that were recently added.
I’m definitely gonna try recipe but aren’t they a cookie because cake is light and fluffy these are much more condensed like a cookie or biscuit
