Great job Marrianne and Nick for being a great teacher. Tristan might have his yacht master series, but Nick showed us you don't need a captain's license unlimited to teach someone how to dock a boat. Lol. You two are both the wind beneath each other's wings

well done Marianne! Driving a boat at cruising speed is easy but notoriously difficult when coming into a berth at slow speeds, especially with a wind or current and u nailed it. Slow and steady does the job and Nicks positive encouragement helps too

You may be surprised to hear that sweetcorn comes out of your body in the same form as you ate it...that's why its good for your bowel (roughage). Enough detail!
Love the drone shots with the train running through....I am so envious Nick, I would love to be there right now. So many lovely destinations within easy reach - Salcombe, Helford, Fowey, then Fal Estuary, River Yealm to name a few favourites.
You can see why the tide rattles through Noss, as the river narrows there clearly seen by drone.
There is a lovely house for sale near the top of the hill at Kingswear, which would suit me down to the ground.....shame about the price though!
The video epitomised how relaxing boating truly is.....weight-off!

These prolonged strong North Easterly winds have been a right pain to those of us that keep our boats in Poole. We have the harbour . Like you have the river but bumpy out off Studland. Look forward to more videos from both of you.

My Mother, was a very good boat driver, when I was in my tweens and teens.

What a lovely afternoon and evening! I haven't been everywhere, but I think there must be few waterways more beautiful than the River Dart in fine weather (although I'm quite partial to San Francisco Bay and environs, where some of my formative boating was done). Moving SB2 to the Dart from Torquay seems like a big win, despite the longer drive.
Ok Nick couple problems in the video, when consuming corn on the cob you must take a piece of bread butter it heavily then roll your corn in it to cover it with butter. Next sprinkle with salt or Tajin to taste. You can find Tajin next time you are in florida, a chilli lime seasoning. Next hopefully you only put ketchup on the potatoes, next try mayonaise. Third , now I understand why you wear the life jacket, here we dont let the women folk drive the boat. LOL dont let Marianne read this.

Slather on the butter,and lightly salt the corn for a summer/fall feast.The rest of the year is frozen already off the cob,and that takes 1/2 the fun away.It's a pleasure watching you 2 enjoy your ship.Marianne's showing quite the skills at the wheel now.When you're in your dotage,she'll be glad to take you to sea Nick.Bringing you back though... ;)

While the “Life Styles of The Rich And Famous” (cue Robin Leach) is really cool, it’s also cool for some of us plebeians (Me) to see what “normalcy” looks like too. There is something humbling about you two and it’s a good thing.

Nick sweet corn with butter and black pepper delicious how could you not like it. One thing I like is that you and your crew always ware lifejackets when on board I do the same but I like sailing better aldo I started my boating life with my father on a coronet explorer back in the 1960s but when I experienced sailing that was it and am still sailing in my 70s. I enjoy your posts and the banter between you and Mariann.

I'm glad you are comfortable and happy, but we are polar opposites. For me, a yacht is a hotel suite in port and a first class seat between ports. I would enjoy being out on the water as we journey to the next destination and exploring the bars, restaurants and theaters in and around that destination, but I could never just sit on the boat in port and relax. My mind would melt.
I'm very sorry to hear that, and so glad that we can just switch off and be...
What a delightful time, the perfect way to unwind (while I'm sitting in my office surrounded by paperwork, (not at all jealous really!)) Lol.
I'm definitely investing in my own hole in the sea (if I ever do get the time to retire).

Did you eat the Alien Sweetcorn Nick... did you? my spidey senses spotted 2 pieces on each plate and 2 pieces left over with one stem on each plate.... So as well as 'it was the butler in the library with a knife' we can add a cluedo clue of 'it was Marianne and Nick made an impression like he swallowed a wasp and didnt eat it.'
