Wow! Both of these RC cars are SUPER FAST right out of the box completely Ready To Run (RTR) one even hitting over 50 mph! The Arrma Senton 3S 4X4 BLX is a SCT (Short Course Truck) that is so fast it actually lifts off the ground at higher speeds, and our newest buggy we have is the Arrma Typhon that during our speed test hit 46 mph which is still amazingly fast! Now, it's possible that the Buggy, (Typhon) could be a little quicker at the start, giving it more of a chance at winning the race, or possibly the fact that it seems to have more control on the road so it could drive straighter down the race way. Only one way to find out though, let's put the head to head! The Arrma Senton vs the Arrma Typhon, which one is faster?! Let's Go!

The two vehicles seem evenly matched on speed. Based on previous episodes, they look equally competent in handling too. Having two such vehicles on the market simultaneously is an impressive accomplishment by Arrma.
Thanks for the comparison!! After watching the video a few times, I can say that I am officially NO CLOSER to deciding which one to pick up in the spring.... you have managed to make them both look extremely appealing!
I do like the size of the SCT, it just looks wider. But that buggy looks wickedly cool, and seems really well planted during the speed runs.

I am curious about their durability, how did the buggy handle that impact with the sidewalk/slab at the end of the race? Nothing broken or damaged?

so im wondering do you think the Arma Senton could rockcrawl? I'm deciding between a basher (Senton red rear color), and a crawler (Team Associated 1/10th scale enduro trailrunner RTR, Fire color)

So you leave your batteries charged when not using? Were they lipos? If so did they both have same size batteries in them? I have the senton and highly reccomend.

That was amazing to watch! I would love to run something like these, I do prefer the truck better, but I'm sure there out of my price budget. Besides I'm good with my collection. Two Deadbolts - 10&10ll, broke down got a Ft011 and waiting for my Cajun Commander to arrive.

I have the Typhon. Not sure what your esc is set on but if you set them to level 5 they do wheelies and get a lot more speed. I also increased the breaking 1 step above factory. Nice video.👍

Thanks! Yeah, we do. Just needed to bring more equipment with us to record a better race video. Maybe in future races we'll have more cameras and equipment :-) Phone alarm is a good idea too!

A Cap camera would have helped this video. just take a flat bill cap, use any mount that comes with it and attach, i have one for my Mobius cam and one for my GoPro.

Definitely thought about that. Just didn't think fast enough, lol :-)
I tried using a Mavic Pro "Follow Me" mode with an R/C crawler, and it didn't work very well. When the drone is close enough to the ground to see the truck bigger than just a speck, the drone complains of being too close to the ground. And even up high enough that it didn't complain and as slow as I drive my R/C truck, the truck usually just drove out of frame and the drone would catch up. I never got any usable video. Might be able to get some usable video with one person flying the drone, the other driving an R/C truck. But with a 50 mph truck it would still be difficult to get any usable video. With a slow crawler truck though couple probably get some cool drone video with one person flying the drone, the other driving the truck. I've never been able to try that since I have no R/C buddies to try it with. And really wouldn't trust an inexperienced drone pilot to fly that low with my expensive drone.
whats the minimum alltitude for this Mode?
BASSstarlet: It's been so long ago I tried it that I forget, but it seems like it was about 20 to 25 foot up before it would quit complaining that I was too close to the ground.

Honestly they are BOTH amazing :-) I think it really depends what you like more. They are very similar in many ways, and both Arrma so that's a huge plus! I like the Buggy, and Abby likes the SCT :-)

I've never been able to drive one handed, that's why I use camera tripods and set action cams on the ground. Maybe I could drive one handed if I used a left-handed controller, maybe, but I doubt it. --- I have a new camera toy that should be fun for filming R/C's. I bought it in early 2018 but it wasn't actually ready to ship till just a few weeks ago, and the weather hasn't been good enough to take it out so I haven't even tried it yet. It's a Wiral LITE cable cam! But it still will require me to drive one-handed because the cable cam controller is also R/C. And you can't just use it anywhere, you need to have two sturdy things, like trees or poles, to attach it to. But as soon as we get some decent dry weather I'll take it out and find a place to test it out. Though I may try some time-lapse video first with it, where the camera moves "very slowly" along the cable and you don't need to work it's controller by hand, just set it up and it slowly creeps along the cable.

I just noticed it does not have the camera built in; the user has flexibility to use different cameras. I like that!
Bryan BryanT: It's not a camera itself. You attach your action cam or small DSLR to it. It's a bit expensive in my opinion, though it is real good quality and probably worth the price, but since I backed it on kickstarter I got it about half price.
