    Simple and clear explanation of how to safely cut dowels using a router table and bits 👍
    If doing long bits of dowel, then the square ends may not both go against the fence anymore ... therefore I'd suggest only cutting a short section on all four sides first to check roundness before cutting the full length, meaning you don't need to do a second pass.

    so i need a dowel that is 1 and 1/4. is it corect that i need a 5/16 router bit

      Hi, not very good with inches to be honest. The rule is that the router bit needs to be half the size of the dowel that you need.
