It’s even worse when you realize that the half-decent Nick sitcoms (notably 100 Things to do Before High School) end up getting cancelled after only a few seasons.
"100 things" didn't even get a few seasons. It only had 1 season before it was axed.
Sheen was a lot less annoying in Jimmy neutron. He was just sort of a weird kid, but still a good friend to Jimmy and Carl. But in planet Sheen the writers threw all that out the window.
he wasn’t as annoying because he wasnt taking up all of the screen time and the focus wasn’t on him. it was on Jimmy, whose a much more likable character
Nick sitcoms are bad, but disney sitcoms are far worse

mighty med is a complete rip-off of pair of kings (and that show is pretty good) downright to the sound and music. and Gamer's Guide is just another cheap sitcom whit GAMES, becouse every kid ever likes games.
sitcoms overall are lazy and cheap, if you want a good sitcom watch big bang theory, it might interest you.

If you ask me, the reason Planet Sheen sucked is simple. Sheen was funny on the Jimmy Neutron show, but only because he was playing off the other characters. When you take those characters away, comic relief characters like Sheen lose their appeal. That’s, in a nutshell, why you DON’T give comic relief characters their own show.
I wish the creators of the Patrick Show knew this

Honestly if nick did a spin-off show that focused on Hugh it might’ve work. As long as the show didn’t have the same writing as planet sheen and included most of the jimmy neutron characters, it could work. Or at the very least create small shorts that focused on Hugh the same way jimmy neutron started before he got his own show. I could think of some fun ideas for Hugh, like maybe making h8m dream of being a super hero, where every person in town were ducks instead of actual people

Some the show's designs were pretty hell up because some of the designs that Nickelodeon did were not good at work I think Nickelodeon were to do better designing for Nickelodeon cartoons
Here's the most crazy part about AwesomenessTV. Just like Breadwinners and Fred, it was actually based of a CZcams channel owned by DreamWorksTV, well, it was until the brand was sold to Viacom during Comcast's acquirement of DreamWorks, but still, why do so many networks create shows based on content from CZcams?
Because they think popular youtube channels would entice their viewers to watch these tv shows

Unpopular opinion: Fred's youtube channel, back in the day, wasn't that bad. Part of what I felt like made it work was that we weren't given a face to Kevin, Judy, or Fred's mom. It left a lot to the imagination and we could imagine what these characters were like based on Fred's reaction to them being offscreen. Nickelodeon basically lifted that veil and turned the obnoxiousness up to 11. They should have stopped at the first Fred movie, and left it at that.
Cartoon Network: We have improved our understanding of things and have made our shows have more diversity for those that don't fit the standard mold.
Disney Channel: Despite bad sitcoms: Our cartoons have amazing storylines and characters.
Nickelodeon: Haha spongebob go brr

I did actually get back and touch with this kid! He moved back into my school district when we started high school (we’re now going to college) and while he was very embarrassed when I brought this up, we both still agree with what he said. Even though I’m not super close to him now, we have mutual friends and everyone is excited as hell for the reboot. And by the way, yes, these replies are how I found that out as quickly as I did. I’m glad everyone appreciated this as much as I did, even now.

Avatar The Last Airbender is up there with Dragonball Z. SpongeBob is iconic and Invader Zim, Drake And Josh, Rugrats, Ren And Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life are other iconic classics

Being honest, Sheen was my favorite character in the Jimmy Neutron show, since he was like me as a kid, but even I knew he was better in small doses. It’s like the Cleveland Show or The Book of Boba Fett, they are giving series to characters that aren’t able to carry entire shows for themselves.

They really chose Fanboy and Chum Chum over Adventure Time. Nickelodeon screwed up HARD on that one.
EDIT: I keep hearing that some people like Fanboy and Chum Chum and prefer it over Adventure Time. Fine. Okay. I got it. But regardless, Adventure Time was a huge success and that could have really helped out Nickelodeon, especially nowadays.

Episodes: 8 (some episodes like the finale and a couple of episodes on Strider’s list of worst AT episodes, but most episodes of the show make it deserving of its reputation as one of the greatest CN shows)
Characters: 9 (Marceline and Bubblegum are so epic they were high on the list of “Top 10 Most Powerful Animated Women”)
Music: 10 (Never stop with the autotune, Shada!)

Animation: 3 (if AniMat couldn’t bear the childishly over-the-top animation of some of the SPA films like the HT trilogy and Cloudy duology, then he should be lucky it’s not a Nicktoon like THIS!!!!!! Although, admittedly, it does have appealing title cards with their 2D art work which shows that despite looking like they came from Fleabag Monkeyface in 3D, they actually have a nostalgically appealing transition to 2D)
Episodes: 2 (when they’re good, they’re at least passable. But when they’re bad, to consider them the worst episodes in television history would be an understatement)
Characters: 3 (like the episodes, the better characters are harmless but not given a chance to be some of the best because the main characters Fanboy and Chum-Chum were completely responsible of turning the more minor characters into punching bags, some even turning out even halfway likeable, like Boog and Kyle)
Soundtrack: 0 (no explanation needed, though if there is just one soundtrack worse than the rest, it HAS to be the theme song!!!!)
*2/10 (Unbearable, but sometimes not so much like in Season 2 compared to the only other season)*

Actually, it was a good thing to mess up with FanBoy and Chum Chum because a few years later, Cartoon Network handled Adventure Time great! I think CN did it better than Nick would.
It's hard of everybody ridiculing Fanboy and Chum Chum yes season 1 was not good but at least the the later seasons learned from that mistake some of the episodes are what I call comedy but everybody just remembers it for the annoying first season maybe stop listening to those CZcamsrs and watch it
After iCarly finished the other sitcoms never stood a chance.

I remember an episode of My Wife and Kids where Junior(Michael's 16 year old son) tricked Cady(his 5 year old sister) into thinking he got her nose because she messed with his CD's and threatened to put her nose into the garbage disposal. That is until Michael tricked Junior into thinking he got his ears by moving his mouth and not saying anything. It's crazy how one joke is funnier than the whole episode of Fanboy and Chum Chum's "Pick a Nose".

To be fair, Fred was extremely popular on YT at the time among the demo that would've been watching Nick. But even poor Lucas has said that he was kinda over being just Fred, and was ready to move on by the time it was cancelled. He's nearing 30 now, so as a 17-18 year old when this was airing, he really was feeling tired of it. Now he's got his own little commentary channel, and I'm so glad he's been able to grow up into a normalish healthy adult and didn't fall into controversy like a lot of Nick?Disney?CZcamsrs of that era did.
Honestly the “Torching the audience every time they changed set” joke was better than every joke in these terrible shows combined.

It's funny networks think children want obnoxious and loud. I vaguely remember being severely annoyed with Fred the show that I would always go to CN and stay on there until I got bored.
If the Nickelodeon executives were dumb enough to choose Fanboy And Chum Chum over Adventure time, then they probably would have ruined Adventure Time. So at least we have something to be thankful for.

I actually watched the majority of the shows on this list like planet sheen, talia in the kitchen, Henry danger, pig goat banana cricket, fanboy and chum chum, bread winners, and Fred the show and I actually enjoyed watching these shows as a kid, but now that I’m older I’m surprised how I even managed to even watch these shows

Well granted it as he said, It wasn't like anything else on nickelodeon at the time, but like I said, the robot one scared me as a kid, and the one with the tapeworm did not help me years later. I was a odd child and I was scared by many things. Now I enjoy the darker more mature entertainment, but I still love zany comedy XD.
The only reason why Nickelodeon is still alive is bc they have one show that is the best show ever made on Nickelodeon. (SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS). Sadly are amazing creator of SPONGEBOB has passed away.

@spideylq31 No, it’s not on this list and the Loud House made a big success. If you search up on google, Loud House was one of the modt popular shows on Nickelodeon. It even became a mascot of Nickelodeon.
Breadwinners was so bad, that one of the animators of the show left it to work on Cuphead, which obviously looks a lot better from this thing and has no butt shaking.

I think that now that 6 years have flown by, Nickelodeon has gone from good ratings, to bad ratings, to good rating again. Because now have new spongebob episodes and spin-offs, the loud house and the casagrandes, reruns of Icarly on teen nick, reruns of Harvey beaks on nick toons, and a full fledged reboot of teenage mutant ninja turtles. So in conclusion, I’m glad Nickelodeon is back in competition with Cartoon Network.
