Low and slow home from Oshkosh, we flew by MT Rushmore with our kitfox bush airplane. It was really awesome to see Mount Rushmore from the air. Jason broke his header tube in his Rans s6 Coyote. Steve Henry and his Yeehaw 7 Highlander, Cory Robin and his Ghost Carbon cub, Kevin Quinn and his Carbon cub, Hal stockman with his Rans s7, and Trent Palmer with his freedom fox. and one awesome Cessna 180. It was the most awesome cross country trip I have ever done in my airplane!

Hey guys! I need to take a break on the editing. 😵 And, I need to keep building my plane! So I’m going to skip a week. but we’ll be back!
Thanks for the support!
Excellent video! So much fun
Those flies are awful. Reminds me of a Time when one of my girlfriends and I decided to jump into a lake in Michigan. It had a sign that said swim at your own risk. I thought well I'm a pretty strong swimmer so what the hell. We felt some weird biting in the water. I thought it was little minnows. We swam out to the buoy and then came back. When we got out of the water we were covered in leeches and had to pull them all off each other. It was very disturbing. Later that day when I check the GPS the name of the lake was Leech Lake. 😑
77Avadon77 omg that sounds terrible! but a good story! Lol leech lake.
77Avadon77 I would have done the same thing!
@@JonasMarcinko yes apparently when using the Garmin GPS it pays to zoom out so you can see the titles of bodies of water LOL otherwise a very inviting Lake on a map is too good to turn up. After we got out we realized why the sign said swim at your own risk and why nobody else was swimming. LOL the worst thing is pulling those leashes off of you because when you pull them off they stick to your hands, you really have to fling them to get them off. But such are the things of Great Adventures. I can tell by your videos you're not only a great pilot but a great editor. These types of videos take a lot of planning
Thanks so much for taking me along on your adventure
The shots of the diesel truck on the dirt road were amazing.
Jonas, Silvija, I say to you! Water town, gopher hole, that thing that sticks out,it's a pipe, always ready, flies, and right now right now! I did not know one could become addicted to a guy flying around with a sweet pretty girl in a airplane, but I did! For 13 minutes and 27 seconds your audience were glued to the screen! That music, your buddies landing, flying in and out of some great scenery, set the mood for your followers! Can't wait till the next one!
That’s a lot of flying... she handled it like an absolute champion.
"Are you ready? Oh yes, Im ready, always ready!" Thats a copilot!! Great video Jonas! thanks for sharing and keep it up!
Deer flies. And they have an unforgettable bite.
Yup, worse than horseflies. They're unmistakable in appearance. I think that "spring water" was actually from a drainage tile for the field. Farmers use tiles to drain excess water off their fields for soil conservation.
Deer flies, but where I live horse flies hurt way more and are much bigger. Then there is the buffalo fly bigger yet.
@@totallyjonesin True. And most of the time they (deer flies) sneak up and bite without feeling them land.
@@totallyjonesin I love killin all those kinds of flies on my horses... sometimes one of my horses will come over to me and move over so i can kill a horsefly on him....its a bloody mess . . Mate....lol
Definitely deer flies. Especially since they will chase you for as long as you run. They don't give up.
Amazing video. First off, flying with Hal is like wrapping yourself in a warm, fluffy security blanket. You just feel safe cause he can fix anything. Second, I love when you are flying over the lake and you talk about landing and hiking in. Fat tire flying at its best. Thanks for taking us along. YOU ROCK!
Its encouraging to see the support lended to the experimental pilot community with help for your radiator cap issue and the various spontaneous landings all of your group had to endure. Thank you for documenting the trip.
Perfect... I am glad to see you having good time and sharing it with us. Thankyou Jonas and Sylvija! #BestVlogger!!!
Such an awesome adventure. Thanks for sharing it with us, Jonas!
Ultimate safety feature having an angel as your copilot. Really enjoy your videos thanks for taking me with you, keep up the good work!
The video and the music really matched great job, thumbs up" to infinity and beyond ".
Jonas and Sylvia. Please don't let this end. More adventures, hot springs, camping at that strip in Utah etc. You Inspire me to do it too.
1973 I had been working at Ft. Meade near Sturgis for a week and got a Frontier flight back to Denver in a Convair 580 (50 seat twin turboprop). The pilots did a flyby of Mt. Rushmore for each side of the plane to see a lot closer than you guys got. We were all thrilled. I hoped they still had their tickets after we got to Denver. Great sight! Great video!
LOL you two running from the Killer fly's reminds me of early Steven King movies.
And I gotta say them two girls bring out the best of you and Trent nice work there.
Thanks for sharing your 'Great Big Adventure'.
Still the best VLOG from within your group of 'low and slow to Oshkosh'. The camera work, wide range of angles of view, the action portrayed and editing all come together for an excellent visual experience. Congratulations.
Totally excellent video man!! You're killing it! You better hang on to that girl, she's pretty amazing
How to waterproof a small airplane. "A simple waterproof cover over canopy"! Great advice from my dad, who restored aircraft including a 1942 L4 Piper Cub and a 1929 Brunner Winkle Bird biplane and a pilot of 65 years.
Josi Atokirina I definitely need to get one!
@@JonasMarcinko The Kitfox issue is, as I recall from my model 1 anyway, is the windshield dumps water underneath the boot cowl, it doesn't overlap the boot cowl! ANY water hitting the windshield will end up inside pretty much.
portnuefflyer yeah exactly! :/
Fun to watch. Mt Rushmore, landing on dirt roads, pretty high mountains near end. Thanks for sharing.
You two are such a great couple. Loved all your videos.
Great film Jonas, and love all that country...
Great video. Beautiful country (especially loved Mt. Rushmore). Beautiful people. Great editing. Epic trip. Thanks for sharing.
Cute couple and the running from the flies was hilarious.....!
Sweet shot of Rushmore & the antelope. Thanks for sharing.
The segment between 6:55 min and 9:36 is epic! The musical accompaniment to "Real Good Feeling" really gets the toes to tapping. You have a real talent for composition. Please keep it up.
Jonas, you have a gift of editing. Vids always look great, sync with music perfectly and keep viewer interested the whole time. As usual, great vid!
Labas! Silvija, nice to see my Lithuanian heritage so well represented
Thanks guys, I really enjoy watching your Plane trips.
Jonas your editing is off the hook. Grabs you and doesn't let go til the end. Thank you! Rest up! Looking forward to everything you put up!
Very nice edit. Its cool to see the same story from everyone's perspective from all the channels.
In the south those flies are called Yellow Flies! They will bite the piss out of you! Never seen that many in one spot though. Enjoyed this series of videos. You my friend are living the dream! Keep up the great work Jonas!!
Thanks Joe!
What an amazing way to see the county! So much more to see than FL340 with the FMC on. Thank you for sharing!
Always great content, never fails. Keep on keepin on and keep it in the air 🤙🏼💪🏼🇺🇸
Чувак, очень крутые видео!!
Часто включаю твой канал за завтраком и заряжаюсь позитивом на весь день!
СПАСИБО!!!
From Russia with love!!!
I've been out of flying for 12 yrs but you have me wanting to get back in it! Nice vids!
Well that was epic! I really enjoyed watching this adventure. Oh and I'm old and my hearing isn't what it used to be but I didn't find the background music too loud....actually enjoyed it. So Thanks Jonas & Silvija for a fun ride :0)
Awesome video! So good to see you two happy😊
Her smile is insane. Geez.
Music was on point! Video was great as usual...
Great scenery - thanks for letting us tag along!
What an epic trip! Great videos Jonas! And it was really cool to meet you briefly at OSH before you went to get Silvija.
Adventure , excitement , and a captivating smile . I subscribed .
LOVE your channel and can't wait to buy a plane and bush fly!
Thanks! Would be cool to give you some pointers when you get flying!
Saw you at Airventure 2019, Flew up from Abilene Texas in my 1965 Cessna 150E. Great video!
What a really awesome trip! Loved coming along.
Mt Rushmore was not quite like it was in 'North By NorthWest', but it was much more fun seeing the two of you do it from the air. Go you two crazy people!
Great videos! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. Makes me want to finish my training and get my certificate!
Me, trying to explain what a header tube is to me girlfriend too haha
Good Luck
Kyle Nelson This is what you get from women who’s only focus in life is their looks.
Totally dig seeing America from your point of view, couldn't help thinking massive herds used to roam those lands at one time. Excellent vids, excellent adventures, thanks!
Отличный канал, отличные ребята и лучший джип! Great channel, great guys and the best jeep!
Thanks for sharing the great trip. Awesome land and footage.
I love how she is always smiling. She is a keeper for sure
Great footage and awesome editing thanks for taking us along.
Jonas, I really enjoy these videos, epic shots sir, and Silvija is a gem. I hope to get (build?) my own bush plane someday, currently working on instrument.
you are so lucky living in such a country which allows you to do this
This is quickly becoming my favorite channel on CZcams. That looks like so much fun.
Normally I dont like the music because having to adjust the volume , because it's loud than the talking; but man I really like that song around the 7-minute mark. Nice video.
Finally..."several weeks later..." Great ending on a great trip. Thank you, Jonas (and Silvija, too)
So? What's the rush?
@@james1795 I was being sarcastic. Thx :P
@@armandutan5901 Ha! Ok. Got ya'.
very fun to look at. freedom. she makes it alot better, perfect .
Great show folks. I might have to get a bush plane. They make the Zenith just 30 miles east of here. Maybe I can get Santa to put one in my stocking near the hearth. Yeah, that's it. Take care folks and be safe. Vaughn
You two are having way too much fun. It's got to be illegal! Thanks for sharing the journey. Now like Mike Patey says all the time...time to get to work! (Building that plane.) Cheers from Winnipeg.
These are some of the most well put together videos I have ever seen. This is amazing. I am about to start flight school too and this is getting me pumped
So cool watching you guys fly through my home state
Fabulous video and music, really terrific job well done
Omg Bro, this Lady is an Diamant. So nice to watch us.. :)
Love all your vids.. Very nice couple. I wish you guys good health and Happiness..
Really enjoyed seeing the trip from your perspective. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos! They are so inspiring and help me to stay motivated on my Zenith 750 Cruzer build! Eventually I'll build the STOL version so I can fly with the Flying Cowboys! ;D Keep it up!
So beautiful to watch!
Nice work, great footage and editing. You’re rocking it Jonas. I’m not used to all this low level flying but it’s beautiful. I’m almost never below 3000 ft and generally above 5k since options for landing the Mooney w/o damage are relatively scarce.
great music great editing. best channel on you tube hands down
Good lord, flying and Silvija!
Geology nerds will love some of that terrain, some cool stuff there.
Great video Jonas! I noticed that you fly with IFly, I've been using it for about five years now and love how easy and intuitive it is . Glad to see Silvija on the controls. I believe anyone flying with you on a regular basis needs to know basic maneuvers to get down as safe as possible in case your incapacitated.
Yes it’s a great GPS unit! And I totally agree. I said the exact same thing to her, to get her to start learning. I’ll probably have a video out about teaching her to fly.
Very cool video, thanks for sharing, really enjoyed it from here in South Africa
These planes and that type of flying looks like a blast.
Looked like horseflies - they suck! Like mosquitos, only they hurt, and your skin puffs up about the size of a quarter where they bite. They like warm, moving bodies - will drive you nuts, as you probably realized, lol. We've got them up here in MA, too, only a bit smaller. They bounce off the top of my head as I mow the lawn with a zero turn. Seems the faster you go, the more relentless they become!
AWESOME vid, Jonas! It's not often I get to see the West, and nothing beats seeing it from the air at low altitude. Been great watching all you guy's videos! THANKS!! 😎👍👍🍻
Silvija just makes everything better on an already great channel. looks like she got some stick time on that trip too ! Great work Jonas. Keep the videos coming.
"Some stick time"
Love the music !!!! " Oh The Larceny "
Great video you two, killer flys and all. Well done 🤠
Looks like so much fun Loved this video. Also great video production on this
Looked like a great time. It was far different then my trip back from Osh in the Mooney. But that’s the best thing about aviation. So many ways to do it.
Great video, I love your stuff. You're so funny!
Glad you got to make the trip with the Flying Cowboys! Thanks for sharing!
Just came across your channel, absolutely amazing stuff! Bingewatching all your videos now:)
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoy it!
You guys are just so amazing
Whatever you do Jonas, don't let that woman get away. She's a keeper!!!
Liked your edits , loved the music , IMO they were in sync. You and Silvija make a good looking item.
You videos are bad ass. Your killing it!
The FLIES!!!! NOOOOO!!! hahaha so good bro. Nice finish.. Loved it.
Great job ya,ll !!, relaxing in my recliner all day enjoying your videos ☆☆☆☆☆☆
Awesome 😎 glad you like them!!
Very cool video the landscapes are amazing.
Yep...this is the vid that made me subscribe. You're a great flier. Amazing trip. And yeah...like the others...Silvija is fantastic. Congrats.
Real cool vlogs! You guys rock the air waves! Dont prang your prop!
Great job on capturing your adventure
That has got to be one of the coolest girls ever! Always laughing, smiling, willing to enjoy everything and completely supportive. If you woke up broke and homeless tomorrow she seems like the kind of person that would smile and say its going to be ok and I love you.
She's laughing, smiling, willing to enjoy everything, etc PRECISELY BECAUSE Jonas projects a confident, fearless, fun-loving aviator personality more than anything else - and she is there to soak in all of that positive energy as any GF would in this case. In my book, Jonas is the one that gets the credit haha. He is the one causing it.
Haha... that’s so funny when your trying to explain that to your wife! Great video man!! Keep up the great videos!
Sylvia is beautiful! Her eyes are mesmerizing!!!
