Kieran Culkin in season 4 has been incredible. Glad Bill pointed out the weird stuff he does with his body takes it to another level lol. So awkward but I think that’s the part of his character that’s just natural.
I think the scene where the rocket launch explodes is Romans funniest moment and maybe the funniest on the show
Sarah Snook is not given enough screen time to compete with the likes of Jeremy and Brian but she is one of the best actors working today. Her work on Predestination was just brilliant.

Nobody mentions Nan Pierce? The CNN-alternate universe matriarchal version of Logan definitely deserved a draft pick. She was a baller.
I stand with Van on his taking of Shiv! She’s had the most “oh my god her acting” moments for me all season. People wanted her to be some sort of brainiac when really she’s just as flawed as her other two siblings. They subvert expectations with her at every turn and Snook absolutely annihilates everything she’s given.
Taking Gerri ahead of Greg felt like WAY more of a slight
Yeah it's a good point about her subverting expectations. I think people just assumed she was the smart, 'good' one because she had a career as a strategist for liberal politicians. A lot of the audience just think 'Democrats = good; girlboss = good', etc etc etc. A lot of American 'political comedy' too is just 'Republicans are dumb, Democrats are smart and awesome, oops we forgot to do a joke.'
What I think people fail to consider is that the head writer of the show is British, and British satirists aren't gonna pull punches for partisan political reasons. English political satire eg Yes Minister, The Thick Of It, is cynical about the whole machine, regardless of what political 'side', so when they turn their eye to the bloated, ineffectual political consultant/strategist class in America, of course they're gonna portray the characters involved in that work as arrogant, ineffectual shitheads. Jobs like the one Shiv has at the start of the show is the ultimate makework program for the failchildren of the rich and powerful, and Democrats by and large full of shit. Their job is to posture for change they don't really want & stifle any actual progress. Wow what a shock that a former political consultant for that party turns out to be a totally amoral, petty, backbiting loser.
She been the same from the start. She is smart but thinks she is way smarter than she really is and underestimates everyone. She not good and reading people unlike Roman.

Bill won the draft I'd have gone for Logan before I go Roman but he got great value towards the end in the form of Carl, Lady Caroline, Carolina and Colin.
No mention for Nan Pierce or for Rhea Jarrell is wild both were bit part characters but Rhea especially was unbelievably important for that crucial stretch of episodes towards the end of season 2 she was probably my favorite love interest Logan had during the show. Marcia and Hugo were both much higher on my board also.

Romans the GOAT to me, and I’ve got to give props to Kieran for that because so much of his character is subtext shown through his acting. We have little nuggets of things here and there but small things like him looking in the mirror and touching his stomach and suddenly stopping when the girl walked in (Culkin referenced that Roman likely has and ED) The way his chin drops and shoulders rise up whenever he’s in conflict with his dad, before the reveal of the physical abuse from Logan etc.
This draft is the intellectual and artistic equivalent of looking at the Mona Lisa and drafting your favorite colors that Da Vinci used in the painting.
As a Celtics fan hearing Bill make the Gerri as Marcus Smart call was my favorite part of the video till this comment 😂😂

We're in 2023, and these guys still dont see that Slim Charles is the clear cut #1 pick.
Avon screwed up with how he handled Dee, Marlo, struggling to find a connect, and went back in because he had to in the room WITH GUNS as the #1 guy, even though he had a feeling String wasnt the String anymore
Bill and Charles pick String - the guy who got swindled by clay, broke the Sunday truce, ratted on his day one, and clipped by two guys he tried to play.
Slim went from a soldier, to Avons #2, to a soldier with Prop Joe, to the guy who cleared Cheese's tab with the co-op. All under the radar; close enough to the top to have a voice, but not so close to be the target. How many west siders had enough juice to switch sides when avon went back in? Only Slim Charles, because everyone knew he played the game the right way. And he looked out for Cutty, Brodie, etc.

Bill definitely won. So many value picks with Lady Caroline, Karl, and the grim reaper.
Caroline is a complete unhinged savage and Karl has some bangers, definitely wins the Dion Waiter Award for the show.

My game plan from the #2 would've been Kendall/Logan R1, then you might reach a bit for Tom R2 to set up Shiv/Greg R3. You get a star player and a killer two man game with the next two. Hugo is a great role player, he's got that dog in him for sure.
Hugo went way too low, Marcia and Carl were also excellent gets.
Rhea Jarrell deserved to so much more praise she's a bit character who takes centre stage for a crucial stretch of the show towards the end of season 2
I can't believe how far grandpa ewan fell in this, his batting average was INSANELY high, and his speech at Logan's funeral was one of the best moments of the whole show.

Matsson, Greg and Stewie were underrated in this draft. Shiv can be annoying and wishy washy but relationship with her husband Tom , another rival for power, clouds her situation

Dude on the right has some WACK takes. That Roman take is terrible + critiquing Shiv’s character about not “being the killer” when that’s literally the point of her character. She has a chip on her shoulder because of Logan’s mistreatment of her/women as a whole, she’s trying to bite more than she can chew and see if she can digest it later.
