We found a sand bar in a river that we couldn't resist to go play on. I almost flipped the airplane as i got a little too slow waterskiing into the sand bar with my bush wheels.
We all went swimming and it was awesome!

Amazing video. I am retiring soon and I am actively pursing my pilots license, a childhood dream. I am learning around a Class B airspace but WTF. I watch this video and realize THIS is aviation. I can't imagine anything like this. Cowboys of the sky for sure. Love it keep 'em coming.

Don't be so sure. If you're rural and [try to] stay 500 feet away from anyone who is not a willing participant, you might be surprised what is technically okay, especially for "experimental" airplanes registered as "home-built" or "exhibition" or "racing", because the pilot needs to practice, practice, practice wild, crazy, extreme maneuvers to stay in practice before they go actually display them at a [real or theoretical] airshow someday.
....and this is how you wash the tires on these bush planes!

Or make the point occasionally that you use a written checklist for the preflight you do before every departure. You’ve got a lot of potential new pilots saying “I want to do that!” after watching. Flying, especially off-airport flying, is enough of an adventure without the “Engine running a little hot” or “out of gas” moments on a regular basis.

Here's my take on Oshkosh 2019. I wish I could have flown my airplane with the FlyingCowboys on the trip out to Oshkosh and back from Oshkosh. How about Oshkosh? Seriously. *Who needs Oshkosh?* Bush, Backcountry, Low&Slow flying is better than any organized event ever could be. That's what flying is all about. BTW, not kidding.

Not to sound like a buzzkill but I hope you guys do a good power line and cable obstacle inspection before you pick a chunk of river to have fun on.
We are always looking and letting each other know when we spot lines. And do our best to check it out before we jump down low.
