I got to meet and visit with Jonas when he stopped in Lincoln. Turns out he isn't just a talented bush pilot/vloger/professional cinematographer/designer/fabricator/pro skier, but also just a straight up good guy as well. It's not fair for one guy to have that much going for himself!

When I last visited Lincoln, Nebraska in 1963, it was a SAC Base. When we exited the transport (C-124 or C-97, can't remember which, made the trip several times) the base was full of B-47s, loaded, if you get my drift. Armed guards everywhere. You went where they told you, when they told you. They brooked no nonsense. Absolutely no sense of humor. Thankfully, we didn't stay long. Thanks for the memories.

There's gotta be a joke in there somewhere about blowing an engine, then five Flying Cowboys drop in to film it for the world before flying away (ok, I know you made sure he was set with everything needed). Had to come back to this video to see the great close ups on Draco. I can’t believe he crashed, but it’s good to hear that Patey is all right. Absolute fan of your videos. Would love to get my pilots license.
Stopped at the FAA booth at the Reno Air Races. They said you only need 20--25 hours of instruction/flight time and a drivers license to fly an expermental.

Jonas, I am writing to you because I know you still read most of these, I don’t know about everyone else but I am tired of seeing and hearing about Draco 🤭 all over CZcams. They use that plane as click bait. I’d rather hear your story and about the little guys. You know people who didn’t spend millions of dollars on a plane. Most of the people who watch CZcams don’t have millions of dollars and watch because they want to do what you do. Thank you and please let your buddies in the flying cowboys know.

@@JonasMarcinko Thanks for the response. I am an aerospace engineer and have gotten addicted to your youtube sight. The extra HP must have been why it threw a rod. You ever drawn up your designs in a CAD program? It saves a lot of time and trial and error like you were doing with your landing gear.

Draco's plane is a bush plane on steriods with huge monster shocks. Jaw dropping plane. Saw it at the Reno Air Races. Edit: RIP I left on Saturday and didn't know about it until I read the comments on here. I hope he rebuilds it.
